- What if Goku's Kaioken x4 Kamehameha killed Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga of Dragon Ball Z?

After the 23rd World Tournament, Goku begins to spare his enemies in a way he never had before. Seemingly a mix of selfish desires and seeing the good in others. One of the crucial characters to be saved by Goku’soutlook is Vegeta, but what happens if he doesn’t spare Vegeta specifically. More than that, what if Goku killed Vegeta himself, not just telling Krillin to do it?
Some may be thinking he couldn’t do this, but there’s one specific moment it could have happened. When the iconic Kamehameha-Galick Gun clash happens, Goku uses a Kaioken x 4, making his power level 32,000 compared to Vegeta’s meager 18,000. A bit of extra force and the motivation to kill Vegeta would be more than enough to take out Vegeta in one attack.
So the day is won. Goku stands triumphant, but also in pain due to overusing the Kaioken; however, more importantly than anything - Goku hasn’t been crushed so his recovery time is far less. Of course, Krillin still suggests they go to Namek in order to revive their friends so how will a Namek without Vegeta change events?

I've enjoyed every single one of your videos so far.. my question is since Gohan is clearly the strongest wouldn't he potentially keep training instead of studying and have a new form by the time frieza showed up, and would frieza actually have trained for 4 months still?
@@mikeakers7107 Gohan never liked to fight. He only fought out of necessity. His dream was to be a scholar. It never had anything to do with his potential or power.

Probably, coz Goten learned super Saiyan at 6 and without training with Goku and didn't even get his potential unlocked, not even once. But that's besides the point friend. Gohan doesn't even want to fight. So why would he train when the world is at peace, just like when we saw in DBS. I'm not saying he couldn't have become the strongest, he very much can, but he just doesn't have the desire or drive.

I’d argue that Goku would find a way to train with Beerus and attain God power without the ritual, seeing as Vegeta was able to. That’s just my own opinion though, and I loved your story
But still Goku probably wouldn't think about it soon and he never had a feeling with god ki so lets say he started training the same time as he did originally then he probably wouldn't have ssjb and even if he did it would be super draining probably more then frieza's golden form
Vegeta only got it through training because he had seen and felt goku's transformation.
@@bulellaftiu3012 I'd argue cause vegetal had never really observed good ki. He was not able to feel it so really all vegetal saw was goku’s hair turn to a different color.
Vegeta participated in the ritual, so he likely had inherited the ki required to unlock super saiyan god through it
And also I think your forgetting that you need six sayians for super Salian god and if vegetas dead then your missing a sayian

The biggest problem I have with "what if's" is a lot of Dragon Ball's plot devices are designed to match their current situation. Goku needed 5 Saiyan's specifically because there were 4 available and was used to introduce Videl being pregnant. The Dragon balls often have limits and are imposed for the story they are telling. When the story changes, so do the rules and it's hand waved as them being recreated. 1 wish, 2 wishes, 3 wishes. What ever number doesn't break the story. It doesn't matter how much you change Goku or how strong you make him, the villain will always be magically stronger than Goku, but Goku will have a new level to obtain so he can win.
I think treating these obviously improvised plot elements as if they were serious constants is a big part of the fun of these, imo. Seeing how they interact with other factors and the consequences they have in situations far removed from their original intent is quite fascinating.
Plague of Gripes perfectly exemplifies everything wrong with all of the fights essentially being the same with new paint in his "power level" video.

I know you did a what if on Gohan training over the 7 years but would a video on him training between the time he left Namek and the 3 year time skip make that significant of a difference in the story?

Well i'd say supreme kai would still offer gohan to train and get the z sword out, getting elder kai out once goku would come to see gohans training progress with the z sword, thus making him ultimate, then beerus comes and if you really want continue this for fun, they could scout the otherworld for the saiyans of old that made yamoshi ssjgod, so they return for a die hel goku out, beerus gets satisfied and on resurrection of F, gohan would hold frieza off for a bit, goku comes back (Since there's no vegeta here, goku is a lot weaker) and well he doesn't stand a chance, but i think he has ssjblue, but he unlocked it like the same day, so its a brand new form can't use it for long, so i think goku just gets potara earrings since they don't know about fusion dance and defeats frieza as gokhan, they would turn in to an ultimate god form combining the two or just ssjblue (Blue works aswell since the fusion would have an easier time handling the form thats what i think). The rest you could imagine urself and btw i think on goku black arc future gohan would have ssj3 and they still manage to defeat goku black and zamasu with gohan unlocking ssj rage (same as future trunks in main timeline). T.O.P would happen aswell... less chances of winning i think, but possible.

Honestly feel that Goku would consult the Dragon Balls, and a more astute/focused Gohan would as well if not him.
And even then Beerus would ask Whis what other Saiyans are in the Universe if any, therefore finding Tarble or Broly, both candidates for that final Saiyan for the ritual as they are pure of heart.
And even then, I feel the think-tank that is Whis and Gohan would probably come to the idea that a Saiyan training under a God would also create a Super Saiyan God of some form.
What about Broly, or Vegeta’s brother for the super sayin god.

