What I love most about this band is that they don't take themselves too seriously and the music remains fun to listen to, especially live 🤟
And yet their music and musicianship is seriously better than just good

I am absolutely in love with The Darkness. Their music is inexplicably, incredibly incredible. I asked my wife (who is not really a music fanatic), "How would you describe their music?" She paused and answered, "It's...familiar, which it's strange because it is nothing like anything I ever heard." Brilliant!!! I think that is why they have achieved legendary status. There is something so familiar and so unique about their music. It's like falling in love with someone. There is something so familiar about them even though you hardly know them. You just want to know them more and more and your loves grows with every song. I guess you could say I'm a fan.
If Queen and AC/DC had a child, it would be The Darkness.
They are to rock -n- roll what the Beastie Boys were to rap...extremetly talented and great at their respective craft, while not taking themselves too seriously. A rare combination.

Absolute genius - the humour, the talent, the artistry, the musicianship, the inspiration, and it works on multiple levels as well as being pure FUN and entertaining, it's thought-provoking too. Seems like every other band forgot how to do this in the past few decades. The Darkness still stand for the joy of music.

Yep, so many nods to Queen songs, videos, side projects and album covers. I still think it's awesome that RT's son is now their drummer, because they've always worn their Queen influences on their sleeve and now it's sort of come full circle. Absolutely love it 🥰

Yeah, when a computer make 99,8 % of all music the last 50 or more years, all you should do is to LOL! Think about the real meaning with Epic, Sony, Virgin Records! And you all end up with that the only musician are coverartist.

There's not many bands that rock as hard as you guys do that have also stayed together for 2 decades and more. Your band and your names will be remembered as one of the greats in music history. Love you guys, rock on.
Man, you guys have really got it in the bag. I'm really grateful that you didn't stop at Permission to Land. Aside from the brilliant satire and choice of words there is so much tonal nuance and head nodding to musical greats that just isn't lost on me. In a sea of complete and utter societal tripe you guys make me want to pick up a guitar again.

Without getting into a conversation about Justin's undisputed vocal abilities, the key to everything today is to create a song that can get heavy airplay to reach as many listeners as possible; if this song had been a little less structurally complex, it would have had the chance to chart hands down. Just my opinion.
