I thinned out a neighborhood and had cleanliness and entertainment percentages jump. cleanliness went to 100 and entertainment with just a pub hit around 80. Going to play around with that as soon as I get my chores done
The entertainment range for the Theatre in tier 1 is only 200m not 300m, the info says place this building within 200m of 30 residences, when it goes up to tier 2 then it becomes 300m for the Grand Theatre (and they have misspelt the word Theatre lol 'Theater')
exactly the video i was looking for to prove my assumptions, i was wondering why my entertainment is going down the higher my population goes, so i started spamming theaters everywhere and it helped, now need to raise beer production and spam pubs to get back to 100% sad population cap is 1000, i just reached that yesterday and wanted to see how far i can go, but yeah, knowing this just depressed me ^^
Take a drink every time he says theatre, HIC, Hey why have I got 4 cats all of a sudden, burp Oi did you spill my girlfriend, hic Sorry man, burp I love you, hic :)
Yeah that follows the general trendline we've seen with entertainment... after about 400 or so you have to have more entertainment buildings than you did before
@@TakaRUclips I still haven't built a second theater - I did more planning on this playthrough than previous ones, but I don't really have a good place for another one. Currently almost at 550 pop. Have you noticed that the merchants aren't as good as the last version? I'm lucky if I find something I need every other year - usually is 3-4 before I get a good trade. Haven't seen anyone who wanted to buy hauberks in 18 years.
Because repairs have not been completed in time, or desirability has dropped below the amount needed. You can sometimes get them to be un-condemned if you can get the desirability up, but its usually faster to destroy them and build another.
Great explanation! I have around 500 residents and they are all unhappy with my pub locations haha Also: We must be from different parts of the country =) we say Theater very differently. THēədər/thee·uh·tr
Thanks for the clarification, Taka.
Didn't messed around with the entertainment yet, so the info is greatly appreciated.

Yes but once you upgrade u will have overlapping theater radius so you build/design to the upgraded ranges
The festival pole is tier 2 and counts for entertainment
The festival pole wasn't in the game when I made this video.

If you can hold on a few weeks the next update is going to overhaul the entertainment!

I for one did not know how to use The Atre.
My entertainment supply has been going down since I've hit 400 pop.

Hopefully update comes soon
Has anyone played Foundation? Looking for a new city builder to play.
why do a house or building get condemned?
Because repairs have not been completed in time, or desirability has dropped below the amount needed. You can sometimes get them to be un-condemned if you can get the desirability up, but its usually faster to destroy them and build another.
@@VerucaKatt or just relocate and then plop it in the same spot. Works every time
@@TakaRUclips Thought that only worked for the 0.7.5d (e?) bug. Good to know.
Nope still works
