    Tour starts at 12:10.
I love this van build and design aesthetic. A cozy wood cabin feel. Lovely tiles in kitchen, nice wood stove, and such an airy open feel to the space. You did right by not cramming shower stall in there though it must be impossible in winter to shower outside, brrrr!! You could shower indoors with a small folding tub and drop down ceiling shower curtain. Nice to shower next to a blazing wood stove. Just put a hula hoop on your ceiling and hang a curtain from it.
Good plan to save money and buy real estate.

What a well laid out van, although I would have to have a proper sized bed, that's too small for me. I had a Bedford Ambulance in the early 90's that I converted into a camper. I had a wood burner made from an old calor gas bottle. It worked really well and got super hot. In fact I still have the wood burner and use it now and again.
I would suggest instead of buying a house, your man Matt should buy some land. Possibly with a small wood (for timber) and a stream to make electricity from a turbine. That's what I would do in his situation........

For me, the worst aspect of living in a big van wasn't the finding of water or disposing of rubbish: you find ways of doing both after a while but finding of a safe, quiet and discreet parking space where you can stay for more than 2 days in a row without being spotted was, for me, the most frustrating aspect of van life.

Been looking for an LDV Convoy for weeks without any luck. Once two a penny now not so many about. Crazy prices now too. Never ever thought I would see the day when LDV Convoy vans people would be asking £4,000-£5,000+ for them. Ridiculous. Lived in one for 7 years as a digital nomad quite a few years ago. Good vans. Basic but rugged and not a huge amount to go wrong with them apart from the dreaded kingpins but as long as they are greased every two months they shouldn't be a problem.

Had one of these vans it was great but just a heads up on a couple of things that might prolong its life for you .
The ECU mounted on the right hand ,cab side of the bulk head is vulnerable to water leaks around windscreen sealing rubber which are notoriously prone to cracking/leaking at the corners ,ie - water into the ECU😞. Sounds like you have the skill set to deal with it but a bit of protection around it might save some hassle !

First rule when you buy an LDV, fix the leaks! If you don't bother, then you're asking for trouble.

His line manager must be turning a blind eye to the guys H&S. The risk assessment for that seating position alone would be inexcusable. I know this sounds like bull to most of you guys, but his employers would be unlikely to bear the possible litigation burden if they knew about it. And unfortunately you've just shouted it from the rooftops......

@@tommo9757 I don't think he shown his real work flow setup. the van was prep for the video session.

I fully accepted the risks when I made the transition. I've gone through various versions of my office setup, involving folding chairs and many types of stands and risers, but ultimately settle for the simplest solution. I try to vary my position, and occasionally work standing up, with the help of some extra equipment.
