I use to work at a kids hospital with a lot of construction going on. There are some areas that are dark as hell. There have been rumors from the construction workers seeing kids playing around in the area. The workers would try and make contact with them to try and find out where their family is. They would run away and just disappear. Rumors of kids playing, and laughing. Some crying, and some angry. They would yell at the kids trying to get them to stop. Rumors of hearing voices kind of like this in the video plus foot steps of kids with the sound of laughter. It got so bad that all the construction workers threaten to quit and cancel the contract if they didnt change the work schedule to mornings. It doesn't matter if its just a simple job of moving stuff or a clean up. No one sets foot in those areas after 7 p.m. If they do they never go alone. Sometimes cell phones and radios do not work in those areas. They made it a top priority to light up all dark areas. I have to sometimes check those areas late at night alone. I heard a door close loudly with no one around. I felt the neck hairs stand up. I felt like I wasn't alone or being watched at times. I myself heard foot steps. I passed it off thinking it was a group of people above me on the next floor, or below. If I were to hear this or 5 nights of Freddys stuff and see what the workers have seen I wouldnt dare go up there too. You do feel like your not alone up there and it is a little creepy. I eventually quit due to how low the budget was. You literally could make more working at In and Out and just about any fast food place out there. Also this hospital had a few suicides during the major construction. People were jumping off the top parking structures.
Tyler Alex It's a funny coincidence that you mention that on a video about Dead Space since that sort of reminds me of the audio logs found in Chapter 10 of Dead Space 2 once Isaac revisits the Ishimura. In the logs, one of the workers assigned to clean and repair some interior parts of the ship started reporting that he felt uneasy and like he was being watched and followed all of the time. It got to the point that the worker who left behind these logs threatened to quit if he didn't have his shift changed due to experiencing odd phenomena so many times onboard the ship.

Man whoever came up with this idea when they developed this game back then is genius. Really adds to the unerving creepy atmosphere of the ship! But who is this talking over the P.A.?
Its the ship's main computer (without the robotic filter) reading entries on people's computers. Its implied Issac is just hearing the stuff in his head though..... dunno, its just done for spookehness :P
@@NikkiWrightVGM I was just playing the remake and while reading the text about captain's autopsy it says the cause of death is ocular trauma, not self inflicted. 2 secs after reading that I heard a whisper "self inflicted ocular trauma" so I think it IS all in Isaac's head.
If I was to pinpoint ONE single element of Deadspace that REALLY made it scare-yourself/fun/great it has to be these whispers in the back ground constantly going on. If you listen to the score WITHOUT these it just sounds like a generic horror score. But add these in and ambient metal clunkings and grindings and its AMAZING. Im so glad now I can actually hear what they're saying! My two cents is that they are being read over the comms, and are fractured psych and history documentation on crew.
She says Jane Gauthier at the beginning. Jane was a character from the Dead Space Promotional website of No Known Survivors. The voice is pretty much describing us about Jane's background.

Dead Space's sound effects have always been the best of any game. It is really eerie and you can really get lost in this game, I was pinned to my PC all the way through sequel (except the eye poke machine, which I found very unsettling. I don't even want to talk about it.)
@BMWM3GTRLOVER These sounds start happening very shortly after your start exploring the ship so they are probably playing over the ships announcement system. However Issac does have a specific sound for when the "the marker in his head" starts screwing with him. Look at my video called "Dead Space Audio - Make Us Whole..."
The whispers are part of the Markers Dementa and Halluncination effects EA and the Creators have stated that multiple times and you can go to the dead space wiki as well and find out yourself. The whispers heard are various people talking Nicole the ship computer random people just crazy stuff in Issacs head.
It's a shame I haven't been able to play with headphones. I unfortunately haven't been able to fully enjoy the audio of the game. A while ago I sent my laptop in for repairs, and when I finally got it back, the issue in question was fixed but for some reason none of the ports on the left side worked, so I couldn't plug in headphones. (You bet your ass I sent a complaint) I also haven't been able to get wireless headphones to work either; bluetooth works with some things (like mice or phone connections) but for whatever reason doesn't register headphones or earphones at all. Quite annoying
@Asleepymystikal Yeah I remember that too. Sometimes I wondered which of the voices were simply the Marker created "dementia" or whether the Ishimura's computer simply did not register the fact that most of the crew were dead.
