    Thanka for the video. I found my childhood PS1s (i had two for aome reason 97 and 99 models) and they both need TLC. Both work though

    Great video, noticed you had some major rust staining the plastic, have you tried dissolving rust with Vinegar?

      I haven’t tried vinegar but it’s a good idea, thanks!

    I must have a different ps1 bc i tried opening up the memory card slot like you but it wasnt pushing open on the top do i put more pressure on it?

    • @TheBygoneEra
      @TheBygoneEra  3 года назад

      There were a few different types of ps1 so yeah it might be different. Just make sure there aren’t any other hidden clips. You shouldn’t have to apply too much pressure

    Great video! Can you repair a PlayStation 3/ps3? I would really like to see a video about that.

    Can I just sit the ps1 outside with the same solution? It should give off enough UV to work the same right?

    • @TheBygoneEra
      @TheBygoneEra  Год назад +1

      For sure! If you have consistent sunlight it’ll definitely work!

  • @michaelwillis698
    @michaelwillis698 5 месяцев назад

    Did you literally just paint the pieces with the cream peroxide? No developer required?

    • @TheBygoneEra
      @TheBygoneEra  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah pretty much! The UV acts as the developer

  • @mixmastermacaroni
    @mixmastermacaroni 5 месяцев назад

    What if you choose to do the liquid 3% hydrogen peroxide instead....

    • @TheBygoneEra
      @TheBygoneEra  5 месяцев назад

      It should work but it’s just not as strong so it would take longer to get results

  • @tomassukasparek1957
    @tomassukasparek1957 Год назад

    The thing I hate the most it leaves white marks on my ps1 after leaving it for a while on a direct sunlight... Its white but with peroxide maps 😬

      Yeah that can happen sometimes which is unfortunate ☹️

    • @TheBygoneEra
      @TheBygoneEra  2 месяца назад

      Some people have said that bleach worked for them, so maybe that could be another idea?

    How do you treat the rust ?

    • @Celestial-.-
      @Celestial-.- 3 года назад

      I have a gamecube with pretty bad rust I've sanded most off what should I use to treat it / stop it rusting in future ?

    • @TheBygoneEra
      @TheBygoneEra  3 года назад +1

      You can buy rust prevention/rust stop products from hardware and automotive shops. The best way to stop it rusting in the future is to keep it out of wet and humid environments
