- He may have been more peaceful in the Norse era, but Kratos has killed a LOT of Greek Gods. For this list, we’ll be looking at every God’s appearance and ultimate demise at the hands of our favorite God of War. We’ll be looking at each God in chronological order of events of Kratos’ bloody tour through the Greek Pantheon. Demi-Gods will also be included. Our list of every Greek God Kratos has killed includes Charon from “God of War: Chains of Olympus” (2008), The Sisters of Fate from “God of War II” (2007), Hades from “God of War III” (2010), and many more! No matter how powerful the Greek Gods are in the *God of War* franchise, Kratos is the Triumph character to slay them all.
I have always wondered though. Did Aphrodite survive? By the time you meet her in her chamber, most of the destruction Kratos caused was already done. Plus she is immortal. So surely she survived still. And also I wonder what ever happened to Artemis, Apollo, Hestia, Demeter and others?
Also, she had that portal to where Hephaestus was so she could have went through there and probably been safe

Crazy thing. I initially thought when first playing God Of War 2018 that Kratos dead wife was Aphrodite and she survived somehow and her and Kratos went far far away to the Norse lands and she passed before he did. Of course not long into the game I knew that wasn't the case 🤣

Actually he did fight Morpheus. If I remember it right it should’ve been in GOW 3, but was later cut from the game due to timing issues. It had a really cool and interesting concept and could’ve even been considered some sort of a horror section :)

I would love to see Kratos fight the mythic heroes, gods and mythical creatures from Irish and Celtic Mythology like such as Lugh, Balor and the Puca.

@@moneylover318 It seems Hinduism today is the only large scale Polytheistic Religion, no one in Greece or Norway for example believes in the Pantheon or the Aesir, as for Aztec Gods i am sure no one in Mexico Believes in them today, unless you believe what you see in Breaking Bad.

Here’s my question of the day where was Artemis in god of war 3 considering she was in 1 and didn’t help defend Olympus from kratos attack in the finale to the trilogy.
you guys missed Gaia (stabbed in the heart with the blade of Olympus), Perses (stabbed in the eye with the blade of Olympus), Prometheus (mercy killed) and Orkos (killed on his request)
Theseus wasn't a half sibling of Kratos, they had different mothers and fathers.

Kratos shouldn't have been able to kill Megaera, Tisiphone, Alecto, Charon, and Persephone because at those times, he hadn't yet acquired the power to kill a god from Pandora's box. Also, how come Orkos and Gaia aren't on this list? They're deities as well

Gods in the god of war franchise are not truly immortal in the since that they cannot die at all their version of immortality is living indefinitely and recovering , withstanding, enduring, and surviving things that would otherwise be fatal or debilitating to a normal human and can’t be killed through conventional means unless it’s from a powerful weapon or other powerful being
Presumably he never actually needed to open the box because he was a demigod son of Zeus. In the Dad of War sequel, he tells his son that he was born a god, presuming that to mean demigod. In Greek mythology, its very common for the son of the ruling class (ie: Ouranos as a primordial, Kronos as a Titan) to be able to kill his parent and take his place as king. Zeus is aware of this as he knows that his son from his first wife would take his place and he intentionally doesn't sleep with Thetis because her son would be greater than his father, which would presumably make him strong enough to defeat Zeus.
Outside of the lore though, they clearly didn't think Zeus would be Kratos's father until after they started making sequels.
Honestly, that has always been a problem, one of reasons the game developers give is that they weren't really part of the main Olympian pantheon are are considered lesser Deities.

Kratos had no beef with Hercules, openly stating their father Zeus had no favorites, but his half brother was blinded by his ambition on becoming the new god of war. Hephaestus was another one whom Kratos had no problem with but he merely did what any father would’ve done, upon seeing him return from killing Kronos, Hephaestus decided to kill Kratos himself as to save Pandora from being used to unlock Pandora’s box.

Gaia is a titan
Ya she is a titan, but she is someone of great importance in Greek mythology and thought she'd be on this list since non-god persons like Theseus and Perseus are on the list. Plus Kronos, a titan, is listed on this list as well. I just thought that Zeus' grandmother would be on the list.

Ya know......a lot of these deaths could have been avoided if the Gods of the Greek Pantheon had just left Kratos alone. They KNEW what he was capable of, especially after he killed Ares. Don't poke a bear with a stick & then act surprised when it retaliates violently.

As much as I want Egyptian mythology in a GOW game I’d rather prefer Japanese mythology because it is just so underrated compared to Greek, Norse & Egyptian the only Japanese god I know is none other than Amaterasu.
