This was filmed before the Taylormade announcement.
So excited to do more of these! I will be doing some public courses soon. What course should we do next?
Today's fact: Squirrels plant more trees than an average human in their lifetime. They just hide their acorns and nuts underground and forget about them..follow me for more daily fun facts!
@Clyde so they just nut all over the place, eh?
Come play Sun Valley in Louisville, Ky. 😂
Can I have ur good good putter 😂
Hey grant! I was wondering why you were playing mizuno here. I was thinking you were playing taylormade now. Hoping for you to respond.
I'm always excited for a new Horvat video, but dang I really miss the Grant and Garrett days! They were great together
They should definitely collaborate in the future
@@sickmanstick8970 I think they will
They use to hit different boys were like brothers
Grant it’s time to kiss and make up. Bro hugs 🤗
bro the bond on camera was different
Makes me happy knowing that Grant is out there living this life for the rest of us.
Same. So true
Seriously. If it can’t be me, I’m glad it’s him haha.
Yeah, fuck that guy. Just kidding. He deserves it, very humble.
I like my life just fine thank you very much. It’s better than Grants as a matter of fact and unlike Grant I’m an adult.
@@donjohnson5123 what is this comment 😂.
Course reviews are my favorite. It's cool seeing courses most of us will never be able to play but could you do some that we could play without knowing somebody? We travel quite a bit and like to play when we do. Keep up the great work Grant
Amen. Bluejack national is one of those courses that will just never get played since its a private course in a gated locked away community.
Yes. Like doing course reviews of nice public courses. I grew a mountain biking channel when I lived in Tennessee and that was my whole channel until i started getting more partnerships and doing content on their gear and such. Anyways, i was out previewing mountain biking trails and giving content around the parking, bathrooms, and various other facilities. Basically served as a scouting report because a lot of people travel to ride different trails and want to know if it's worth stopping at that trail or maybe didnt know the gates close at a certain time, etc.
It's the same thing with golf courses. It would be great to see more previews like this for regular courses that the general public can access. Just going to a website doesnt always showcase the course very well.
They are my least favorite vids. Just show off the course, I dont care about his arbitrary rankings of courses Ill never visit. If you play, you know their are plenty of apps that allow you to review courses.
@@calvinhobbes6118 I can agree with that. I don't care about his rankings... I just want to see and preview the course. Share details about the practice facilities, clubhouse, etc. What is the condition of the course, whats the price of a round. Any nuances with scheduling tee times, etc etc. That's what I would want to know as it would help my decision in booking a round if I was traveling through that area.
The Green Mile and the invisible bunkering is very "Augusta". Alister MacKenzie designed some great courses including Augusta, Cypress Point, and Pasatiempo. His signature bunkering design was to resemble how trenches were in World War I. Allies needed to be able to see the trenches going in one direction, but they needed to not be seen by the enemy in the other direction. Just like the Green Mile. Pretty cool stuff
Whats the price per year for membership
Looks like such an amazing place and experience. Look forward to seeing more course reviews. My one piece of feedback is for the category “difficulty”, it doesn’t seem to fit with the other ratings. I think it would make more sense to be how appropriate the difficulty is, opposed to 1 being the least difficult and 10 being the most difficult. An over the top difficult course would get a 10 rating, boosting up the overall course rating, which doesn’t seem right. Hopefully that makes sense. Keep up the good work!
Great shout I totally agree - a 10 on the current scale for difficulty would push the overall score of a course up which would be considered a positive but it maybe border line unplayable which doesn't seen right. For me a big part of the enjoyment of a game of golf is walking off thinking I coulda/shoulda been 5 shots better ...that's why i keep coming back ... if a course is too hard not sure I would want to go back there.
I love the series and being from across the pond it's great to see these places which I doubt I'll ever get a chance to play in person.
Totally agree! Grant... not a fan of the difficulty rating... it means the tougher the course, the better the score. Does that mean you want to play thick rough, and ridiculous holes? I would think an unrealistically tough course, or a too easy course would be low rated? I don't know if something like SCOREABILITY, or something that takes different tees into account, like PLAYABILITY range into account would be better? Hard to say, but difficulty is the toughest criteria at the moment. Great stuff though! Keep it up! I enjoy the series. I may suggest more top-tier public courses for the audience.
Absolutely love this series. Great content, great videography, and great editing coming from this channel. Excited to see more of these in depth reviews from some epic courses.
Incredible video Grant, I really enjoy this type of content. I literally can't get enough of watching these type of A+ level courses, great golf and just a great enjoyable time.
