This is the new E-Flite Twin Timber 1.6m dual motor RC airplane. Honestly, this isn't just another timber plane, and we are surprised they even named this RC plane Timber. In this video we talk about the good and the bad of the dual motor RC airplane.

That's so awesome
Still waiting for the honest review, when’s that coming out?
Just be yourselves Saylors!! You used to just get the plane in the air and see what it can do... crazy stuff that was fun to watch. Now it seems like you're trying too hard to "perform" for RUclips and it's affecting Nate's confidence to learn/try stuff out of his comfort zone. Now THAT'S fun to watch!! Thanks Abby for the color commentary!! 💟👍😘
True 👍❤️✌️
The whole time I'm yelling "Use Flaps!!" 😅
you guys are awesome i love rc airplanes i just bought the carbon cub s2 after watching your videos i love yall so much keep up the great work
You went from " I can't fly inverted with flaps" to " maybe I should try," to doing it, in 30 seconds. You are a good pilot, Nate !!
"We don't wanna stall, right?"
Yes, yes, we do. A stall a few inches above the ground is just what you want when your landing. When on final your controls change place. Your elevator control your speed, your throttle control altitude, rudder controls direction and aileron just keep wings level if rudder input doesn't.
Exactly what she said! Hey Nate, why not try flaps to slow you down on landing approach?
Still waiting for the honest review, when’s that coming out?
Don't worry about the aerobatics - if that had been our passion, we would have watched reviews of very different aircraft. The Twin Timber*s strong side is one that reviewers tend to miss: With a prop free nose and a large battery compartment, it's the sturdy STOL FPV platform we have been missing for years. It's acrobatic capability is about as relevant to us as the drifting characteristics of a camper van. Your demonstrations provide all the info we need!
She said "Chill out" lol funny stuff. Always fun to watch you both!!
Want to see you practice new maneuvers. Love watching you do new stuff.
NIIIIICE 👌🏻 Absolutely love it!!!!
Nice flight Nate 👍🏻✌🏻
I don't want to see you crash, but seeing you experience new things in real time, how you react to them and lessons learned in real-time are good for pilots like myself. You get a chance to see what the plane does instead of hearing or being told what you experienced so that if I see it while flying I will have a chance to react as well. Of course, always fly at your comfort level and keep putting out the great videos.
great comment
Pre-ordered one. I’m excited
Thanks for another great video. Looking forward to my Twimber maiden tomorrow morning. Landing tip, works for all my other tail draggers, expect the same for this one. Don't get to slow, keep a little power in it. Shallow aproach angle and fly it through the landing like a touch and go. BUT when the mains touch give it a little bit of down elevator to plant the mains and keep the tail flying. Don't break the stick off, just a little forward pressure as the mains touch. Be ready to dance on the rudder to keep 'em straight. When the ground speed drops, switch to normal full up elevator tail dragger taxi mode. Just don't drop below stall speed and harrier it in with 3/4 up ELE all the way to ground and expect it not to try to fly off the bounce. Keep the show going Nate & Abby!
First! This plane is awesome!!
i have been subed for about a year now and i love yall
thanks for the awesome vids
Very nice
Turbo Timber is my go-to airplane would love to pick up the twin but that's Mucho Dinero
Since you have differential thrust how about some upright and inverted to see how flat you can get the spins with battery positioning. that is when it gets more entertaining.
Well done Abby , I was screeming at the screen "flaps! Flaps! . . . . Great video
You are my favorite RC Channel and I was getting ready to purchase a transmitter and thankfully you showed the
Radiolink AT10II 12 Channels RC Transmitter so THANK YOU ! for saving me money plus having 12 channels instead of 8 or 10 with Spektrum. Coming from the U Control tournament days to RC and electric is what I have been waiting for so I did grab one of the war birds ( my favorite plane the F4U Corsair ) to get the feel of it before getting a larger plane so bring on Spring. Thanks Again !
Great flying Nate!! Eflite just needs to make a 1.5m Timber that lights up completely like the TimberX night. Maybe this would be a good candidate :)
Late squad today and Nate you are awesome 👏 at flying planes ✈️ 😊👍⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Is this better than the twin otter? Is it worth the $100 difference?
