Happy Birthday Fishing sister - Just returned from 3 perfect days on Kangaroo Island and your videos were the key to knowing where to go. Highlights were a 38cm Bream at Western River, a 48cm Flat head and big tommies off the beach at Snellings Beach and a blue skies, white sand and crystal clear water at Emu Bay - we waded out to waist deep with a burley bucket around my waist and big mullet and a large salmon trout just jumped on the hooks! literally it went crazy for about an hour in the middle of the day. Great catch at an amazing spot. I recently got busted off when two >35cm salmon grabbed my garfish rig with size 12 hooks and gents. Gotta be prepared for anything. Great to see the salmon back in the gulf in such numbers
It is an awesome beach! I remember over 20yrs ago a salmon boat came in on the beach and the fisherman gave the kids a Huge salmon if they helped him load the fish in tubs from the boat. Done snorkeling around to the right there at the shipwreck. Many way to have a great day at Aldinga!
Great memories! I have always loved Aldinga too. Spent so many years camping at the caravan park and hanging out on the beach when the kids were young. Happy days 😍
Love your videos, we are going to KI in a couple of months so I am binge watching all your videos. Aldinga Beach is one of our local beaches but we have never fished there..
Aldinga is just beautiful. You should get mullet there at the moment if you berley up and fish with the changing tide. Do you use one of those fishing apps? KI should be great. Even though it will be winter there should be somewhere to hide from the wind :) Would love to hear how you go!

We havent fished in quite awhile , I had knee replacement surgery 8 months ago and am now waiting for a second one so Im on a walker at the moment so Im not sure beach fishing is on the cards for me at the moment but Im looking forward to trying the jetties and accessible places in KI
@@janet5551 we use fishing points - costs about $30 per year but is worth it. You can put in your location and see the wind direction etc and the best times of the day to fish. Really useful! Try Emu Bay - if the sand is hard enough you can drive on and fish practically from your car. Take a chair even :) If you have a 4WD then try Snelling Beach. Also that spot we parked and fished from Middle River just near Snelling would be easy for you too. Check that video out. Bream are heaps of fun to catch. I should mention as well that I have a closed group on facebook you can join and ask questions, post photos etc. Just type fishing sister group into google. There's people of all levels of experience in the group. Hope you have a great holiday!
Well done fishing Sister I’m so glad you found fishing. It’s not only the fish it’s the locations the quality time spent with loved ones. It be great if all fishing days were like the one you had. I have a saying you have pay your penance with fishing. My son is now 10 so I have been able to broaden his fishing experiences and then great times we had over this last School holidays, beach fishing trips leaving home at 230am heading down to past encounter bay where my son caught a 3kg salmon and a couple at 2kg ones that he still talks about weekly. We done so well on the blue swimmer crabs we need a break. The metro beaches teaching him how get live beach worms then catching some beautiful yellowfin whiting. We are blessed in Adelaide. Please keep posting your adventures and we may bump into you on the beach some time.
That sounds so amazing. I have only just discovered fishing so my kids missed out on all those experiences you describe. Your son is very lucky! And you have mastered catching live beach worms...that is one of my goals :)
Great video and well done on the Fishing Sister anniversary. My family first went fishing together a year ago too. Since then my little fella and I live and breath fishing. My wife and daughter enjoy our catch. Fishing is such a great hobby and we have met some awesome people.

Thanks! Well once the fish are over 35cms they are considered salmon (adult) where-as the younger ones below 35cm are salmon trout.

i always go metal fishing off aldinga beach we have a house one street from the beach and some days i take home 10 to 15 salmon trout all around 30 cm