Love this series. You're the perfect one to be doing it because of how excited you get about the details of things. Feels like we're getting the full experience with you! If you come to Utah do Glenwilds course!
Utahn golfer here! I'd love to see something down in St. George like The Ledges or maybe something along the Wasatch Front like Thanksgiving Point or maybe Oakridge C.C.
@@drewsmith4452 Each course you mentioned is super accessible... why not continue with another exclusive course like Glenwild since it's the #1 course and hard to go play?
Great meeting you that day! Was so fun getting to watch you play! Keep up the great work!🙌🏻
I grew up in College Station and used to golf at a place called Bluebonnet Country Golf Course right around the corner from there before it closed down. Always loved that area!!!!
I love this Grant! Good vibes all over the video, and I mean it from the bottom of my bad swing - this format suits you with playing golf and sharing your experiences with courses :) Keep it up! Shout out to the team that documents all this!
Would love to see more public courses!
As a counterpoint to some of the comments below, I do feel it is good to feature a mix of public and exclusive courses. Some of these places I never would have heard of if not for series like this, and now I feature them in some of the tournaments and videos I play on my simulator. Course discovery can be very exciting and entertaining! Thanks Grant!
I dont need him describing views to courses Ill never visit. Just SHOW THE DAM COURSE!
Wow that focus from 26:41 on the flag to you driving was CLEAN. Love these videos Grant!
The ending with you rating the course by the fire is such a vibe! I feel like that needs to happen at the end of every video! Awesome job
Grant you need to put your series videos into playlists so we can just binge on a certain type of your videos 😁🤞🏾 outside of that.... Amazing golf in the video, you leave nothing out there all the time
I would hope a review of a private course would be really good. I would love to see you travel the country playing upscale public courses. I am in Michigan and i can point you in the right direction for sure. Great content as usual. Enjoy.
Couldn’t agree more. I made a similar comment. I won’t even watch these. I’ll never be able to play here so why would I care ? I really great Michigan public course I would watch because I go to Michigan 3 times per year for work so I would actually try to go.
@@benc2947 I was thinking the same thing. The initiation fee for this course is around $100,000 plus annual dues lol. I would love to see some courses that are worth taking a golf trip to that aren't always talked about. (Still a great video and beauitful course so congrats on getting to play it Grant)
I’m In Michigan as well! I just started getting serious about golf a few years ago so I haven’t done a lot of traveling around Michigan yet, but I am hopping that eventually I’ll have a change to travel and play some nice courses!
He seems like a good guy, but these courses aren’t relatable to average person.
I go to Manistee once a year on a golf trip. Absolutely love it there. Very peaceful
I gotta say, the fact this was shot before the announcement answers the question I had about your clubs but this format works well. It’s enjoyable seeing this tier course. Conversely, it would be equally enjoyable watching you play something more feasible for the masses. That said, we’ll done and thank you!
Bro... this content is the 💣!!! It's set up perfectly and the production of it makes me feel like i am there with you!! Can't wait for the next vid!!!! Great job!!!
It’s awesome you’re getting to play these courses, but honestly I hope this series focuses more on courses the rest of us ever have a chance of playing.
I also hope you think really carefully about the ‘value’ category.
Can a $300,000 course EVER be good value?
Thought the same about the category. Really enjoyed the video, but the high value rating doesn't seem to fit. The people looking for value aren't going to play this course, and the people that can play this course don't care about value. The course isn't going for value. Maybe drop the category and instead just add it on as a bonus if the course happens to be inexpensive.
Think he just means if you're going to spend a stupid amount on a golf course membership this one offers great service. There are other stupidly priced golf memberships but maybe those don't offer the same services.
300k it should be 10/10 on all categories lol your paying out the azz
Nope
Grant omg, the quality of the video production is absolutely top notch. You're easily leading the field in presenting a full product in terms of combining clean crisp audio, incredibly high quality video resolution, great coordination with the drone shots/handhelds/cart cams, and a beautiful golf swing/game. Keep crushing it man, you're such an great role model for so many golf fans and can't thank you enough for what you do.
Thanks DJ!
Grant this video is outstanding and covered BlueJack National so well. That is a place that is definitely on my list now. Love this so much I’ve watched this video 4 times. Design out there looks unreal. Keep up the great channel!
Love the relaxed presentation of Grant's excitement.
Grant’s content is just on another level right now!
