  • The best VR treadmill. This is the new KAT Walk C2 CORE that for a low price allows you to walk, run, jump, and even horse ride inside VR. This is my review of this VR treadmill which is compatible with all headsets including the Quest 2 so that you can play any steam vr game from skyrim, vrchat to even some horror games. Making it the first consumer-level vr treadmill that is available and using the kat VR makes it almost feel like I am inside ready player one while getting a good workout as well. Although it is not at the level of the infinadeck or a DIY treadmill, this is the best omnidirectional treadmill you can buy at a low cost.

Very interested in these . In 90’ s was thinking they would make actual treadmill with something like a upside down pyramid or cone allowing the stretchy material that stayed taught to go in the “ Omni direction “ that would actually work .
I like this idea and very smart , would love to use if I could afford and wit I’d try them ALL …
However it locks me up from the system I have set up to “ actually move “ in VR lol .
I have 11x11 playspace with 2 feet clearance for arm swing . I use the analog to “ walk or run “ BUT … when everything goes to hell .. THAT when I move for real in my play space like for real for real . Not even worried hitting anything I am so used to bat crap crazy playing .
One caveat is I keep guardian very noticeable and have trained brain to reference where I am and where to “ jump “ back to middle of 11 x11 is how I do all this .
I truly thought this would be a natural reaction to a wireless headset and for a lot it is .
Tethered playing limits what you can do .. period , forces habits that will keep you thinking about VR like it is similar to flat stuff .. it NOT but I get it lol .
You can move as much as you set up for and adapt to , all VR requires us to be highly adaptive and able to take on new information that changes your perspective important .
Treadmills still need a lot of work because still limit movement too much imo , but only way to get them better is to go through prototype phase .
I really enjoy being able to crouch and have even done a dive roll in VR .. need to get that attachment off and make treadmill larger and an actual treadmill for “ perfect “ but have to start somewhere to see if people willing to get in shape to play games . I know I am and loving it 😍

@@VRelity yea , been watchin um a while . Still not sure if we even have a “ stretchy material to stay taught “ that would work but still want and actual treadmill goes in all direction and large enough I can actually move .
That all like 10 maybe 20 years but still think it will be natural evolution of this particular tech .
Movement in VR is just part of the whole experience, still do not understand seated play unless game calls for it personally , but as long as people keep playing don’t care how .
Would like some more like me so they can unleash a bit on control systems for our section . Hoping the new stuff with Asgards , Assassins , and Arashi and stuff gets some more active players playing .

All games are not compatible with this. Only games which have joystick locomotion. For example, Superhot VR is a room scale game that requires a few steps here and there. You cannot walk in that game on this device. Space Pirate trainer, another example. It's like being tied to a pole in that game, since it doesn't support joystick movement, you cannot step forward/backwards/sideways to dodge enemy attacks. That said, MANY games support joystick locomotion.