I had the original Timber for almost 3 years. It finally broke beyond repair a few weeks ago. I want to replace it asap. It was my favorite and most flown plane.
@Abby - Timeline 8:11 "Coming Too Hot! Chill Out!" You make me laugh & smile! Take it easy on your husband now. Please use that quote as a intro someday.
Your a good pilot . No worries. Get yourself some blue electric tape for your wing tips.
Now That’s a Great idea!! Thanks! 👍😁😎⚓️
Having fun is what its all about .keep up the good work hi from wva
What do you want is silicone fuel line slit down the middle
slide it on the wing tips edge then hold it on with blue electrical tape…. Home made bumper for wing tip strikes….
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got. Subscribed and watch all your post. Especially enjoyed Mark Radcliff flying your new Ultimate. I liked that he told you the maneuver he was going to do, then explained each element and ended with "maneuver complete". Practice with a purpose and keep those videos coming.
Awesome and looks great in the air too Nate and Abby awesome airplane ❤
Thanks for showing its capabilities.😉 I'm glad HH made it, but I'm not biting on this one.
I've flown one and have to say the TT Evo is "THE" plane to have in my book.
Have you ever tried flying off of water?? It’s a lot of fun and a great experience. It really got me back into rc bushplanes. I don’t watch the channel enough so if you have my mistake.
Nice plane. I finally bought a tx. I also figured out how to hover my arrows pioneer. Do it into wind. 12mph or so winds
You should do a Compare and contrast between this Twin Timber, and the Twin Otter.
You guys are awesome
You two are the best. Great day. Great flight. ( use flaps ) Great camera work.
Tell him Abby to grow a pair , we don't mind a little carnage once in a while. Keep up the good content. The show most go on !
also could you guys give me some good mid level rc airplane suggestions
Put the slats on it for better landing control?
I’m saving up for the habu sts 70mm edf I think it’s called after I saw it on your channel I fell in love with it but this one makes me doubt my decision because I like this one as well, my cheap plane failed me so I miss flying so can’t wait until I have one of the 2
Also I like seeing you learn new manoeuvres because seeing progress helps others people get confidence to also make progress
You need to practice more using the flaps when landing. I fly all of the Timber models and to me they are easier to land with flaps.
Send it. You guys are blessed with the opportunity to be a little careless with donated equipment. We can learn from your mistakes
Abby and Nate y'all rock! Love the channel and content! Peace
GOOD FLYIN Nate
Try using reflex flaps on a standard (upright) harrier.
Love it
Pretty please fly this one on floats! :)
Abby is right Nate, your mistakes helps me to learn what not to do, 😅
Haha, fair enough!! Thanks for watching 👍😁😎⚓️
If you can take a couple of minutes, what is the length of the landing gear springs tip-to-tip on the twin Timber?
Do what is most fun for you.
practice makes you better
list things to improve your pilot skills.
work on maneuvers
simulator
I'm thinking about getting this plane it looks awesome. But I've never drove an rc plane before just rc cars. Is it hard learning for the first time?
Hi i got a wot 4 and i just got my new radio for it and im going to fly it soon do you have any tips on how land the aircraft smoothly? And thanks for all your videos you do a great job!
My wingman and i have been looking to buy a twin prop, how are the turns in safe?
I flew it in SAFE on our maiden flight for a bit if you have time and want to check that out. But in my honest opinion, it flies a lot like a trainer. No need to give rudder input at all, but a little can help make the turns look more scale. Take offs are nice and smooth in SAFE. They definitely got it zeroed in on SAFE 👍😁😎⚓️
Hi RC sailers been top heavy would dubro inflatable 5inch tyres work they have a bit of weight to them and also soft for landing thanks Rick
What practical function could there be to having flaps that can be positioned with an upward angle?
In inverted flight one might think that positioning the flaps in an acute angle to the top of the wing would have a slow-flight effect for flying inverted; but what practical application is there for such a configuration?
