They will never stop shitting out solid gold 👌 🤘
As the prophecy foretold...
watch enough darkness videos and you realize they are not only making the best music but pretty much making the best movies too
It's comforting that there's still a band that can rock like it's 1985...AND have a sense of humor
Americans don't like so much the sense of humor in hard-rock and heavy-metal songs, think about that music market and its potentiality...
@@antestiusleontius3774 Americans need to learn that there is a whole world outside of the US and the world doesn't revolve around them!
@@jamiedarcy2462 This is true if you are only thinking from a purely artistic point of view; but since a singer lives off his work and art without money gets you nowhere, that singer needs to leave every door open.... And those Americans are doorways, not just doors.
@@antestiusleontius3774 Why bother? Their loss.
@@antestiusleontius3774 I don't think The Darkness are in penury.
The Darkness is AWESOME!
The Darkness is the light!
Every new song from The Darkness is like a gift from the gods of rock and roll. Long live The Darkness!
I love a lot of music but I don't know that any band makes me as top to toe, good old fashioned happy as these guys do.
My god! I love this film clip! The jeans, the awkward motorbike ride, the period costumes and the solo! I mean what’s not to love?! Bravo to Ru’s acting too 😂👌🏻
Dan as a vilain is perfect!
It looks like Charles Chaplin movies
He probably played the solo on two vacuum cleaners. 😉
Truly fantastic song. Late to the party and heard this for the first time today and it's gone right in second place of my Darkness top 5:
Growing on me
Jussie's Girl
Keep your hands off...
Solid Gold
Last of our Kind
For what it's worth...
My top 5 Darkness songs are
Barbarian
Love is only a feeling
Jussy’s Girl
Black Shuck
Heart Explodes
This song came out the day I had to put my best friend nino down. Rip to all the dogs out there. Man's greatest treasure.
So sorry to hear that.
stay strong my friend
Hugs. I just checked the date this came out and we put down our doggie 4 days before this came out
He should seriously be the singer for Queen! He is the only singer I have ever heard who lives up to Freddie.
I adore love worship Justin but check out Foxy Shazam. I saw The Darkness do a show with them… amazing.
@@__Tat__ Justin did some producing for them I believe.
@@DaveDuncanMusic yes! 🥰!
@@DaveDuncanMusic that show is one of the my best memories!
@@__Tat__ I saw a show with them as well - in Eugene Oregon. AWESOME set.
Its great that The Darkness are making more music! And the new songs are so great!
Justin is a true badass rock star.
Their tone is always so fucking perfect.
As time has gone on, this has become my overall favorite band. I love all of their albums. I especially love Rufus on the drums. But of course Justin Hawkins is just the coolest ever in general. Give me a D. Give me an Arkness.
Rufus is Great ! I am self Drummer & Queen lover, and he make it very good :)
I love the fact that Jussy's girl is a cute little doggie. 🐶
This is the first song where I’ve noticed Rufus’ drumming as a stand out component in the band. It was instantly noticeable when Emily took over from Ed but more subtle when Rufus took over from Emily, I guess because they’re similarly matched in a technical sense. But yeah, these verses especially are elevated by Rufus presence. Looking forward to the next album, this is the best song they’ve released from it so far IMO.
I really hope the J in your name stands for Jones. That would be awesome IMO
Justin has so much feel on that geetar man.... 🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘
Straight up my favourite single so far from Motorheart!
It's mine too! That, Sticky Situations, Motorheart, It's Love Jim, and Nobody Can See Me Cry are my faves off the album.
I discovered the darkness when I was 13 and this year, I'm going to be 30 and have just rediscovered them. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the same level of goofiness now as 17 years ago.
literally exactly the same!
WHO......says Rock is dead...???.....sounds pretty much alive to me....!!
This is surely going to be an absolute belter of an album. This is the third song release and each one has been quality. The Darkness just keep on producing great rock. They're so underrated but I love 'em and hugely looking forward to getting the new signed album, t-shirt and then seeing them in Cardiff in November.
Underrated by some, their loss. Not underrated by me!!
@@frankshailes3205 Me neither!
