Hey there guys, sharing another tutorial that was inspired by the Among Us game which I enjoy playing occasionally. This hat is created using mainly Double Crochet. The yolk uses single crochet. The hat in itself is a beret so we just added the yolk to make it an egg hat.
I forgot to add a few things about what you needed so I'll list everything below.
Silly me also just realized that I keep referring to the 'magic ring' a 'slip knot'. My apologies to beginners esp for the confusion. This has happened in so many videos 😂
Back to business.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Hat:
1. 4.5mm hook
2. Bulky weight yarn in Off-white
3. A needle
4. Tape measure
5. Scissors
6. Stitch markers
Yolk:
1. 2.5mm hook
2. Medium weight yarn in Mustard Yellow
3. Stitch markers
4. Filling: I used fiber filling
5. Needle
6. Medium weight yarn in off white (optional)- I used it at the end to give the "light reflection"
SIZING
Measure around your head with a tape measure, just above your ears and eyebrows. Whatever you get, divide by 3.14.
This will give you the diameter you need for your head. (Helpful for making any hat)
For the beret, work 2-3 rows more than the diameter then after the repeat round , work decreases back to the measured diameter.
For example, my head measures 5.4 inches in diameter. I worked 9 rows which gave me around 7.5 inches. When decreasing I reduced until I got to have a 5.4 in diameter spacing for my head. Then I worked the stretchy part of the hat.

I finished my bucket hat from one of your other videos, and now I can’t wait to try this out!!! ☺️💫
Niiiiice... so glad to hear!❤️❤️ I hope you will like it... I think it's just so cute and quite a statement
I always wanted a beret and as a beginner I thought I should try this🙈 Surprisingly I made it! Thank you for the clear instructions (except the magic ring😂) It was easy for me to keep up with you.
Any beginner reading this, you can absolutely do this. Once you get a hang of where to increase in the rows, it's gonna be easier. Keep going. Be patient. The outcome will be worth it😎
Haha... I'm so glad you got it ❤️ Kudos to you being a beginner. Umm... I always try to avoid doing the tutorial on the magic ring 🙈. I will try do a separate one by itself. I only recently learned it myself 😂
It worked really well. I love this video!
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️ Glad you liked it

Could you please include the amount of stitches I should have by the end of a round so I can count and keep track? I enjoyed making this beret and I think it's really cute. I just think that it'd be quite helpful.
Hey Polly, yes sure
I will be sure to do that for the following videos. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ glad you like it!