At some point, during the transition, the flaps would neutralize the lift of the wing. After that point of travel, I would think that the flaps would reverse the lift-function of the wing.
Would this configuration be effective for pulling out of a near vertical dive, into inverted flight?
Another youtuber uses reflex flaps to make a standard harrier easier. I have yet to try it myself, but it seemed very effective.
Move that CG back a tad.
Exactly!! Where is your flaps!?
over all... I see "Good" ; )
Yes, I think so too!! 👍😁😎⚓️
I think I’m ready for my second airplane. Would this or the turbo timber be a good choice? I’ve been doing loops and low passes on my pusher glider for the past 6 months
You are absolutely ready for a second plane. I’d play it safe (no pun intended) and go with the Turbo Timber Evolution, between this and that airplane. This one is slightly harder to land, which doesn’t build confidence very well. I hope this helps! You’re definitely in for a good time 👍😁 And please consider ordering yours through our links. Thank you!! 😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors thank you guys so much. Really stoked on this hobby so far and your videos are always fun!
I just got my twin all put together and Bond is there supposed to be differential thrust with ailerons or just rudder?
D thrust is only mixed to rudder.
Where do you fly these planes there is a lot of space to fly and that’s what I need for my plane
Those inboard control surfaces: Going down, Flap. Going up, spoiler. It's not a flap for flying inverted. Try flipping them up and see the plane come down like a controlled rock.
Spoilers does just that, spoilt the airflow over the wing and make it lose lift.
Are you going to Top Gun?
Hey my friend I found this guy at a indoor flea market .
Ranger 400 rc plane do know anything about it. Is it a beginner plane?
It's a $80 beginner airplane and you can have some fun and learn with it. Get comfortable with it then get something bigger.
Its super odd with the super tiny little tail lol
Fly 3 mistakes high and you’re good to go
Abby flew & you kept it from us 😲😲😢😢😏😏. I also agree with Abby show the good 🙂 the bad 😈 & the ugly 🥸. Let's the non fliers & the new that even an experienced flier like you can make mistakes. That you learn as you go & that you keep learning, trial & error, if you fall off the horse just get back on. You learn from your mistakes- blah blah blah 🤭🤭🤭. Listen to the wife for that Happy Life.😄😄😄😁😁😁.⚓⚓👍💚💜👍🙂😈🥸😁🤭👍⚓.
I would be interested in seeing how it fits in your vehicle. Part of my decision making process is whether or not a plane will fit in my vehicle without disassembly.
Yeah Chill Out......he he
Gary didn't have much luck flying slow
Who is Gary?
The price is the killer for me.
What’s your current sweet spot for a new plane? I’ve also been shopping around for my next “every day flyer” and I’m thinking like $250 or maybe $300. What do you think? ⚓️
$150 be top inflation fjb. Food or hobby. Been doing fb marketplace for used planes.
@@justfly60482 That's umx TT range. Just as fun to fly IMO. Maybe not as impressive, but more fun due to accessibility of flying space required. I'm saving for the new 3s umx TT. It should do most of whqaat this one will, short of diff thrust. But there is a umx Otter with diff thrust, just like this one. That one is also a blast to fly, but definitely smaller than a TT.
Abby ouch happens in this hobby ;)
Turn that into a evtol
Unoriginal and boring color/design is definitely the most disappointing thing about this plane. It's too close to the original timber, and the white/blue I generally don't like in general as it's too hard to see in the sky. Color and graphics are what I like the least about my original timber that the red timber evolution is a big improvement on. Maybe we need a twin timber evolution. ;-)
Abby may be a better pilot than you ☺️☺️
Keep up the good work the guy across the river from.
😁😁👍👍
No offense, this is just my opinion but this is the most horizon hobby biassed channel on RUclips, I’ve had great experiences with some of there umx planes but the big ones to me are kinda crap
Joke,
Lil more than average. Lol
Sorry but can we see more of the planes and much much less of you You come across as WOODY WOODPECKER ON SPEED
Try this comment again, but with more childish attempts at being mean. This was pathetic. You can do better.
No way you walk around in the real world talking to people like that. Do better.