I couldn't agree more, man! It's just a shame that the majority of "fans" here in the states only choose to remember them for "I believe in a thing called Love" and leave it at that. And if THAT'S not disturbing enough, one person I talked to awhile back even expressed shock at the fact that The Darkness was still around, as though to assume they just vanished from existence after the first album came and went. Needless to say, I inadvertently set them off on a binge-listening tangent in getting caught up not only with the D's 5 subsequent albums (not including the yet-to-be released "Motorheart"), along with initial post-breakup/pre-reunion projects like The Stone Gods and Hot Leg (both of whom sadly created nary a ripple of public interest on this side of the pond).
@@Rockstaralan I know what you mean dude. They are so way beyond "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" but that's all some people know them for. I have to explain and educate people every time I say I'm going to see them. Anyway, it's their loss. We can all carry on enjoying rocking out with The Darkness 🤘🤘
@@Rockstaralan oh its exactly the same in England. Even in lowey their home town
Here is the reason why Justin Hawkins is the best modern guitar solo author: He is thoroughly knowledgeable of how music is made. He captures the spirit of Brian May's vibratos and some of Angus Young's hammer on and pull off and Eddie Van Halen's tapping, but most importantly, if we listen to his numerous solos carefully, we would find that he has a distinctive pattern of notes and techniques to which he always returns, but without replicating himself.
I know that you will say: Is not this what professional guitar players do? The answer is no, and that is why The Darkness are the Last of Their Kind.
I will forever love the darkness. The sense of humor is just what we need, and musically it's fucking rocket fuel!!
The darkness is light
Straight up the best track and video since Last of our Kind era releases 👍🏻
The more i listen , the more i love this song.. fantastic..❤️❤️❤️
I’m so glad I found Justin’s YT channel, it’s got me back into The Darkness. I lost track of them after One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back. Looks like I’ve got a lot of catching up to do, and I’m looking forward to every second of it!
Me, exactly.
These guys just love having fun and giving their fans joy. They absolutely ROCK ❤ More Darkness records and live gigs please ❤
"And if you don't wanna be Jussy's girl, have you got a friend who looks just like you, but maybe isn't as fussy, who wants to be with Jussy." So relatable xd
The darkness and GNR both released songs today! Long live true rock n roll!!
The darkness still rock...
GNR are way past their best
GnR have sucked since '94.
@@stevieraywatson I’d rather both of them be out and rock keeps being made instead of the pussy shit on mainstream rn
Excellent work, fellas. I've been following you since you were given permission to land, and this track shows that you aren't going anywhere. Rock on
This is BRILLIANT!!!!!
Further cementing The Darkness as the greatest band of space and time.
Yet another absolute belter from rock's finest!
This track (and it’s video) is the best example of songwriting, production, concept, etc that the Darkness have released since, well, ever.
Best band ever...
"You're making me feel... SEHR GUT" - made my day :D
you cant help but LOVE THE DARKNESS! Friggin Justin is a trip. I also enjoy Justins YT channel. The band seems so down to earth. Really cool
Justin Hawkins is quite quickly becoming a massive influence musically
Probably the best band in the universe
Another cracking track from the lads. Can’t wait for the album.
oh what great, campy, silly FUN!!!!
love The Darkness!
"I'M IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION!!!!"
😂 I'm glad they didn't punt the dog
Love the song and great video! Boogie stole the show! 🐶❤️🤘
Feels like a classic darkness video, looking to be another belter of an album
Solid tune, video does it justice. The Darkness delivers yet again.
Love the song & Justins "David Lee Roth" - move. Great Job Guys!
I lost my way and now I’m back in your arms, The Darkness.
Can't wait!!!!🤘🖤🤘🖤🤘
Hello 👋👋👋
this makes me feel good
I love everything this video- the quirky silent film, the lyrics, the incredible riffs and the cute dog! #JussysGirl 👏🏻
It’s so refreshing to see a music video ending with teal love. 🐶
Long live The Darkness
I got fever by second vax dose and tomorrow I have to meet my far away family. Probably a good deal of Darkness rock will heal me in time.
Ahahah.. 37 ˚C... I cannot believe it worked for real! Thank you Darkness!
