Absolutely love this. Spent a while last night trying to plan how to use a pure oil node with overclocked extractor to get power using these recipes, but the difference between numbers of refineries for Heavy Oil Residue and refineries for Packaged Fuel was making my brain hurt. Love the idea of just underclocking the HOR refineries to match the PF refineries. Adds extra refineries, but seems so much simpler than trying to load balance and wasn't something I was thinking about.
So, thank you very much for putting this video out, it has really helped me in figuring out how to make my fuel power plant. I've only started playing about a month and a half ago, so im still in the process of learning all of this.

I’m happy it was useful! Good luck! I hope you are enjoying that first playthrough. There’s a lot to learn but nothing quite like it.

I always just wait until Blenders become available and then do Blended Fuel.
I don't understand the attraction of Diluted Packaged Fuel.
Not sure why so many players....

Thank you for explaining this. I still probably won't ever do a Packaged Fuel build, but the bit about controlling liquid flow by belting instead of pipes really speaks to my 1.0 Dedicated Server Bugs frustration.

I definitely understand waiting for Blenders. They do make the process a bit nicer. I haven't tried a dedicated server with 1.0 yet, sad to hear there are still bugs. Hopefully the servers continue to get more love.

For your vertical pipe splitters they snap to a wall, instead of trying to center it off another splitter just drop a wall and nudge into whatever position you need. this really helps if you need the splitter up in the air.

That’s a great tip, thank you! I tend to forget the junctions snap to walls and ceilings. That is really handy!

    Just frickin WOW!
I will see your symmetry, sir, and raise you with perfectionism!!!
    Masterful work there!
But, the question remains, does you pipe balancer work as expected or are there flaws?!?!
Yea, I'm going to 'try' and steal this!!!!

Thank you so much! The pipes are actually still working just fine! Woohoo!
I really like this system, it’s very flexible with how you lay it all out. Good luck!

Amazing Build Video and great explanation. I unlocked the Recipe for the Packaged Diluted Fuel as well and I was like "ugh this looks too complicated". So I spent one evening building a small 300m3 turbofiel setup with 40 Generators that only produce 10.000MW from 540 Crude Oil :( Feeling stupid now.

I know that feeling! I had the exact same reaction to it in my first playthrough. I never used it once. I did horrible power setups till I had blenders and then did diluted fuel. Now I use the packaged diluted fuel every playthrough haha
Thank you for the kind words, good luck!

wait turbofuel is less effective? God damn it... looking at alt recipes and thinking wait I can build a blender easily somehow "Turbo Blend Fuel"... hmmm wait is it even worth the hassle. Mathing time. :)

Mathing time is always the answer :) The Turbo Blend Fuel should be very efficient however it does require you to use the Diluted Fuel or Diluted Packaged Fuel to get the most bang for your buck with crude oil.

I don't think you need to go that weird with tubes, pretty sure you can do splits between the sets.

You are absolutely correct! I've done a similar setup without doing the lifted section and it worked just fine. I thought it looked cool so I was curious to see if it worked just as well

    The things the community will do to not use pumps and other stuff like that shows how flawed the liquid system is and that it should be changed, seriously, the bug where you couldnt use a full 600 pipe was supposedly fixed for 1.0 but you STILL cant use a full 600 pipe because of slooshing and other things, its just a bad system, but sadly, that's the kind of thing you change before a 1.0 release so we are stuck with this forever now ;-;

Hey I wanted that cool shot with the waterfall in it! Lmao it was a close call.
I totally agree with you. I was really hoping that we could use the full 600/min after 1.0. I’ve gotten used to it by now but it feels wrong. We probably are stuck with it now :(