0:42 Says -something- and "Objectify the subject". "Assistance may be labeled as obsession or even torture if you Indulge and objectify the subject. Also be mindful of psychological projection." Maybe.
I heard "(Persistence) may be labeled as obsession or even torture if you Indulge and objectify the subject. Also be mindful of psychological projection."
Actually, the whispers are also heard in Dead Space Extraction when you get close to the Marker. So it can't be the Ishimura's computer reading logs D:
I heard "Persistence may be labeled as obsession if you indulge in pulsistible? jilted? by the subject." I have no idea what the words with the question marks say. I only wrote what it sounded like, but everything else is probably right.
@Asleepymystikal The only one I remember somewhat clearly was on the mining deck. It said something along the lines of "Lunch will be served in the mess at 13:00 hours". X /
is it at all possible that these whispers indicate that the entirety of DS1 could have been a flashback in the form of a lucid nightmare. The whispers could actually be the voices of the doctors and scientists conversing with each other while in earshot of Isaac and its breaking through into the nightmare in the form of these whispers over the ship's PA.
I never actually played the No Known Survivors thing so I don't know if it also appeared in that, but I got these audio files from Dead Space 1 the game
@Asleepymystikal Probably because Isaac was not always alone in this nightmarish situation, whereas in the first game he (you) had to do almost everything after all your friends (besides Kendra of course) are killed off. Personally I still find Dead Space 2 creepy as hell. That creepy vibe was definitely in vogue when you have to fight through the Unitology church and later the preschool.
Scariest thing about dead space wasn't the necromorphs it was the sound and atmosphere

Mark didn't seem to catch it but it was funny because I remember him predicting that at some point the computer lady would start saying creepy stuff to him and I guess he was right. I actually came back to this video to find that audio clip but it isn't here. Creepy shit.
If you're interested in hearing this for yourself, I'm pretty sure it was chapter 9 mark was playing when I heard it in one of the vids.
Makes it sound like that Issac isn't actually experiencing what he's going through but instead reliving it in his mind
0:01 -"Jane Gauthier."
0:08 -"After graduating, she took a security management position with CEC in their space vessel assembly plant."
0:15 -"Gauthier's paternal grandparents reside in the populous zones in North Carolina."
0:24 -"Her Grandfather manages the shuttle convoy and Gauthier's grandmother cooks in the east wing cafeteria."
0:32 -"A desire for social interaction, physical contact, affection or support may lead you to make poor judgments of decisions in multiple areas."
0:42 -"Persistence may be labeled as obsession if you indulge and persist, you objectify the subject. Also be mindful of psychological rejection."
0:53 -"Voice analysis of the audio log detects various indicators of positive communication and physical behavior."
1:17 -"Genealogy and background report complete, sources verified, subject Gauthier Jane."
@@NikkiWrightVGM Ah okay makes sense. I read that you learn more about this in something called "No Known Survivors."
Scariest ASMR ever
I have never noticed this whispering when I put on my headphones and started to play dead space again
Hello and welcom to this episode of ASMR Ishimura
How on earth I played this as a kid I don't know, so god damn scary lol
She says Jane Gauthier at the beginning. Jane was a character from the Dead Space Promotional website of No Known Survivors. The voice is pretty much describing us about Jane's background.
Thanks for this. I kept hearing the whispers but couldn't isolate them enough to make them out.
@pivotnaza
.....When someone talks very gently and quietly to keep something a secret, or as it's used in Dead Space, to creep you the hell out.
Holy shit. did not know what the whispers were say until now. Thanks man
It's very calming for some reason
oh man!! back in 2008 i was not able to hear it with a pair of cheap speakers..with a gaming headset and 4k res it give me the creeps now even more I entered to the WC and I went like ''what the fuck is going on!?''
best note on walls... ''We are fucked...
Those voices… we remember them…
"Searching rescue..." Feels like voice asking Isaac for search anyone alive... Or it tries to find them by itself, strange...
