Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I'm a "wait until the last possible moment to start" type of person, so it absolutely blows my mind, how you manage to consistently release such high quality videos.
Thank you so much! I normally am not - I like to be prepared - but as I am working on my collection all week long atm, there is just less time for the videos now 🙈 but I try my best to be on time! ♥️
I just completed my pant block and it's perfect! Your instructions were very helpful and easy to follow. I am somewhat new to sewing and have learned so much from your videos. Thank you!
Amazing tutorial!! I just tried out my block in fabric and the pants fit! I'm literally so amazed, I was convinced I would mess up along the way. Thank you for making this video!
Would love to see a part 2 to this video on how to adjust the pattern if it doesn't fit well, like maybe if the crotch ended up being too tight, or the pants go up into the butt...how to fix that in the pattern, where the alterations should be made.. XOXO love your videos!
As a sewing beginner, your videos are clear and helpful... some of the best I have seen on RUclips. As a man, it would be nice to see some men's pants and shirt blocks... I am assuming that this video is a women's pants block.
Thank you so much!! I've been looking forward to this video! Especially as a small wasited big bummed gal! I can't wait to have pants that actually fit me! 🥰
Miss thank you for this great tutorial please also can you show us how to sew the pant property and please give us more pant tutorials . God bless you .
Thank you very much kachi🥰🥰🥰your videos are so helpful for someone Who is an amateur like me.... please please make tuto about haute couture techniques on pants and dresses.. .milles merci encore une fois 🙏🙏🙏🙏
in 17:04 what is considered a big difference between hip and waist? my waist is 103cm and my hip is 111cm, so is a 8cm difference considered big? normal? small? in 17:30 calculating how much to take in from the side seam: for my measurements it ended up being that I extended my waist line to the left past the side seam by 3cm. is it wrong? so later when connecting the waist and hip with a curved line it doesn't work out for me because the waist line goes further to the left then the hip line...(i made my dart 2.25 wide plus ease, maybe i should make it smaller?) i hope my question makes sense, i'm literally drawing this as i'm watching the video in slow motion so not to miss anything :-) thank you for this very informative tutorial! :-)
Thought I update in case anyone is curious - I ended up making the front dart smaller. the back darts stayed the same. In both Front and Back pieces the waist line extended to the left past the original line, and I kinda wiggled it and curved the sides as much as I could because it's like an outward curve... anyway I sewed a mock up and the fit is perfect!!! omg I can't believe I nailed it on the first try! I only sewed pants once before using a pattern but this time I drafted my own :-) just goes to show that your tutorials are amazing :-) thank you!
Thank you for great video. Very clear instruction. If model has protruding belly and waist is very close to hips. In that case can we skip the front darts? If yes, what effect it does on the pattern construction? Thank you 🤗
The amount of information in this video is amazing! For free??? THANK YOU! Question, if you create a pants pattern from this block and wanted to add a classic waistband, would you need to alter the block in some way or do you just add a waistband to the top?
You normally don't add the waistband to the top but rather cut it out of the block - but that also depends on where you'd like the band to sit. I prefer high waisted for example, so I would go down 1cm on the Block and then add my waistband as a rectangle on top. 🥰
Hi, I went through the comments. I can help with the paper. It's oak tag. Also I think it's would be a great help if you put out a video of how to measure ourselves. If the measurements are taken wrongly, the accuracy will be effected greatly. Can I get my angle for the crotch by doing this 1- put a ruler alongside the side right under armpit 2-put another ruler on the buttock. Then get the amount of that angle gave Or better yet, I should use the compass instead of the two rulers? Thank you for your instructions. It's very informative and professional. A great gem, actually. P.S. For a video of taking the measurements, please give an upvote to this. Thisiskachi may give in when she sees a lot of people want it. Thanks
Hi! There is one measurement I don't understand and that is the knee line. 1/2 SrH - 1/10 SrH. Is it half the croch height minus one tenth of crotch heigth? How to calculate that measurement? Thank you!
Thank you so much for this amazing video, just a question; can you skip the darts and just don't add them to the 1/4 waist measurement? Thinking of making a pair of jeans from this pattern☺️
It highly depends on your hip & waist measurements. If they are not too different, you can do that. Otherwise you will take out fabric on the side seam too much which creates a two dimensional shape, but you have a butt, a tummy, ... which are three dimensional. Therefore the darts are required. Especially for jeans as they need to fit perfectly.
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! It's so detailed and thorough. I do have a question though, in your experience how does this pattern translate to shorts? Is it enough to simply hem it at the length I want or should other alterations be made?
Excuse me, I have a question, if you can help me If we reduce the width of the crotch in the front of the pants, is it effective in the beauty of the pants? In some methods (for one size), the front crotch width is, for example, 6, but in others it is 5 or 4 which one is better ?? And give us better pants? I'm sorry if I wrote bad English
It's 1:56am but I must watch this!!

For a person who just bought a sewing machine and never sewed any piece of clothing before, this is too much science :D
Maybe start with the skirt pattern :)

Thanks for the tutorial. Can u pls provide a link to the paper you’re using too?
I have an hourglass figure so I really appreciate the ‘protruding buttocks’ option 😃 lovely video, neat, easy to follow, well done! 👏🏼🌸❤️
Eyyy me too lol that’s why almost no pants fit me well…Guess jeans used to fit, but I think they switched their “ pant block” lollll
Really great work thx mam

Will this work for men's pants as well?
Mans pants are slightly different as they need more space.
@@THISISKACHI Oh bummer! Thanks though!
@@THISISKACHI do you just lower the crotch line a little for mens’ pants?
for a second i thought you'd cut your hair haha. a bob would definitely suit you :)
Thank you haha 🥰 yeah I only later noticed that it totally looks like I have short hair 😂 I am thinking about cutting it again once it's possible

What does sTaU stand for?
Will this still work for plus sized people, like super plus sized.
My waist is 160cm, hips are 196 cm.
Will that effect the crotch angles?
Confuses me with working with centimeterS since I’m in the US.
well we (the rest of the world) are confused all the time with most videos using inches haha you just end up having to learn both systems
What paper do you use?
Excuse me, I have a question, if you can help me

Excuseme
In this method What is the width of the back crotch compared to the front?Does it double?
Us😅
it's not THAT easy, maybe i have to watch it 2-3 times or more, but thank you for share it
I was so confused till I searched up how Germans write their decimals. In America we use “.” instead of “,” so that confused me
Oh yeah true! The "," came so naturally, I wasn't even thinking 😅
@@THISISKACHI what type of paper did u use
I wish you would of made your measurements not in centimetres. We use inches. Out here
Most of the world uses centimeters, feel free to take your measurements using centimeters as well. Nearly all tapes have both on them.
When i clicked on the custom charts a window came up with a virus warning, thought i better warn you
Thank you! I will look into it.
