Seed: 1E817F12618 - medium size I know that seed is in the video at the start but this is a faster copy-paste and still looks playable in 0.8.2A... I will definitely do several trials there on trailblazer
@@TacticatGaming Yeah and I meant Vanquisher, not Trailblazer :D, btw I restarted 3 times already, and your 3 deer spots nearby at the start are so crazy boost, I managed to have one deer spot and it was almost at the opposite side of the hill, 2nd attempt I had 1 spot of 3 deers next to center but still got really slowed, my intentions are to have 1k city up there, fields down ( almost like a real medieval walled city on a hill ), but it will be hundreds of hours to make big enough plateau ... and with potential 0.8.3 deep veins I will be definitely restarting it in 0.8.3+
Nice to see a new build on the "Grand Mesa"! I also had started a 'practice' build on top of the mesa and discovered the exact same thing you did! I know that I asked you about arborists and you explained why you only do apples! My question now is why not do all 3 and have the variety of fruits for your citizens? Also like the peaches harvest at a earlier time of the year than apples or pears. I really enjoy watching your builds... Thank you for the great content and keep up the great work! Oh I also had an observation about the mines (iron, gold and coal) that you don't have to put them directly on top of the resource and can put them off to one side as long as the 'circle of area worked' is over even the edge of the resources! I had a gold resource in a similar location to where I wanted to place my houses (using the city of the gods build) so I placed my gold mine about where the 2nd root cellar is just east of the town center and had no negative impact on my houses!
For arborist planting the peaches would be wise if you’re having a large spoilage to vary the harvest. To my knowledge verity of a one class food type like fruit has no impact. I just do apples because I never have to look at it for around 40 years.
@@TacticatGaming thank you, I of course also like to plant peaches and pears because I like them more than apples.... No accounting for spoilage or other factors... LOL 🤣
Hi all.. I hear that the devs are bringing in health and safety inspectors to oversee dangerous work place practices. and also add a Workers union building, just to spice it up. loll😂😉
I just start this game about 1 hour or so. this game is really beautiful. the fact you can zoom in is really nice with that graphic. I am planning to build a real life civilization that build on random. not really symmetrical like you. just to portrait real housing at that time period. I am also planning to not really fast forward things, just let them build real time
there are some issues with enemies glitching into the sides lol. I'm working on a solution - but i know other people have done this, i'm trying to use roads i'm placing around the map to bring them to one place.
just a heads up, I watched one of the dev streams, and they are planning on closing "the town center bug." He said it was "never supposed to be movable" and that they would "fix that bug" at some point moving forward. I didn't even know that you could move the town center and like an Idiot, I started my city on top of the mountain...it was struggle bus deluxe
@@TacticatGaming I don't know why they don't want the player to be able to move the town center, it's a sandbox game, I thought it was weird you couldn't just "move it" I had no idea about the "clear it bug." It's really fun to watch other players strategies, you textile industry is a tight.
I wonder if the AI would take the bait if a "kill zone" was set up at one unimpeded pathway to the ridgetop where no doubt the best loot will be stored??? Kinda like old school Stronghold style...
The old ai will go for pathing , open gates ect - the new ai goes for the weakest point in your defense that’s close to them - big change , and unfortunately there are some huge bugs with the terrain lol
In the video I only use a camera mod that lets me see from higher up. I don’t use any terraforming mods. Terraforming mods do exist, but with patch 8.1 a lot of mods are out of date and I’m not sure if they are working

one trick I started to do for wells is to surround them with juniper bushes. That seems to increase their water retention.
** IMPORTANT - as of patch 0.8.1 you can no longer use clear to destroy and move the town center. You will need to place this on top the mountain.
Would there be a way to do the wood, starting up there? I'm assuming to send people down to get it?
@@xalderin3838 it can be done, it just means your start will be slower.
