I am so happy for you both!!! What a Great way to start a New Year and New Adventures! I can't wait to see what you'll do next... Blessings to you both.
BIG BLUE BUS! How about naming it "Seamus"? Seamus is a distinctly Irish name that complements the blue Peugeot campervan's heritage and personality. Plus, it pairs well with "Ferguson," giving the two vehicles a charming, sibling-like connection.
I agree a walk through is a must, but I must say if I was doing mine again I would have cut a “doorway” out of the bulk head. It would help with insulation and a drop curtain over it helps with privacy. Good luck with it. Perhaps call it Deacon ( after the band)
Big blue bus lol, Pedro the Peugeot, I was thinking because you have Fergus as a Irish connection, so why not Pedro for the Spanish connection because of use both being from Ireland and spain Well done on the new van and best of luck, it looks a solid, strong van, can't wait so see the build, have a think about captain chairs, swivel seats in the build give you a bit more space and also you can get proper Peugeot/Citroen window blinds that is fixed in the window frames, for side window, and windscreen so that means you can use the whole cab for sitting in the evening and chilling working and all that.
Maybe worth considering placing kitchen and bathroom all the way back and having a bed that converts into dinning - living room area in the middle of the van.
Not jealous at all! Van builds are fun…. to begin with… How about a split kitchen, across the back of the cab seats but with a lift up work top section between modules to allow access to the cab? A bit like a bar counter? Fridge and cooker one side, sink the other and worktop between? As for names, how about Chippy - the carpenters bus?

Big Blue Bus 🎉 Great stuff Guys bit more comfort, reliability & power. For the new layout bear in mind the side of the road ye mostly drive and more importantly park on when deciding witch dòor to block with ye're kitchen/ storage. Best of luck with the build.
Great decision. I’m in the middle of converting a sprinter after 6 years camping in a Rav 4. Have had a few nights out already and cannot believe I didn’t do this earlier. Having a normal fixed double bed is a game changer. The only issue is height restrictions but I’m over that now as the benefits outweigh the negatives. Whilst Fergus is a legend and great for parking anywhere, the big van is much better for the hills of Spain. Also ability to stand and have a full size kitchen. Are you planning to have it officially converted on the logbook? If so, I strongly suggest to do the bare minimum as our friendly government will decide its value post conversion and tax you on that basis. Previous owner converted my sprinter with literally a gas cooker and sink. Wasn’t even insulated. I ripped everything out and started fresh. Insurance is €340 for the year and tax is €102. Cheapest quote on a commercial van was €800 and tax would have been over €1000.00. The only snag is you have to have private car insurance for at least 5 years to qualify for camper insurance. Worth thinking about if you do decide to convert it officially. Re Van name, I think Pedro (the Peugeot) is a fitting name
Congratulations on getting a newby. It's a beauty. As a self builder can't wait to see your layout. So looking forward to seeing your project take shape. Blue Lion or Bluey
I'd still have two units behind the driver and passenger seat. Just maybe a fold out kitchen top that becomes the counter top. You have decent height so you can easily over an over sink / over cooker cabinet too. The sliding door would allow easy access to fresh water and gas bottle replacement. Easy fridge access from inside and outside the van. That's what I would do anyway. Plenty of room for a side cupboard and over bed storage. Once you've lived in a T3 for a few days these vans have so much room!! I'm redoing everything on my T3 this winter. Just moving to a high top over a pop top. Need that storage!!
Double sliding door great for a tradesman. You will loose a lot of space if using second door.It will limit your options re bathroom etc.Only an opinion.Best of luck either way you go.
I’m so happy for both of you. I think you really do need this van for the trips you do all the time and should be a lot more reliable. I live here in Alicante.
Well done guys, looking forward to the build. I used Spanish popular for the cabinets and furniture strong but light. Watch your weights with the smaller van. It's a good choice of van, nice and square which will give you more head room at the sides. Big blue bus and I would call it/him/her "Farney" 😊

With swivel captains seats, a fold down table off the solid wall that blocks the un used sliding door. A kitchen cooking facility on one side then a bed that is fixed . Across the end.
