    It sucks for fans that WCW went out of business... It sucks that major territories were gobbled up by WWF... I no longer watch wrestling, just catch it here and there, so I might be talking out of my ass when I say it sucks... But I was blessed being born in 1980... I only knew WWF and the comic book era of wrestling, in high school during the Monday Night Wars, and then 18-21 during the attitude era (and we had a scrabbler for free PPV) I went to the service in 01' and didn't watch anymore... Growing up our neighborhood had around a dozen boys and it was AWESOME being able to watch Attitude Era PPV events with a group ranging from 7 years old to 21... Back in the day when the little squirts in the neighborhood were throwing up the double middle finger and slapping the "Suck It!"

    The shower story here is a little different. I’ve seen just about every interview/dvd of Hall & Nash and obviously (as everyone knows) their contracts just happen to be up at the same time.
    Nash said Hall kind of caught him off guard when Hall said he’s leaving and he asked Scott how much are we talking about? Scott said: “Sting Money.” And that: “I’m just an ex IC CHAMP - you’re the ex world champ…” meaning he would get more.
    I’m basically quoting Nash from Legends of Wrestling: NWO.

    • @RedfishCarolina
      @RedfishCarolina 4 месяца назад +2

      @@SRPC21 Their ratings were terrible, that's what I mean. But a lot of their content was terrible too.
      I know it sounds like I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth but they definitely had major problems. Sting, Flair, and Vader weren't one of them, they had some good matches. What I'm calling a shitshow is all the bizarre stuff they did prior to the Outsiders. Look at the strange crap they did with the Yeti, Shockmaster, trying to sell Paul Whyte as the son of Andre, casting John Tenta as "the shark" . They had a ton of talent around but couldn't figure out how to use them. They moved so far away from what made the old NWA so good, the matches used to be very realistic and gritty, but WCW tried to chase the WWF cartoonist style, and went way too far with it.
      I really hated the Dungeon of Doom, it was really trash. It was cheesy and reeked of 1980's cartoon villains like Mum-zra.

    geez. Diesel was limited, but he has main evented Wrestlemania's by that point. and i doubt Shawn was being paid a flat rate either. i'm surprised at Vince for being so wrong-footed.
    and we know he was, cos why would fake Razor, and fake Diesel ever lift off the launch pad?
    and.. why he offered Brett a 20 yr contract soon after.
    why are billionaires so cunty?

    • @mikeg2491

      Anyway it's sliced Vince was trying to pinch pennies in a time when that wasn't best practice. And they almost went out of business BECAUSE WCW was spending money.
