- The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island has been on my bucket list for A LONG TIME! This Pete Dye masterpiece was the host of the 1991 Ryder Cup and the 2012 PGA Championship, both of which have become legendary in their own right.
When it comes down to it, what's not to love about the Ocean Course? You'll get all the challenge you ever wanted here (especially when the wind is up) but at the same time the beauty that surrounds you will provide comfort to even the toughest rounds.

Great video! I’ll be checking the Ocean Course off of my bucket list this summer. Crazy your video is 4 years old and you said it was $397 + caddie tip. Now it’s $650 + caddie tip in the summer. Can’t wait though!!

Played it Saturday and Sunday what an amazing course. Saturday had crazy rain and heavy winds from a very large storm. Sunday completely different course steady wind with sunshine. Might be one of the only courses you could play and it be completely different each time. Loved it!
Get an early tee time. Less wind and the sunrise is awesome. I think its over 400.00 bucks now to play.
We just booked it for November at $469 per player plus $110 for the caddy.
Totally worth the price folks as you will not be disappointed!!!!

Honestly..I don't think they are that far off to that status..everything taken care of in exchange for the round and interview with director of golf or head pro owner etc on RUclips

Ive been lucky enough to play every course on that island. Absolutely stunning. Also absolutely expensive.

Just played all 5 courses last week with Marine Corps buddy’s. It is absolutely beautiful!! They have cheap packages in the winter months. 5 days all courses for under 1k. Weather was in the high 60s. That’s your only risk is the weather.

Very steep unfortunately. But I did recently hear that they have killer Military rates. Somewhere around $80 to play the Ocean Course, so if you're military it's quite a deal!

Also- I live nearby in Charleston... you can play it for a lot less than the normal green fee. Just have to know when to play.

What day did you play the ocean course? I played 7:30am on 5/20. Agree, amazing experience and a challenging yet fair test of golf. Sunrise was impeccable and I'm sure sunset is even better.
Bald Ballz played 5/17 at 9am. The weather was perfect and the wind was to be expected. Actually went back later that night for a drink at the Ryder Cup bar and got to catch the sunset. The whole place is just magical.

Is the Front nine on one side of the clubhouse and the back nine on the other side of the clubhouse
I played today and it is amazing
$460 to walk on a weekday. The common man only dreams of laying out that cash.
Check out King & Prince Resort, an hour south of Kiawah, where you can stay and play and eat for that $. It's a 5-star course too.
But yeah, Kiawah is BEAUTIFUL.

Graham Wale the Ocean Course is on a whole different level. Up there with some of the most difficult courses in the world. But it sure is a fun challenge.

Chris Cohan surpringly no. I’ve had this white bag for a year now and the synthetic leather stays pretty clean on its own. When it gets dirty I just hit it with a magic eraser and it’s clean as new.
