Glad you put "Fourteen" into the mix. I LOVE the look of their clubs, and I happened to luck into a set of their wedges when I bought some old Ping ISI-K's from a guy on Craigslist. The irons were black dot, 3-SW, nickel with Ping graphite shafts AND he included 3 Fourteen wedges for $80! At the time, gas prices spiked significantly and I had to drive out to get the clubs from him so he knocked off $20. $60 out the door! When I got them home i gave everything a thorough cleaning and OH MY DAYS!!! I had to regroove the wedges a little bit, but they are way too spangly to play with!
Itobori's are gorgeous, too, but the "Kyoei"sequence at the end?? 😂😂😂

Peter, you have to look at and try Yururi. The Geku wedges and flatback blades to be specific. Also, Epon is more or less a club brand that has been the main competitor of Miura for Years. Nike tried them out back in the day, TM tried them out as well for some of their tour players but were found to be a bit less solid in feel compared to Miura. Second, take a dive into the shaft world in Japan, then the world of the bags. Both offer things that we couldn't even dream off here in Europe (US has some better offerings nowadays as well). Talking from the pov of someone who spend a lot of time fitting and grinding some of these raw heads about 15 years ago.

Honma feels smooth, and well balanced in hand. Surprisingly they were not pricey. Was a demo set in a pro shop, $549 for 5i - 11i. Yeah the PW is a 10 iron, gap wedge is an 11 iron. I've actually started building up sets of 10-15yo Japanese forged irons. Some blades, but mostly cavity backs. Find them on ebay heads-only, they ship from Japan in a matter of days. I've built up Srixons, Mizunos, Yamahas, Bridgestones, PRGR, Royal Collection, some JDM Taylormades, etc. Once I got my first taste of forged irons, I can't go back to cast heads. And most of these sets cost me under $150, sometimes under $100 for 5-PW heads.

I started playing golf this year so I’m not very good, but I am obsessed with golf equipment. I certainly fall into the ‘all the gear, no idea category’ but for me it’s half the fun of being immersed in this great game. I am on my 2nd set of irons in 6 months and after having gamed PXG 0211s, I have just purchased a set of Japanese Domestic Market only irons from Mizuno. Not hit them yet, but looking forward to doing so when the weather improves.
I also use an Ogio bag and had seen them in the background of your recent videos. I was therefore not surprised to receive an email from Ogio stating that you were their new ambassador. Have I missed something on your channel from your side announcing the partnership?

I have tried Epon and the feeling is incredibly soft. Really feels like cutting through butter.

Those Itobori ones look sick! I’ve got a 25 year old set of Yonex tour forged irons with boron shafts. Beautiful clubs and they fly when you catch the sweet spot!

I worked at a high end private golf and CC in Canada, and we sold/fitted XXIO in our pro shop on the regular. Members love them. We also had a member who had a 3 star Honma set, director and owner of some Chinese media company

Hi Pete. I have the Fourteen Golf RM 4 Wedges in 50, 54 and 58. If you get a chance try them out some time, they are fantastic. Previously used SM 7's but love these ones.

I was lucky enough to live in Japan for the last three years. Fuji Classic is an absolute must play course right on the base of Mt Fuji.

Purchased a set of fourteen tb-7s (most forgiving blade I've ever hit) & a set of Kyoei duel weight II irons.. both sets are literally pieces of art & have incredible performance & feel..I also purchased a Baldo corsa 3 wood & Geotech driver.. I'm in golf club paradise right now.. why more people don't play these is beyond me..If you really start digging into the Japanese market, you'll find that the innovate & make clubs and driver components for the major oems
