I like how different the Cross Examination themes in this game are. Many CE themes try to build up a feeling of tension and mystery, and it works phenomenally most of the time. More than once it turns out that someone's problems are tied up to the case at hand and nobody would have realized it if they hadn't been called up to perform this civic duty,
these games are so good, i don't understand how they sold so poorly in their original releases, but i also heard this was supposed to be a trilogy? maybe if the collection sells well, we could potentially get the third game!!!
I believe it was because when GAA1 was released in Japan, the budget was quite high for an AA game (fully fledge models, anime cutscenes, extra voice actings). Unfortunately, since the ending left a lot of questions unanswered and Capcom's marketing didn't do a good job portraying these games as a duology, not standalone games. A combination of those two and other external factors caused sales to suffer. As a result, GAA2 had a way smaller budget and you can clearly see that (faster pace, no anime cutscenes etc...), which leads to no localization until this year.