This content is so cool, keep going 🔥
Grant, as a complete lawn nerd, "mown" is a word and you used it correctly! Loved this video, that course looks amazing!
Watching this compared to your matches with your new Taylormade clubs I can really tell that they’re taking you to another level. Super cool to see.
He filmed this before Taylormade announcement. He's using old clubs. Lol
I feel like Grant has found his niche in terms of content. He loves to play traditional, 18 hole, stroke play golf. Good Good is a lot more focused on shorter form competitions. Both great, just not made for each other. Loving this content from Grant, keep it up bro!
The thing about value is how much more it is than a golf course. The entire resort feel of the place is unmatched with all the amenities it offers. As for location, new roads have been built, so it is now a 2 turn and 40 minute drive from Houston. Great video. I love seeing appreciation for one of my favorite places.
This is an amazing looking course, and I have to say the hospitality is out of sight. I would absolutely love to play this course some time. Tiger did it right for sure.
Another great video Grant, and it was good to see you play some good golf on a tough track.
the video was awesome, and filmed really well.
Would like to see a course review from some extremely cheap muni! That would be interesting and fun 😂
grant would walk off.
I’m glad the course reviews are back
I remember Garret taking you down there. Good to see you made it back. 👍👴🏌🏾♂️⛳🇺🇸🦅
Except Grant brought him haha
Dang I love this stuff. YT Golf is just off the charts at this point. 🔥❤👍👊
Thanks Matty
Matty I literally see you everywhere I go, lol
@@benpyeatt9986 I'm a golf nut, Ben - ngl 😉
@@GrantHorvatGolfs Grant, you guys are creating a whole new industry right in front of our eyes. And, it really IS growing the game. BTW, really appreciate your support of BustaJack, who are near and dear to my heart 🔥- Rock on!
Their is nothing more inspiring than seeing the passion you have for golf Grant. You have short bermuda grass running through your veins
Lol it’s Texas! Hospitality is what we do. I’m shocked you didn’t get a “bless your heart” for ordering a chicken sandwich. And then you insult them by saying seasoning makes the Smokey taste,,,, it probably because it was smoked! Such a yankee 😂
Great video and course! You are the coolest Grant, and thanks for taking us along!
Grant, you have done a great job presenting golf as a process. Thanks for the content
This course review content is awesome! Would love to see a lot more of this
I have been waiting for this episode 2 for so long! Love it Grant. Keep them coming 😊
Sublime conditions, golf, course and cinematography Grant. Awesome. 🇬🇧
Wow ! Looks like heaven on earth that place , probably never be lucky enough to go but was amazing to see and well played Grant , more courses soon please .
First watch since the exit of GG..actually fricken love this series!! You found it bro, your course, so to speak.. your love for the game, all aspects, is going to blow this channel up. Truly believe this, Way to go GVat 👊🏼
Grant, please make more of these hour long videos, i enjoyed watching this. Congrats on everything from your friend in South Africa 🇿🇦.
my fav golf youtube series! content has been on a different level bro.
Idk if the editor did it on purpose but the way the drive and the tee bounce matches the beat of the music at 37:50 is amazing.
Never lose the focus on playing good golf, that's my favourite part of yours and Tig's channels 🤙
Love your vlog style in these videos brotha! great as always!
yes, love this series, glad it wasn't given up on man.
Love the long version as well and not a cut-down 25 min teaser (i hate those). These are the best man, good stuff.
Love the course review and grading. would love to see you do this periodically.
Working with troubled youth via golf, let me just say that Grant is more than a content creator to the young guys and girls. He's an amazing guy for these kids to strive to be like. I was once headed to a short and unhappy life and a man taught me golf and it changed me. Since stating this with these kids I have lost many but saved a few and the ones that are here actually turned me on to Grant and Micha Morris, I'm not so much a GG fan, but I don't dislike them it's just not my thing. I want to thank you and give you an invitation if you're ever in Alabama to a round of golf on me.
Love this series. Also love that you are playing a course that's about 30min from where I live. It is beautiful
by far my favorite golfer out of the Good Good crew....was upset to see you leave, but I will be a faithful subscriber for any golf channels you're on homey!
Loving the videos Grant, Congrats on all your success
These are awesome. some of my favourite kinda golf videos.
Loving these reviews, so much fun.
It’s both surprising and not surprising at all to see an awesome course like this in my stomping grounds. Great video.
Great Vid Grant 10/10 quality only keeps on getting better cant wait for what you have in store
Love love your content!!! Keep the good videos coming man!
