Anyone elses heart melt, when Wallace was holding Jimmy's hand and gently shushing; like a father comforting his crying child? And the singular tear running down Jimmy's cheek? I was devastated when I saw this and I'm crying like a baby over the severeness of the injuries and the fact that Wallace forgave Jimmy and prayed for him. This clip is the most gut-wrenching I have seen in a long time.
Yes, it melted my heart!!!
I really dont think "melt" is the right word to use here
Lol
@@gkrt2474 It's a figure of speech. In the sense that it warms your heart. That's what I meant. Please don't say it like that, it makes me feel awful that I wrote it like that. I just wanted to point out the heart-warming moment.

@@DisassemblyDrones ok
It wasn't that they didn't want to work with him, he was hurting and in a really bad place mentally, the people in authority didn't give him the time off he needed so they where going to protest to give him time off/help he needed, if that makes sense and to be honest he needed it. I wont pretend to now how to lead or organise a team, especially a team of fire fighters but if had been given the time needed to mentally recover he wouldn't have blatantly went against the chief and got himself injured, did he deserve it of course not but not only did he put himself into that position but was trying to get other firefighters to follow him, just imagine if others had listened to him!

"Cap...?"
And chief didn't hesitate he stayed with him. Then Jimmy's tear at the end. :'C
The way he just says “cap..?” Breaks my heart.
He was basically begging for help and forgiveness at this point
Same thing for me. When Jimmy said: "Cap..?", break my hearts and my feelings. i cried a lot.
i love it when someone of the Firehouse is in Hospital with what kinds of Injuries etc. there is always the rest of the Team there for support . that shows once again how much they're family . Family fights together but always stays together
Yea
Mf u literally telling that u like them to get hurt 🗿
Gotta be honest, I appreciate where the team were coming from at 2:00. Jimmy was hurting, and he was not in a place to look out for anyone else. But they still respected he was hurting, and wanted to do the right thing FOR him.
I agree, although I feel the team made a few mistakes when dealing with Jimmy and his grief. I think Boden was fine with Jimmy taking his frustrations and grief out on him, so no one else was in the firing line. The teams aggressive defence of Boden definitely made the situation worse, loyalty to Boden or not. Hermann and Jimmy's confrontation made an already bad situation worse, as badly as Jimmy was bad mouthing Boden the worst thing Hermann could have done was say what he said about Jimmy's late brother even if it was justified, never speak ill of the dead to the deceased's grieving loved ones. Even if them refusing to work with Jimmy was made out of concern for Jimmy's well-being it was a bad move. Jimmy refused to take time off and this would have just alienated him at a time where they should have brought him into the fold more and offered more emotional support. The final nail in the coffin was Casey's statement "Never mind I'll do it myself!" Yes Jimmy was off task but that was definitely wrongly worded. A better response would have been "it doesn't matter, look I know you're grieving your brother, but we're here for you and you are one of us, but we need you to watch our backs" This would have defused some of Jimmy's anger and got him back on task, leading to him eventually healing. Instead Jimmy felt that he not only had to defend himself from his so called team mates but he had to defend his brothers name, leading him to do something dangerous that lead to him getting severely injured in a desperate attempt to prove himself to his team.
@@Pagan20-08 i agree
it was the team and jimmy fault about what happened jimmy.
This was 100% Jimmy's fault, he should have taken time off to grieve with his family. If not voluntarily, it should have been mandatory and he should have seen a counsellor to evaluate his readiness to return to active duty.
I'm sorry Jimmy got hurt, but Casey hasn't got time to hand hold this guy through his grief during a rescue call, he's got that woman's life to save, he was doing him job. Jimmy wasn't doing his job, he shouldn't have been on active duty. Then he wouldn't have got burned like that.
When he recovers he'll have a permanent reminder of his horrific mistake he made that day.
Love this show, so well filmed and with a fantastic cast. The guy playing Jimmy especially in this episode, the way he reached for Boden and conveyed so much with that silent look between them. Brilliantly done.
jimmy: burns off his face

At the end when Jimmy all of a sudden reached out his hand for chief and started crying 🥺🥺That made me cry
I actually cried super hard in some of the scenes in the video. I felt so bad for Jimmy. I appreciate how chief Boden kept Jimmy like his child, he's absolutely a real chief that looks out for his brave men. I also cried on the scene where jimmy's right hand moves, and chief Boden holds Jimmy's right hand, and that Jimmy's right eye is starting to make tears, almost as if he was saying: "Chief Boden, please forgive me for doing a mistake."
Damn Mason Lockwood and Jeremy Gilbert switched from Mystic Falls to Chicago hahaha
I know right
😂
I love how Chicago med and Chicago fire are kind of collabing.
John Wright there is also Chicago Justice, but i think that's pretty new
TaleMarie Not new. They Cancelled it sadly.
They literally always collab lol including Chicago P.D. Don’t you watch the full episodes?
My biggest frustration about this was that Jimmy knew for a fact that the chief does allow firefighters to do last minute checks, especially if they hear or see something, regardless of the state of the structure on fire... He himself had witnessed this... I get being upset that his brother died but to lodge a complaint and use the recent loss of his brother to help him stay on 81 just to spite chief made no sense and was malicious... Smh.... I honestly am happy this happened cuz I didn't see Jimmy getting over it any time soon
😭😢🚒
grief can do weird things to people
Poor Jimmy...But just imagine how much pain you would be in if that was you? I feel sooooooooo bad for him. I hope he will be ok. The part when the other guy held on to his hand tightly though...it melted my heart, it almost sent me of in tears. 🥺💔
Oh I can't

Anyone else notice that that’s Jeremy from Vampire Diaries
Yeah it took long to notice
Yes
Yes and he's Steve McQueen's grand son and Chad McQueen's son (Dutch in Karate Kid).
WOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW (in sarcastic tone)
Melissa Mapondera yeah me
i cant be the only one thinking why they dont have facial fire protection gear
There really isn't anything. There's a cloth style balaclava that will cover the head and neck and leaves the face open but the only thing that goes over the face is the shields on the helmet and the SCBA mask. Given they weren't fighting an indoor fire they didn't need to don the balaclava or SCBA gear. It varies from department to department but a lot of departments don't require firefighters to don their SCBA's for open air fires. Sometimes it's left at the scene command's discretion whether they don their SCBA gear or not.
They have just that they only use it the the flame building
They do they just don’t use it for these situations
in the Netherlands the firemen have a space helmet like face protection mask that slides in the helmet and out in cases like this its pretty useful
plus it also might restrict their sight
You wanna know what would've made this super emotional?
If he traced the word "Sorry" on Boden's Arm with his finger...
NOO I JUST REALIZED THAT OML 🤧🤧

How poignant that the one guy he was trashing at Molly's was the one praying for him!
The images of Jimmy’s send-off haunted me for days, because of how realistic and well-done they were… he begged to end up like this, because of his attitude (justified or not), but it was still horrifying to watch…
When he started crying at the end I just sobbed and prayed to god that I have a eye and a good life.
Woah Jimmy was actually in flames!!

Frh ft dug hmmm
Jimmy's story builds up majestically. Literally everything that happens tells him that he shouldn't be there.
First, Boden doesn't want him in the firehouse.
Then his brother tries to get him transfered.
His relation with chilli is a trainwreck.
When he is about to get transfered, he goes onto paramedic duty.
Then his brother dies.
And finally, Jimmy disregards Boden's orders and gets himself burned.
It's amazing how I literally just watch these 5 min clips and don't really know any of the storylines or characters but they still make me sob like a little girl!
I did not see this coming
I just thought that Boden beat up Jimmy - but I was wrong 😢
