We both speak Spanish and we knew that the Spanish was way too good to be a foreigner who had learnt the language and to be fair to Fiona she was the one that picked up on it. What van would you get?

@@ShaneandAneVanLife We're looking at coach builds about 20 years old as we had one and loved her. Just too big for Tenerife. When the kids decide to stop visiting we'll likely size down but I don't think I have the huevos to have an old V dub buddy. I'm not mechanical at all.

@@ShaneandAneVanLife They are Shane! A new van has new problems and Mercedes problems are expensive. sub £5k every sprinter you find will be on it's last legs, and in years to come worth nothing. Spend the same money on an engine swap and high top and it's money in the bank, just look at Splitscreen and baywindow prices.

Can you recommend anyone who fits engines?

@@ShaneandAneVanLife Or, something cheap and easy... really easy, buy a junker t25 air cooled 2.0cu pull the engine and gear box complete and put Fergus to air cooled. swap the lower front panel and that it. Decent power and all simple air cooled

I was thinking about an TDI swap with decent 5 speed gearbox and probably the Westfalia pop-top . That way you’re keeping the same fuel. Here in France is a bit complicated if you have to do a conversion from diesel to petrol engine or vice versa. 🍻😉 As you’ve said « that’s money in the bank »

@hristonikolov454 a guy I know put a subaru engine Into his T3 last month. 15k it cost him.

@@ShaneandAneVanLife that’s a bit too much, I agree. And in the same time probably he has a serviced engine ready for adventures. It is true that some prices for T3 spares and adapted parts have gone up to the sky .

It's so annoying how many break ins happen 😭 Nothing will stop them unfortunately. The campsite was still charging this time of year. 20 euro a night I think we would like to get a crafter or something and do a van build series then take it on a trip and then sell it. You were probably very close to us!! The drive is stunning. Is Andorra worth it? We're never getting rid of Fergus. We want to do another van build, take it on a roadtrip and then sell it next year

@@ShaneandAneVanLife Sounds like a good plan. The drive through Andorra is really impressive, it just keeps going up and up. I was heading back to France at the time so didn't get to stay overnight unfortunately. If you do go that way, get there on an empty tank, the diesel is mega cheap.

We don't want anything too big. A MWB is fine for us. We just want power for the hills 😅😅 Our T25 is never leaving us 🤣

@@ShaneandAneVanLife yep we remember doing the alps and Jura alps in the old T25. We were even overtaken by an old French women giving us the v’s for holding her up

90% people follow because they drive an old T25,no craic following someone in a fancy 6.3m motorhome,I'm here for the adventure of Fergus 😊