Search and rescue*.
I'm getting goosebumps
Dead Space's sound effects have always been the best of any game. It is really eerie and you can really get lost in this game, I was pinned to my PC all the way through sequel (except the eye poke machine, which I found very unsettling. I don't even want to talk about it.)
i cant get enough dead space
@BMWM3GTRLOVER
These sounds start happening very shortly after your start exploring the ship so they are probably playing over the ships announcement system.
I don't think I ever actually acknowledged the whispers until now...
oh, and neither did I acknowledge the ones from the game either.
Best ASMR ever!
Alright yeah making a call to save this video till the morning AFTER sleep because I will sure as sh%t not get any listening to this!
(You bet your ass I sent a complaint)
I also haven't been able to get wireless headphones to work either; bluetooth works with some things (like mice or phone connections) but for whatever reason doesn't register headphones or earphones at all. Quite annoying
Благодаря выходу игры "Dead Space",Планетарный Потрошитель "Ишимура" стал знаменит не меньше, чем корабли из "Star Trek",или "Star Wars".
this is such good asmr
Jane Gauthier is the main focus of one of the Dead Space viral campaign "No Known Survivors" stories.
@Asleepymystikal
Yeah I remember that too. Sometimes I wondered which of the voices were simply the Marker created "dementia" or whether the Ishimura's computer simply did not register the fact that most of the crew were dead.
They brought these back in the remake, and they are just as unsettling
Is it when you enter a room and hear voices? I dont really hear it
@@dnblegend280 don’t know for sure but i think it just randomly plays throughout the game
@@saint5550 it does, not as effective though,
@@dnblegend280 not true you must not have 3d audio on or a 3d audio headset
@@theprotagonist2025 again, it does, its just not as effective
There’s no way to tell if there was actually someone there or if Isaac was losing his mind
Sounds like PSEC security evacuating personnel and engaging necromorphs
I am pretty sure there was also a deep male voice
Only the female voices here. There's a male speaking Spanish as well.
asmr while getting trapped in ishimura
"such a rescue." did i just get taunted bro.
I hope they remember to include this in the remake
the one at 0:09 is "after graduating, she took a security management position with the CEC at their space vessel assembly plant.
Actually, the whispers are also heard in Dead Space Extraction when you get close to the Marker. So it can't be the Ishimura's computer reading logs D:
Horror ASMR.
After u hear the Audio Log of Abraham Neumann on Aegis VII u can hear a whisper "Neumann is dead..."
I had the PC version of the game for a while and searched the web for some file converters that did the format the audio files used.
I heard "Persistence may be labeled as obsession if you indulge in pulsistible? jilted? by the subject."
I have no idea what the words with the question marks say. I only wrote what it sounded like, but everything else is probably right.
Worst of all, these voices were in Isaac's mind.
When you read along, while in the dark, you get the feeling that a slasher is behind you._.
The best ASMR!!
que buen ASMR 10/10
I would break into E.A and play this in their intercoms system overnight .
It would scare someone.
@Asleepymystikal
The only one I remember somewhat clearly was on the mining deck. It said something along the lines of "Lunch will be served in the mess at 13:00 hours". X /
top tier ASMR content
oh god the voices are coming back :(
is it at all possible that these whispers indicate that the entirety of DS1 could have been a flashback in the form of a lucid nightmare.
The whispers could actually be the voices of the doctors and scientists conversing with each other while in earshot of Isaac and its breaking through into the nightmare in the form of these whispers over the ship's PA.
So relaxing :D
Sounds like stuff Nicole would be saying on the job .
why
WHY did I have to listen to this before I went to sleep
godammit
@MrNickWright there is one that says "death is only the beginning"
I never actually played the No Known Survivors thing so I don't know if it also appeared in that, but I got these audio files from Dead Space 1 the game
@Asleepymystikal
Probably because Isaac was not always alone in this nightmarish situation, whereas in the first game he (you) had to do almost everything after all your friends (besides Kendra of course) are killed off. Personally I still find Dead Space 2 creepy as hell. That creepy vibe was definitely in vogue when you have to fight through the Unitology church and later the preschool.
