    The presenter in this video did a excellent job of carefully describing each step and the up close camera shots were indispensable. If the Academy awards gave out an Oscar for appliance repair videos, then this guy would get one.
    I successfully replaced a leaking sump in my 9-year-old Bosch dishwasher using this video and the sump replacement kit that I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros (the rubber seal on the old sump failed and water leaked inside the unit and triggered an E:15 error code). The process took me 3.5 hours to complete end-to-end. I estimate that I saved between $400 - $500 by doing this repair myself. Before doing the repair I watched the entire video, then during the repair I had the video in front of me and I proceeded carefully step by step (I paused and did rewinds of the video as needed). In my setup, my dishwasher is hardwired, so I had to turn off the electrical at the breaker and disconnect the wire from an electrical junction box under the sink.
    One correction to the video at 24:30 -- I ordered the sump replacement from Appliance Parts Pros and the hose clamp WAS included with the sump

    After watching this I tightened up the four sump screws inside the cabinet. This fixed the leak, huge time and money saver. Great video thank you!

    Wow!!! This is one of if not the best 'how to' videos I have ever seen. Great explanations, great shots, ... perfection. This should be used as an example for anyone wanting to do these type of videos. Thank you!

    This is spectacularly well done--every step, what to look for when performing an action, exceptional video, very clear, cautions to prevent damage, very complete. It covers more than just the sump, but every component on the way. After a contribution like this video, there was no question who deserved my business for the parts. Thank you!

    Had a very slow leak, that was tripping the water sensor E15 error. Replaced a leaking diverter motor and valve assembly on the sump. Followed these instructions to a T. Took me 3.5 h total to install the new part and get ‘er up and running. Great video. Dishwasher works perfectly now

    Extremely helpful video, thank you. I could not understand why I had a leak and could not localize it. Mine leaked for years giving the E15 error. I ended up replacing the water distributer/diverter thinking that was the problem but it was not. Unfortunately the years of leaking ended up corroding the main pump and it failed, so needed to replace that as well. I did not solve the leak problem until I replaced the sump itself. No clear sign why it / the gasket would leak though. I wish the sump had metal inserts for the four sump screws instead of plastic as I was afraid of stripping the plastic. The insides of this Bosch dishwasher are identical to my 10 year old Kenmore which uses the same parts. Hoping it will last a long time now.

      I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out where my E15 error water is coming from. Is intermittent - can go weeks without a problem. Wondering if I need to look at replacing the Sump Assembly. Sounds like you never found a "smoking gun" yourself, but the sump replacement worked?

      @@roberth1723 For me the sump replacement fixed the issue and it hasn't leaked since.

    This is an incredibly well done video. Step-by-step instructions, well lit, good camera angles, etc. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to buy parts from these people. I may have missed it in the video, but I found one electrical connector that wasn't plugged in, but it was obvious where it went. It took me four hours from start to finish, but it was hassle free except for continually mopping up water. Thank you!

    Fantastic tutorial! Now I’m hoping tightening my sump up cures the leak 😂
    I’ve saved this video in case I need to change it, thanks 😊

    If you get a stubby screwdriver with a torx bit you don't have to take the door panel off.

    What is the cause of sump failure.Rubber gasket or sump deformation, or something else?

    • @eturnltube
      @eturnltube 2 года назад

      A mystery it seems... I have a small leak from the top of the sump assembly, but unless the gasket seal is damaged (but from what??) I can't understand why it would suddenly leak... therefore I'm not confident changing the entire assembly (which also comes with a new gasket) will fix this. I suppose I'll have to take it apart first to see...

    Why does the door cover need to come off?

    • @norwoodbuilder7529
      @norwoodbuilder7529 Год назад +1

      The 2 torx screws at the front bottom of the unit cannot be accessed unless the front door cover is removed.
