I found it better to put the fridge mucher higher ..saves kneeling down looking for your food !!
100% agree ❤️❤️
coming along! double sided doors! cheers! 🍻
Thank you❤️❤️
Great to have a double slider and a great colour too
Looking forward to see this progress
You will definitely see the benefit of using the double glazed windows
Thank you very much Steve ❤️
Smashing job you guys made of the windows....glad you got it done before the storm and you had no water leaks....superb. Storm in Scotland pretty bad, lots of power off for 3 days + and roof of doctors surgery took off🌬🌬🌬Van is taking shape guys, with your solar panels etc think its going to be a cracker. Keep up the good work. Love your positive get stuck in attitude which is brilliant.👍👍👍
Thank you!! So lucky to get it done before the storm.. wow roof coming off. That's mad.
Thanks for watching ❤️❤️
Those side windows look top class!
Thabk you ❤️❤️
Wow Shane. Ane you two are absolute proffesinals.....Thats a first class job you have done on the windows and I cant see that laeking
Keep up the excellent workmanship
oooppps my spelling mistakes lol......professional and leeking
🤣🤣
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Great video again guys. We used that insulation in our van too. Got it from b&Q. Doesn't agitate and so easy to tear into sections. Name for van...what about Carrick. Then you'd have Carrick and Fergus 😎
Thank you!! It's great insulation to work with :) hahah we'll have to go to CarrickFergus with both vans then haha
I think you've come up with a great layout. Just a suggestion to swap the cooker & sink. That way, you won't get food/grease spatters on your bedding and having the cooker in front of the door gives you the option of having extra ventilation when cooking.
Good idea!! Thank you ❤️
I would do this too. You might want to be able to access the gas and water tank from the outside when the door is fully open also.
Hello beautiful two the van is looking great so love ane so bubbly ❤
Thank you so so much ❤️❤️❤️
Hi guys I'm glad to see you doing well I was worried when I heard how bad the weather was up your way you are doing amazing job
Thanks Billy ❤️
Great progress.. we had fence down and TV aerial damage
No electric
But no one was injured thankfully
Thankfully very little damage 😊😊
Only lost one ridge tile in the storm thankfully and it didn’t hit anything or anyone. Would scare crap out of me to cut a hole in a van but I literally can’t put a shelf up straight. The fridge in blue van looks same as mine git it from just Kampers love it, great value.
@pauljervis your lucky you didn't have any more damage.
Yeha that's right!! That's the JustKampers fridge
@ yeah it’s just above were camper is parked thankfully slid off other way. I have feeling your like myself always looking for quality but not the brand pricing eg that fridge, decathlon gear etc.
My area in Kildare was so lucky. Lost a lot of trees but escaped the power cuts. I know many people were not as lucky. Thanks for the brilliantly positive videos
Hey Willie! It's so great to hear that you are all doing well in Kildare 💛 Our power was originally scheduled to come back today 3rd February, but luckly it came back sooner!
Thanks so much for tunning in and your lovely comment! It means a lot 😊
You two are an absolute Joy! ❤
@shirleymurray2232 thank you so much ❤️❤️
Swivel both front seats. Van looking good
@@AndrewGraham-sb6sp thank you ❤️❤️

BB is looking good. Layout seems like a good idea, particularly not having a bulkhead so you can swivel the front seat.
Thank you!! We are really enjoying this van build 😊
NO LEAKS!!!!!!
🥳🥳🥳
Big-Blue-Box is taking shape!
@@PIO-zy7gb slowly but surely!!
Use your sliding door as access to your gas bottle it can be changed and switched off by opening the sliding door
Yess because on Fergus, that was hard to change
Great job... Love your ideas!! Shane sounds like Annie isn't too bad eh. bosslady.. More like a 🎉 working bosslady lol
Good luck on the next stage of your build.... Your enthusiasm and craic is excellent😂
Rob n Elva
Thanks guys! Ane says she is the brains and I'm the handy one 😂 I wouldn't like to see her cutting the holes for the windows haha We are really enjoying the build and are looking forward to go on a big adventure with this van! 😊
Looking good. Would you not considet going all electric and forgetting the gas? You could always carry a small gas camoing single or two burner to cook on outside the van by placing it on a fold down flap at the back of fhe kitchen to use when the door is open.
We never really had any issue with gas. It's very handy for us :)
Loving the progress guys. Keep up the momentum.
Thank you Andrew ❤️❤️
Another great video folks
Thank you ❤️❤️
@ have ye come up with a name for the new van yet
Not yet! We got some seriously good suggestions that we have to pick
Great work. The storm was severe alright. We just got our power back yesterday
Oh wow only yesterday!! That's madness
Well done guys, 👏 very brave cutting those windows.