Tarble and Broly MAY have righteous hearts but Paragus definitely doesn’t and there’s no Videl in this story because Mr Satan didn’t defeat Cell so no Satan City or anything so they’re still one short.
@@CarthusDojo also tarble and Broly arrives way later in the story so not possible that way either even with 'any' woman that ends up with Gohan. Unless Goku becomes a bunny and they start dropping kids left and right

Stopped at the part with perfect cell coming to the lookout. Everyone in this storied arc is so much stronger then during original time lime its dumb to think they would be scared of any version of cell.
Except that goku diddnt train in the chamber in this version,He is NOT strong enough to beat perfect cell without the mastered super Saiyan.
I don’t think the story had to end here. After finding out they where short on saiyans for the ritual they could’ve just asked to bring any other pure hearted saiyans if they exist to earth. Then Broly and Tarble could’ve filled in for Trunks and Vegeta after having the situation explained to them. They where desperate and Beerus was gonna destroy the Earth so I feel like they would’ve done something like this.

Namek is close to return there. Surely other worlds are also if they need a 'halfway' point to Earth. Also King Kai would be happy to point them in the right direction.

They have to tie their teleportation to someone they can sense. Your exact question can be applied to Goku in the actual canon. Why didn't Goku just instant transmission back to earth instead of taking a space pod?

Beerus gets curious with goku and gohan and decides to train both if gohan is willing. Ssjg is unlocked the way vegeta did it and blue is then discovered. I personally hope for a potential continuation to this series as it's kinda weird that vegeta isnt here but welcome nonetheless
With how hypercomptent you make the protagonists in these what ifs, you'd think you could make the bad guys less stupid with generically suiciding to protagonists 10x more powerful than they are. Would the Ginyu Force really just suicidally attack into the man who killed Frieza? One of Guldo's primary character traits is being cowardly.

This is cool but I just wanted to point out, Goku was able to reach a power level of 90,000 (11x boost) just by himself, and with training partners, he would've also gotten zenkais.
Goku should've had far higher power and so should've Gohan. nevertheless, great story!

Right, but then you're using meta logic instead of taking the story down its natural course. Pretty much any what if can end with "and then they called Broly and he beat everyone to death" but that's not taking the story where it logically should go.

I have a request but it may take a very long time to make “what if all of the dbz movies were canon”. Leave out the crossover episodes and specials and db movies aswell
NooooooO! Continue the story with them gaining ssj4!!!! Maybe they ask the dragon what is the best super saiyan form to get and the dragon describes the process of going super saiyan 4.
I enjoyed this one quite a bit, however concerning the ending I think it is possible to complete the ritual for the Super Sayin god. Specifically Tarble and Broly, both were made canon by Dragonball Super and both have pure hearts. When the gang finds out that the ritual needs 5 Sayins Whis could be asked if any other Sayins exist, if not by the Z warriors then by Beerus who longs for his fated rival. With multiple members having instant transmission they could grab them and bring them to earth relatively easily.
If you didn't want to include Tarble you could instead work a Paragus redemption arc in, utilizing the fact that Goku is the one that killed Vegeta in this timeline, and the fact that Goku and his family are living proof that not all other Sayins are evil. Just a thought if you wanted to follow through the Super storyline with this What if in the future.
It could happened by replacing the two seyinas Short by brolly and Paraguse by saying that goku is the one who killed prince vegeta

More specifically not killing Shin but snapping and going ss3 against Vegeta. Mocking him and his pride. “The prince of all Saiyans, then you must be the strongest.” “Let me show you true strength” Powering up to ss3 and proceeding to become in mind a full blooded Saiyan
Well they code use vegita's brother for SSG, or Futer Gohan.
Please can you continue you can make it so they ask shenron how to make a ssg they find out you need 5 rightus sayans or you need to train with a god ki holder (whis) and goku trains with whis making him get ssgss and chi chi hearing the death of her future self (because of future gohan) allows goku to train 24/7 making him get blue evolution or blue kaioken X20 so he is strong enough to kill golden freaza. Also gohan (not wanting his friends dead) spars with goku on earth and gets god ki.

My only real issue is the idea that Goku would accept Guru's potential unlock himself. Guy's been raised around the idea of training to get results rather than a free 'get out of jail' free card. This is mostly seen with his dissatisfaction of how he gets the Super Saiyan God form in Battle of Gods.
I think Goku could have killed Vegeta if he skipped kaioken times 4 and went straight to use kaioken times 5 during the beam clash at the cost of him being injured later on but still in better shape than what he was after fighint Oozaru Vegeta
It's good that you did end it while it was good because the end you mentioned would've been a bad ending... and then it would've gotten worse.
Check this:
1. Golden Frieza would've been revived and the proceed to kill everyone since no SSGSS
2. The Tournament of Power doesn't happen
3. Xeno finds no reason or entertainment to keep the lower universes so he wipes them all out
Frieza gets his revenge and then shortly after roughly 11 universes get wiped out. Seems like Vegeta's role is MVP. If only they made a remake to the series and kept Raditz as well and reintroduced Launch in DBZ.

Thing is Vegeta beat Goku in that fight decisively, but through ultra extreme plot armor Goku survived.
if goku didn't show any mercy to vegeta, there's no way he would show mercy to Frieza but I understand that the story requires that goku reaches SSJ and learns instant transmision.
that being said. a merciless goku would had made sure Frieza died so neither Frieza nor king cold would go to earth so Cell wouldn't had their DNA.