A time travelling telephone box...there's something in that.
Great new song from a lovely bunch of guys 🙏☮️❤️
Great track- and phenomenal video. Frankie riding a Penny Farthing?! Amazing. New album is shaping up nicely!
Love this song
Look and sounds like the golden 80s rock . Why is the darkness so good?
@JustinHawkins- 💝💝💖
What is the award for the most awesome song of the year?
I really like this VIDEO AND BAND IS AWESOME! A really entertaining like old movie type themed video and it really works BIG TIME! CONGRATS GUYS!!
The singer makes me laugh in this clip! Male high falsetto sound so cool and has a comical element to it.
Brilliance I tell you!! Thank you Darkness for making my nightshift at work with a great new song!!
Great! Great! Great!
The darkness age like fine wine and cheese 🙌🏻👍🏻 I'm very much loving the new music
This is mesmerizing. Would love to see more stuff from Arepo Films .
This is another The Darkness triumph, great work 👍
Love that their productivity has rocketed since Rufus Taylor (son of Roger Taylor) became their drummer.
And this song has that Queen sound from the 90's.
@@martingimenez339 The Darkness started out with a totally unashamed approach that highlighted their influences and who they loved, without being lame copies of them - like Justin’s one piece look, it deliberated “hat tip” to Freddie. Basically saying, “He was my idol” without doing anything else like him.
Having tracks that almost completely rely on the drum “work” is cool because no bands really do it (only Foo fighters)
- with Queen it was “I’m in love with my car”, “Ride the Wild wind”, “These are the days of our lives” “We will rock you” (obviously), “I want it all” “Radio Gaga” yeah some are obvious because they were written by Roger, but some weren’t (some mentioned above weren’t)
The Darkness have mastered that without “ripping off” Queen - which is hard to do.
They use tones like Gary Moore, Steve Vai, Brian May, Eddie Van Halen, even a few touches of Jonny Greenwood lunacy.
As I said, having Rufus Taylor join them seems to have increased their productivity, but I think it’s because he’s given them a solid unit with Frankie’s Bass to work off, and maybe boosted their overall confidence in their work.
So good🤘🏻catchy mid tempos are always my favourite Darkness songs.
So far their best song from Motorheart! Love it 5☆!
welcome back boys.....glad to hear from you again....The Darkness is back!!!
Rock n roll is alive and kickin' with The Darkness! Glad to still have them around.
The Darkness = Rock n' Roll awesome song!!!
Awesome song.I expected nothing less. Loved the solo. Thanks guys for keeping us rockin'
Guitar masterpiece.
Go! Watching now!
How can anyone not love a man and his pibble ? These dogs love their family so much and bring so much joy...
RIP Mean Joe.
that solo is all time. Smiled so hard i got faint
WOW, stuck on my homepage waiting to be clicked on. I guarantee you had the same experience.
The new songs get better and better . Keep it going
A day the Darkness releases a new song is a good day.
Tremendous riffing!
The melodies, the hooks, so. damn. good.
Long Live The Darkness 🔱
OMG THIS IS AWESOME I love the chorus, it reminds of Def Leppard (my 2nd fav band, The Darkness being my 1st 🤘)
edit: and honestly, one of my favourite music videos of all time now I've finished watching it!!
@Beth Ulrich you too!
Fantastic. This album keeps getting better
Good song. Thank you for another interesting addition to your awesome collection.
So excited!!
Best band in the world!
Best videos! Amazing production, songwriting just mind blowing. So much fun passion and energy…
Superb! Looking forward to the album release, it's just what everyone needs!
Classic. Stay well fellas. Keep on rockin
Amazing how much light the Darkness can bring to life!😉❤
Such fun!!! 😉 Solid, cool rock song imbedded in a funny 1980s turned to silent movie style music video. Always so unique and creative. That's why I love this band.
Splendid
The best 80s song ever written in 2021
I love this sound!
Omg! This is so brilliant, is getting better all the time that I listen. I LOVE THE CHORUS, Perfect! 💘💘💘❤️🎸
Top marks for Dan's look in this video.
LOVE this new song!
Great BAND!!!!