I think you have some great idea's, layout sounds perfect.
Look out Ireland, Ane's behind the wheel. 🤣🤣 be gentle with her Fergus.
Take care guys 👍 🐸
Thank you Simon ❤️
Hopefully the layout works out 😊😊
Hahaha everyone will need to watch out when Ane is behind the wheel 🤣🤣
Sounds like the perfect layout! Enjoying the van build and looking forward to seeing it develop. Good luck!
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
Hi guys
Glad you're both safe.I saw the beating my home town in Clare took and it was heartbreaking. You can take the boy out of Ireland but you'll never take Ireland out the boy!
On a lighter note.Has Ane started work for the council? The way she was inspecting your workmanship.I was just waiting for her to produce a clipboard and start saying "You can't park that there pal"😁😁
Just a thought but as you've got the two doors if you're going to be taking it primarily in Spain i would keep the open space curbside for the continent that way if you're parking on the street you're not opening into the road if you get what im trying to say
All the best and every week you both put a hugh smile on my face and bring back so many happy memories.🇪🇸🇮🇪🚐
Hey David! 👋
I hope everyone in Clare is doing well too, it's been such a difficult week...
I think she has actually started working for the council! She is going around snag list 😂😂
A lot of people are saying the same about keeping the other sliding door as our main door. Funny we never found that a problem with Fergus, so we are not sure what to do!
Thanks as always for tuning in and your comment! See you next week 😄
Love the plans for the layout and placement of the water containers, I have seen them with the access through the back of the cupboard and the “double sliding door” and it looks really handy. Consider fitting a swivel mount on the drivers seat too, that will be handy when you are travelling abroad and using the drivers side sliding door so that you aren’t facing the traffic (hope that makes sense). Go for it Annie and get in the driving seats! Got to say I try to encourage my wife to drive our little T6 but she hates it which is fine unless I am not able to drive for some reason.
Thank you so much ❤️❤️ we probably will fit a swivel base the the driver seat :)
@ whatever you do, your van will be great.
Well done guys you are doing a great job! Have you made any drawings of the layout yet? Just wondering is your van is L2 H2? I have an idea for the name: Bluebell 😉
Thank you!! We'll have to do a detail drawing.
Yes our van is L2H2. A few people have suggested Bluebell 🟦❤️
Fergie would be good name for the new van.But don't forget slowcoach Fergus
Good oul slow coach Fergus 🤣🤣
Hi guys, great video as ever... Can't you move the 3 solar panels back a bit abd put the fan in between them and the large panel. You'd get more benefit from the fan being further down the van. So large panel, fan, small panels vent. Good ole Fergus sat patiently in the background watching, or judging. Haha Go on Annie get behind that wheel down that wild Atlantic way. Thanks guys. 💜🤲🙌🫶🙏
Hey, thanks so much for tuning in a your comment! 💛
That could work. The skylight and the fan should be delivered tomorrow, so we'll see how we can fit them once they arrive!
Haha Fergus knows that he is and will always be our number 1, so he is enjoying his well-earned break 😊
I don't know how Fergus would behave with me behind the wheel 😂
I was about to suggest this also. Better to have a bit of space between the skylight and the fan 😊. Also, if the skylight can open then you can get better airflow through the van with the fan on.
I had a blue T4, we called it Smurf )
@daleclarke977 papa smurf haha
Where did you source the left hand drive van seat
@kenjconnor3049 on Donedeal thers a guy in Cavan that sells them.
Hi guys, I'd say your 2 roof windows are going to be too close together to benefit. Id have the 40x40 maxi fan centralised in the space.
Hey! The skylight and the fan should be delivered tomorrow, so hopefully, we can fit them with the 3 solar panels 🤞
@@ShaneandAneVanLife Looking forward to seeing them fitted, doing a great job so far, loving the build.
I heard it’s hard to get insurance for camper vans in Ireland in your opinion do u think it’s hard Shane ?
No very easy!! Once you hit the requirements it's super easy
Thanks 👍
No problem ❤️
No Leaks
❤️❤️
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching! 😊
You have to have Access from front to rear for Camper Insurance ..enjoy the build
No Hatch over the Bed for Obvious reasons
Enjoy the Build ..😊
Thank you so much ❤️
Christ I can’t tell a word you’re saying
@@yan0132 🤣🤣🤣🤣 are we that bad
@@ShaneandAneVanLifeNO! You are NOT!
@@ShaneandAneVanLife honestly yea. Ane more than Shane. It’s like someone who’s had a head injury and 8 pints.
@yan0132 I'd get your ears checked pal! 8600 other people don't seem to have that issue.
@@ShaneandAneVanLifehow do you know they aren’t deaf? Even the captions can’t decipher half of it.
