This is a great video Golficity. Man I puckered when I saw the drone heading for the trees and when that first branch appears in the shot it's like OMG here it comes! I think I'm going to try a 36 hole in a day one of these weekends just to get a feeling of what a 54 kinda feels like. I don't think I could finish 54 holes without a tournament holding the course open I think I would be dealing with a lot of slow play and travel distance between courses. Looking forward to Scotland Series!!!!

Ballyowen is my favorite course in NJ, or at least favorite PUBLIC course. I work there as a summer job, and have since I think 2013. Matter of fact, I was working the day of the ironman, my car is behind y'all in the parking lot at 13:03, green Honda CR-V. Keep up the videos, I really enjoy them 👍

In Denmark there is a match called Marathon Golf each year. That is 4 rounds (72 holes) in one day. And everyone is walking all 4 rounds, and the course in NOT flat.
I don't play golf anymore because unfortunately I can't afford it. Sure wish I could though cause I loved playing but I love the videos I watch them all the time.

It was called applemania. Good Lord i golfed that summer, looking back i have no idea how. Last week we did 36 holes on a 7300 yard track and 18 on a par 3 course and I'm still feeling that. Lol
On my local course, a few friends play 72 holes per day , once a year ...and walk. The course is short but hilly. They play From abour 4am to 9pm. This year was the 14th year.
We do 72 in a day once every years. Four different courses. First start 03.20 am. Done around 10.30 pm. Rules are: Stroke play, maximum 8 shots, everyone must walk and if you carry your bag all 72 holes you get one free throw and one free kick.
In best ball each Player plays his Down ball through the hole and you pick the better score for the card. In a scramble each player plays his own ball, then you pick the best one for the next stroke and every player of the team plays from that position. Then you repeat until the ball is in the hole. So you have up to 4 chances to get the best result.
I thought you guys were walking it, definitely would have been more interesting! Longest I’ve ever walked is 30 hold in one day and man that was tiring
@@Golficity Interesting. I would have imagined, that you could play mich faster considering you are driving carts and play a scramble and all. 4 hours for 18 holes with a cart seems very long.

Did 93 in a 48hr span. Odd number cause extra holes for skins that pushed. That was while drinking too. Lol. Early season too. Was whipped and sore.

Surprisingly, not that bad. We were more sore walking 36 holes every day in Scotland. Riding in carts obviously makes a huge difference!

Unfortunately walking was not permitted for this tournament because of the time (daylight) restriction. Maybe next time...

I've played 54 several times, but I get really sloppy in the last 9-12 holes. I stopped doing it because it gets ugly.

8 minutes per hole = less than three hours for a round but you took 5...
Of course you would be able to do 72 holes but you wouldn't of been able to do 72 holes if you were walking
