  • Port Noarlunga Jetty is known for it's surreal salmon fishing at times, especially when the water is clear during a big blow! When it goes off, they will take anything from stickbaits, soft plastics, hard bodied lures and bait. Most fish in this video were around 1-2kg, but the biggest went 64cm and 2.2kg!
NOTE: Apologies for the loud music and the different approach with the video. The wind was a insane on this day.

Awesome videos. I'm looking to get into fishing around Adelaide. For a starter just interested in some easy catch & release, during October to December months. I'd appreciate advice on where to start, on what bait and what time of the day? Thanks heaps

Salmon fishing is only good in the winter ?

You think 14lbs line would be risky at all?.. but i guess the risks make it more fun🤙

What's the best lure for salmon?

  • @BasicFishingNZ

wen the winds behind you, definitely aids casting distances especially on light lures

Is incoming or higher tide best ?

young bryan callen that looks to be incoming. Incoming is best for salmon cause the tide going in flicks up the crustaceans on the beach so the little fish eat the crustaceans then The salmon eat those fish hence why they are using soft plastics
But high tide is still good don’t get me wrong, just might have to get lucky that’s all but either works

Do you cook or smoke all your fish.

@AlexsFishin Love this. I do have a question, how does the 2500 size reel go reeling up a 2kg fish onto the jetty?? I tend to use Alveys (bait) or 4000 spin reels as a minimum if there's a chance of lifting anything of size up a jetty.

And that we did! Me, I did not keep a single fish for myself. Gave them away to mates and others that wanted a lovely feed plus released plenty. Had a ball.. 👌
