- In this week's episode of Shiny New Products, David takes a look at the brand new Sidi Wire 2 shoes, the latest high-end carbon race shoe from the iconic show manufacturer.
With a raft of refinements, an all-new upper and THAT matt grey finish, and a big price tag, we're expecting some seriously good performance out of them

Definitely love the colour! and I'm going to buy some purely on that point. I've had Sidi shoes before - Ergo or Genius, can't remember, but they were unbelievably shiny silver. Time for something a little low key.
I have just ordered mine, love the color. Price in Germany is now at half price to what it was when released.

Like these a lot. Sidi is usually a good fit for me and I need to solve the cramping in my feet at long last from not having a stiff-enough sole. But very 'spendy'!
Love the colour and the shoe! Not crazy about the price!!
What'd important improve the colour is flouro yellow on the back and that'd help with visibility issues from behind !

Thanks for the video. I like the gray color, but would probably like other colors more. I have the previous version in red/white but am considering getting my next pair in solid red. Recently saw a top-five video that showed the Sidi Shot in red, but cannot find them online anywhere. Probably won't buy until the spring (March/April). I have the unfortunate issue of the toe touching the front tire occasionally; so future shoes will not be white ! As always, I enjoyed your video.
I'm sure a wider range of colours will be made available soon. I had a look and could find a black and red Shot that looks pretty cool. Not sure that would go with any of my kit though!

Love the color. Sidi makes fantastic motorcycle boots. Cycling shoes are supreme. For me just right. Lightness is overrated. Stop complaining and work on your fitness. Well done here Matey.
Nice and clean looking shoe. Like Look make pedals are Sidi in the Bike Shoe Industry! Its what they are good at, right?

I don't like the grey. I recently ordered the Sidi Genius 7's on sale in white with red highlights. Looking forward to them arriving soon!
Anyone wearing the grey colour? Thinking of getting either grey or black, but I saw someone's video, the grey colour peeled off, he said maybe because of "flying" pebbles. Hard to make the decision 😅
maybe is a "heavy shoe", but I've tried many top shoes and the stiffness and durability of these shoes have no competition. I had a DMT ultimate shoes and lasted 15 years... just small scratches and super easy to clean, same carbon fiber sole, super stiff.. no "stiffness 9, 10...12" just STIFF !!!

I always thought the Sidi wires were far, far better than the Sidi Shots. I didn't like the placing of the BOAs on the middlefoot of the Shots. Now we got one lateral BOA and one middle foot BOA. Don't know what to think.
Interesting observation Oscar. I'll definitely be looking at how they compare to the Shots and if there's a clear winner out of the two
It can be my feet´s bones (very thin feet) , but the "central" BOAs put a lot of pressure (even not tightening them strongly) on my foot upper part. The "lateral" BOAs worked way better for me.
These shoes look nice but I bet they are over 300g per shoe! I just bought shimano RP9 shoes which are much lighter and half the price

The ergo 5 mega is 350g. Sidi don’t seem to do light shoes for some reason.
why do they place that dial on top of the foot, just creates a hot spot - fashion over performance !

Grey will never be fashionable imo, look better in other colours imo, love Sidi!
