- Hi and welcome to the channel and my review of the Kawasaki Versys 1000, i got this bike on loan from Preston motorcycles and i wasnt overly impressed with the bike but watch the vid and see what i make of it also if your in the market for a new or used Kawasaki Preston motorcycles are awesome to deal with and will help you every step of the way and answer every and any questions you may have. You just said it's not got the electronic suspension, that's what you prefer, .but at the beginning you said you had it set on rider with luggage. That's the electronic suspension model lol😂. I'd have stopped and tightened the mirror up, only take 30 seconds.
I've got one of these and I love it. 45 mins straight of a much more expensive bike is hardly a unbiased review. If you are going to review a bike properly you need it for weeks not 45 mins. Usless video.
sorry mate i review bikes based on first impressions and this is MY opinion as clearly stated in the video. I found it to be bland and boring compared to other bikes in this category that I've tested. feel free to do your own review if needed!
Great job on the vid but the Suzuki gsx 1000 gt is an amazing price and performance compared to the Kawasaki i think you will enjoy that bike by far better
I've already done a review of the GX and its by far the best bike I've ridden in the past year id say apart from the front brakes being a bit vague but i didnt use them much 😂
Sport mode might have made it feel less of a plodder. Build quality generally looks good, although the mirror/lever/quickshifter issues are disappointing. Definitely doesn't have the garage appeal of an XR or GX 👍
yea i don't think it would of done much to be honest was just a very bland and boring bike to ride to be honest but ultimately expected better from Kawasaki
Was watching your video and I noticed you were in road mode and not sport I do do believe sport mode would give you better pick up speed
🤣 no amount of sport mode buttons would save this bike mate. they basically change throttle response and not overall power output but obviously this was a video from someone who is used to riding bike powerful bikes and i just thought this Kawasaki was very bland and boring and the build quality was sub par for the price tag.
It is a bit boring but it’s a true tourer, it doesn’t really do the same job as a GX or XR and doesn’t have the same clientele. I still think if you don’t really want power and thrills the 650 is a way better deal and does more or less the same job, it arguably even handles better.

It looks too big and clumsy for me the Suzuki hands down no comparison
i will say frank that the handling at slow speed was pretty good surprisingly but ultimately it was just a boring bike, i was really disappointed in it and expected more from Kawasaki

Looks like a toy comparied to an XR
feels much bigger under you than an xr but at least the xr was fun to ride.
