    Season 6 Episode 1 "It Wasn't Enough"
    With most of Firehouse 51 still trapped in the warehouse fire, Boden makes a split decision and uses water cannons in order to save his men despite the dangers caused by the resulting steam. Two months later, Casey, along with Mouch and the rest of the Firehouse survives. Casey receives a Medal of Valor and it is revealed he is being considered for promotion to Captain; Casey's view on the matter is that he has had enough politics. Meanwhile, Dawson's father moves out without notice and finds employment once more. Meanwhile, Mouch returns to 51 with a new fitness persona. Also, Brett reunites with a childhood friend by the name of Hope, who strikes up a relationship with Severide. A teacher gets burned in a fire at the high school where Boden's wife, Donna, recently started working at. Donna later reveals that the fire was not an accident.

    My father served 27 years on the force, asbestosis got the better of him in 2004. Every time these lads fire up their engines, I’m forever grateful for our service men and women.
    Much respect to those who have made the sacrifices, and to the families who have supported our heroes, day in and day out :) great episodes and the class to match 👍

      A teacher at my school died suddenly and even though he was only at my school for a few months apparently a lot of students were sad. They had a memorial service at school. I don’t know why but it felt weird that everyone got upset about his death when he was just a teacher they barely knew.

    my sister almost died in a school fire. I was 6 years old back then, so i had no idea what was going on. My mother explained when we got home that my sister had to stay in bed for a while. Now i understand better. My sister was 10, and giving a presentation when something overheated and exploded near her, she was the closest to it. As the class was evacuated, my sister's teacher grabbed her and left, she was a true hero. I had no idea there was a fire, and i thought we were going out to the cafetiria for early lunch, im not kidding. AND IM STILL UPSET THE TEACHERS DIDNT BOTHER TO TELL ME THERE WAS A FIRE AND MY SISTER COULD HAVE BEEN HURT!!!!! Florida schools are scary!!!!!! then we i was 10 there was a school shooting threat and everyone was screaming, but thankfully no one was hurt

    I've experienced two real life emergencies while in school. In middle school someone had accidently set fire to a microwave in the teachers lounge. It was mid winter so they evacuated us to the hockey rink across from our school.
    The other was when I was in high school, somebody called in a bomb threat to the school. It wasn't real but the lockdown we went into very much was.

    • @IzzyKawaiichi
      @IzzyKawaiichi 2 года назад

      (animal abuse warning) I've had similar experiences. Once, in middle school, we thought it was just a really long drill until we heard and saw the fire trucks coming. Evidently there was some sort of gas leak somewhere, but they fixed it pretty quick, although we all ended up standing outside for 45 minutes. My first year of university, I was back in my town hanging out with my high school friends at the local park during the winter break. The high school was still in session and my friend's younger sister was a senior. She texted that the school was in lockdown because someone had written a note threatening something or another. The secretary's son and another kid had been arrested earlier in the year for stealing and dismembering someone's dog. The other kid went to jail, but the secretary bailed her son out, so he went back to school. They had both been bullied before for various reasons, but it understandably worsened after that. He wrote the note, but he had neither an actual plan nor materials. He was just hanging out in class with everybody else. I'm not sure if he got arrested again.
      My next semester at university, someone robbed a bank nearby, so we went into lockdown for an hour and a half. OH, and last year, my very last week at my previous job working for a community college, we went into lockdown for 2.5 hours because of a shooting at the local high school-- not a mass shooting, but a gun violence incident (only 2 people were shot, and only one of them was his target). The high school actually came off of lockdown before we did because the culprit left the school and ended up in a standoff with police at his home-- which happened to be a block away from our campus. So that was *fun.*

    At my school, firefighters come at least every six months to check if the firefighting equipment is up to date. They also do a drill with some of the teachers. In that drill, they train those teachers to lead everyone out of the school safely in case an actual fire happens.
    And there is also the annual evacuation drill, where the teachers lead the students to safety in a possible fire scenario.

    My school actually went down in flames! There was like 700 kids in my school and more than half of those kids died! My best friend was one of the kids who died! He wasn’t just my best friend, he was my boyfriend! I miss him so much! 😭 he saved me but sacrificed his own life 😭😭😭

    When we had fire in my school, I literally got hit with a table by some panicked guy, who threw it out of his way.