I love the idea of this series! Awesome content as always. I think I'd prefer that you saved your thoughts of the different categories and compiled them into sections so that way when you're playing golf, I can just watch you playing golf.
Love the channel and the joggers. Learning a lot watching you.
the southern greeting when entering the course is a nice touch
These are the best golf videos on RUclips. Great stuff, Grant!
This is a freaking great idea and new take on golf content! Love it big dawg
Love that your not playing from the tips makes ur game better and more fun to watch
Great series. Really enjoying the content!
This was a great video and an amazing course been from the UK I’d love to play some of these US courses they are sensational. Can’t wait for more of these Grant
Great video. Shout out to your film crew/editing crew the footage and transitions where great.
This content is amazing Grant! Would love to see you meet up with BustaJack during their Golfing Ole Glory series. Keep it up dude 👌🏾
I just love watching you game bro! Swing Goals!
I love this series so much, keep it up grant
Played this course on the Fullswing sim last night and had a blast! Super fun course on the sim too.
This man’s excitement for this course, pours off the screen lol love it
That was the most "Grant" 18th hole I've ever seen! Just brutal! Great round and I love the course review videos!
Love this series! Keep it up, I like the ranking system
I would LOVE to see a Pursell Farms review. I live almost 3 hours from there but have made the drive twice since you guys (good good) have golfed there and made it seem so amazing. I remember TP5’s on the range and it had an awesome everything you needed practice facility, great hospitality, amazing course, amazing designs, and I’d really love to see your score!
Lookin forward to seeing you with that new putter
Great series. Was waiting for this vid
When COVID hit in 2020 I went down to a friend of mines house at Bluejack and did nothing but play golf, eat, and drink for a month straight. The place is unbelievable, there is always something going on and the community they have developed is so cool, the vibes are amazing.
Brilliant video Grant keep up the good work.
This series is the total business. More please.
My favourite content from you mate, keep it up 🙌🏽
Video and editing on this is top notch! Well done!
The Patented Grant Horvat Lipout to end the round. Such an effortless swing. So fun to watch.
One of the best courses I’ve played! Everything is first class!
Great swing on 10 Grant. Watch that back if you can, you knew the result by the sound and balance.
Love these videos Grant keep them coming
Great video Grant, really enjoy watching you play. The review portion was a little long, I didn't make it through the whole video. Amazing course and great round!
I like the concept and look forward to seeing what's to come. I do have one suiggestion and it involves scoring. Instead of trying to resist giving coarses maximum scores in each category, so you don't "run out of room" at the top end of the overall scale, consider using normalized results. This would result in the best coarse to date always having a score of 100, and each time a new rating is added all scores would be rescaled as appropriate. Anyway, just an idea that may make things easier.
Great content Grant, keep it up!
You’re getting so good at this man!
I have realy enjoyed you recent content. If you get the chance, I would really enjoy your review of Payne's Valley in Branson, MO. Played it last year and thought it was amazing and already have a second trip scheduled for later in 2023. Probably the most expensive course I can afford to play but how do you put a dollar amount on life long memories. I have to make a special trip out of it to do it once a year with a special group of friends, but in my mind that makes it even more special. I would also enjoy seeing your attempt of Ko'olau golf course in Kaneohe, HI. It made me want to quit golf altogether. Keep up the great content.
Years ago my wife and I went to Phoenix a few weeks before The Phoenix open. We just flew into town so we just wanted to hit some balls. We were treated pretty much like Grant was here. Put our clubs on a cart as the driving range was about a quarter mile from the clubhouse. The grass was unbelievable. The grass on the range was like a putting surface, crazy short. All in all it was a super up close look at what the pros play on.
these videos are awesome grant, keep them coming! like a bit of Rick’s “breaking 75” mixed with Mr. ShortGames’ “What does an $XX club look like??” - so good. categories to consider = locker rooms/clubhouses and carts
The lady who works the front gate is such an angel. Just played here and it’s definitely up there with some of the best hospitality and amenities and a very approachable well kept golf course. Try to get out at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity. Best course I’ve played in my life.
Break 70, pretty bold. Looking forward to this.
Great video! Enjoyed this one alot
Great video! One rating I'd approach differently is 'Difficulty', I'd say a golf course that offers a range of difficulties should score highly. So it has something to offer high handicappers and low handicappers alike. So for example if playing off the front or middle tees at Bluejack brings the difficulty right down, but playing off the Tiger Tees makes it exceptionally hard, then it should score highly, as it has something to offer everyone.
