Hey guys thanks for watching! Just want to clear up one thing I’m seeing in the comments regarding ps5 arcade sticks. Most PS4 generation controllers should work even on PS5 games as long as they’re “officially licensed”. Unofficial controllers like ones using the Brook UFB will generally work on a PS5 console but only if you’re playing a PS4 version of the game or if u have their Brook UFB PS5 upgrade PCB. The Victrix Pro FS-12 isn’t the first PS5 controller, it’s just (as far as I’m aware) the first all button controller that is officially licensed and thus, natively compatible with PS5 games.
Regarding tournament rules: I’m told that last input priority socd cleaning is allowed at EVO but not in CPT events. I wasn’t aware of this so be sure to refer to the official rule sets of any event you plan to enter.
Thanks again for watching! What’s your favorite feature of the Pro FS-12?

Would love to see input lag test for this PS5 compatible PCB. For $400, I would have liked to see MX-Style buttons similar to Gamerfinger or Crown-202's. $2.50 buttons in a $400 controller is a bit steep. Especially, considering they are targeting the enthusiast market with this stick. If they want to be the "Ferrari" of sticks don't cheap out on the wheels. Great review.

  • @zakk219
    @zakk219 2 года назад +37

The controller looks nice and it probably feels nice to play on but for $400, I would think you would get something a little more. That's asking a lot for a controller like this, especially with relatively cheaper buttons (Sanwas are nice and the standard but I think they could have used mx style buttons or something) and the stranger layout for all button controllers. It seems like they saw the trend of all button arcade-style controllers and decided that they could make some money by offering a premium in a category that doesn't have one unless you go custom but it feels like they cut a few corners. It's nice that it's officially licensed and compatible with PS5 but I still don't see why anyone would want to pay $400 for it over any alternative.

Note: SOCD and SOCD cleaning/resolution are not the same thing. There are a few methods to clean inputs and can be axis specific
    - Neutral Priority L+R = N
    - Last Input Priority L+R=R/R+L=L
    - Absolute Priority U+D=U/D+U=U
    - First Input Priority L+R=L/R+L=R
With regards to SOCD cleaning and tournament legality. It really depends on what tournaments you are talking about. Nearly all major tournaments don't have a specific requirement for the method, only that you must have SOME form of cleaning and are not sending SOCD inputs.
CPT updated their rules and now require either neutral priority or no SOCD at all.

I have one of these too. My comments: Be aware!!: screw-in buttons DO NOT FIT in this controller. I tried to put Crown Samducksa screw-ins in this controller and they don't fit properly. The controller appears to only want snap-ins (there are little notches in the underside of the inside of the case for the tabs on snap-in buttons). Also, the company appears to have just used the extract same hinged door on the bottom as the stick version, leaving the totally useless plastic mold for an extra joystick, taking up MORE space in the already very limited space in the case. The company also ran wires right through the middle of the buttons, making changing them out way harder and nerve racking than it should be. Overall, great stick, def worth it. But, def some major room for improvements and a couple serious oversights (only fitting snap-ins, and the hinged door still having the extra joystick holder..... come on guys, y'all could have done better..... ).

Hey, love your vids. Here's a question about accessibility when it comes to sticks in general.
A while ago I noticed that I'm far more consistent with my right hand when it comes to motions but I find the idea of playing with crossed arms pretty unappealing.
Since I'm not that deep in Arcade Stick manufacturers I wondered whether there's enough demand for people who would rather have the Stick and Buttons mirrored --- So stick on the right and buttons on the left --- or if you basically have to build your own in that case.
And who knows, maybe you find this question interesting enough to consider it for a video.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on it either way.

I have a Victrix Pro Limited Edition M Bison and it's the best stick I've ever used it's super comfortable and weighted but for a Leverless stick the Victrix body might not be the best option I agree since leverless sticks don't use a 🕹 you don't really need a big box, I am thinking on buying a slim Hitbox. The Leverless Victrix is not the best bet for comfort. If you plan to buy a Fightstick I would %100 recommend the Victrix Pro but if you're thinking on getting a Leverless stick don't get the Victrix Pro.

  • @RezTheHero

I have a few questions, so I recently bought the Victrix pro FS 12 as well and this is my first leverless stick and have not used any sticks extensive. However I came from PC gaming so thought the transition would be better plus I feel the lever is imprecise for me.
I sort of got used to it now, however, I still need to get use to pinky and ring fingers movements, is there anything I can do for that. And my fingers cramp and so do my wrists a bit. Not sure if it's more a muscle memory thing similar to when I moved from console to PC and learned wasd, it hurt at first just for the motions but got used to it so it doesn't. Is that the same case? Or should I be hovering my hands the whole time over them like a piano? Is there a particular hand placement for hitbox controllers?
Would it be possible for you to do a follow up in hand placement with hitbox style controllers and the Victrix?
    Sorry for the long comment

There's a way around the warning for 3rd party controllers that are being used on the PS5. If you are using the Brook UFB inside your controller, add the UP5 PCB to it, update your firmware, and you shouldn't see that warning again. This is the only way around it for unlicensed controllers I'm aware of.

    • @Ratel3000

The same tactic of using the Brook UFB, adding the UP5 PCB and updating the Brook UFB now also works with the Blue Brook PS4 + Audio PCB. Feel free to use this as a cheaper alternative to UP5 + UFB.
