- I finally made it to Graceland! August 2009... this is a tour through Elvis' living quarters (with horse stables included). I was surprised at how small Graceland actually is... But an amazing thing to be able to see where the King lived and died.....
I didn't include the Meditation Garden... that's another video...

This song (welcome to my world) reminds me of my visit to Graceland in 2009.....this played as we drove through the gates to Graceland...i can honestly say the emotions were overwhelming and brought a few tears to my eyes as this happened.....i will never ever forget this experience and hope to visit again in the coming years !!!!

In 2010, I went to Graceland! :) I was 11! And I've been an Elvis fan since I was 9....Now I'm 13 and I'm still an Elvis fan and I will never forget him!! He's my everything! :) I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! R.I.P ELVIS PRESLEY
Nice video! I was there in 1984 and back then only the house and grounds were open. They would open the gates to the public at 8am to view the meditation gardens. It was so surreal walking up the Graceland on a summer morning, when dew was still on the ground. Graceland and the property is so beautiful! I would love to go again!

Thank you so much for posting this. Brought back some lovely memories(& some sad, due to being close to Elvis for wrong reason!) I visited Graceland in August 82' with the Elvis Fan Club of GB. (couldn't wait to join the tour booked through the fan club, 3 of us bought tickets & went early on, then again before having to go home.Made some life-long friends on that trip, we still keep in touch & go to Elvis functions together. We've shared some of the most treasured times, thanks to Elvis!

I was there at midnight one night..passing thu Memphis on my way to Okc.............spoke with the guard and wrote my name on the wall next to famous gate............my joy......love you Elivs always.............
I was surprised at how small it was also. But if you think about him leaving this world in the 70's that was a long time ago. Now people get bank loans and the bank owns the home. Most the time they make minimum payment and don't even accumulate equity.During the time that he bought it people didn't get 100% loans and live all mortgaged. They raised a family in a home between 700 to 900 square foot. So for the times too have a home this size paid off was a really big deal. I remember looking at the pool and thinking that is so small. But during that time virtually no one had a pool. Lisa's swing set was the same kind I had as a child but back then they didn't have those custom build play areas in every backyard that came with a payment plan. Thanks for posting video. I went to graceland for the first time in August 2010.

Elvis Presley was such a great singer, performer, and man. I never got to see him, and I have never been inside the gates of Graceland, even though I am the biggest Elvis fan I know. But someday I will sit beside him and talk to him. Elvis was the King of Rock-n-Roll, but even he knew who was the King of Kings. Jesus Christ said, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."
rustyweeks1979 Well said, Elvis had a talent that came from somewhere larger and greater than all of us. He died when I was only 7. I do want to see Graceland. Check out the Graceland footage in Rattle and Hum if you have not done so. You'll enjoy it.

I agree. I am am baby boomer and was denied the privileges of his movies and music but boy I am.buying amazon out of everything I think I'd like. I only wish they would show it all on tv satellite instead of all the new crap they show. And for the record Robert Mitchum is the best actor ever. Tv shows a little once a year. Really great job on this video. Very clever. I love Elvis but I probably won't get to Graceland. This was wonderful to see. State of the art for its time, but really, it is quite small and humble for "the King." He gave away cars and rings instead of building the mansions they build today. Thanks.

I was there december 2010 with my wife...I agree Graceland was small, I thought all along it was big. However the lot area is really big. I was really amaze.....

I went to Graceland for my Honeymoon in 85, When i walked in that front door- I had the shakes,goosebumps and almost numb ! It was surreal to be walking into Elvis'es place ! Im NO WIMP but i dam near had tears just from the thought of being in His Space.

I was there in 09 too, it was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I will be back for Elvis week 2012. Wishing my life away, can`t wait to go back to paradise.

A friend and I visited about 12 years ago now (I was a huge Elvis fan since I was a kid and had always wanted to go) and I was surprised at the actual size as well, for some reason I though it would much larger. It was definitely "70's" but of course it would be...There were some beautiful areas and it was wonderful to finally go there...Thanks for the memories epfan1000 :-)

Im 13 now! I've been an Elvis fan for about 8 years!!! I've been to Graceland once, I was like 9 or 10! It was the best day of my entire life!! I loved it! My dream came true!! :D My friends judge me that I like Elvis! They always say the he's gay!! I hate that!! Anyway, Graceland was very big! I wish I could back there again and see it! lol When I first stepped in the house I started to cry! lol I was very emotional! IT WAS MY FIRSY TIME AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT DAY!!! I LOVED IT!! :D

In 1977, it cost $500,000 a year to maintain Graceland. Elvis had given away most of his money as he was a kind and generous man. It had to either be sold or opened to the public. I and millions of others are so glad they chose to open it. The 30th anniversary of it's opening is this week. June 2012. Nearly 18 million people from around the world have walked through. God Bless Elvis.

This is a beautiful video..and the song you chose was exactly the one that I ha d chosen for MY video of Graceland, which I have NOT uploaded yet! That song is just perfect when taking someone on a video tour of his home,because Graceland was, and always will be...HIS world. Thank you.
Being in the house was almost like stepping back in time 35 years it was so 70 it was almost like time had stood still, and i guess that is how it will forever in Graceland.
A few years prior from the year 2009,,,,, I had visited Graceland. I have enjoyed looking at the Attracts and all the rest on displayed.

I went there in March, 2000 right after my retirement. I called and stayed at Heartbreak Hotel at the end of the lonely street. I spent my whole time with Elvis for 48 hours in 3 days. I had Mojo, too. Well, ladies and gentlemen, will you listen to this: A young immigration officer asked me and said "Why do you go to Memphis? I said "Graceland" and he said " What is that?" I couldn't say a word at all, I just left him. He didn't stop me.

One has to keep in mind that this home was built in the 50's and Elvis passed away in the late 70's. Today, huge mansions are the norm for stars who make millions in movies and concerts.
On this day in 1955 {Oct. 14th} Elvis appeared on concert at the Odessa High School Fieldhouse in Odessa, TX...
On the bill were Johnny Cash, Wanda Jackson, Porter Wagoner, Floyd Cramer, and others...
And 138 miles north in Lubbock, TX Bill Haley & the Comets were playing, and Buddy Holly was one of the opening acts...

Was there in the early 90's. Since then, they have opened up more of it. The back of the house wasn't even painted when I was there.
