Doing this video in itself and getting real about health is a huge win. We can do it together! I recently decided to make better choices for my health too. My problem area is dessert. I have a big sweet tooth. I got Chobani Coconut Greek Yogurt and fresh pineapple as my dessert this week so we'll see how this goes. Hopefully, the extra protein will give me more energy too. There is no such thing as failing. Sometimes we fall off of the wagon, if we get back on it's a win. No matter how many times it happens. So cool that your hubs and brother are joining you. We can do it!! I'm so excited for our new journey!!❤❤ Congrats on 3K + subs!! 🎉🎊
You are amazing, and I definitely see the difference even in those two months! And yes the CPAP is a life changing device, 4/5 people in my family use it and it’s has changed their entire outlook it seems like. A good nights rest is a miracle in itself!
You are kicking butt! - It is really hard. I am 5'4 and my starting weight was 228. I have chronic health issues and my Liver enzymes were up like yours. My asthma got worse, etc.. I take a GLP1 because it is working for my health issues and insulin resistance. Man my blood sugar has not been so stable in so long. It is so nice to not be sick every time I eat(or don't). In the right hands, those meds are live-changing. I do agree that too many doctors offer them over lifestyle changes and that is not acceptable. I tried naturally and then with metformin, for about 8 months and it just wasn't happening.. We can do this. You are NOT alone and you will reach those goals. Take it slow and know that it is a long term lifestyle change, not a short term fix. God bless you. ❤

This video is so relatable, Amanda. I have have been going through some of this myself but I remind anyone who needs to control their portions to get microwave safe, quality controlled bowls and plates. It’s an eye opening how much portion sizes can be distorted. My mantra is one meal and one day at a time. One video of any kind is fine. You can use reading time as a reward during or after your workouts after your day is done too if it works out for you.
The part with the coffee creamer is so real! I can’t do black coffee either. It takes a lot of strength to be able to talk about health issues so thank you for opening up. I’m also trying to get back into a healthy lifestyle..food is my comfort especially on those hard days.

One of the most helpful and true things I ever heard that has encouraged me to improve my health by losing weight and moving more is this..."What can I do today that my future self will thank me for?" I have seen too many family members ignore health issues and wind up living a very poor quality of life as they aged to the point of not being able to travel or enjoy being active with their grandchildren.

Your vlog just gave me motivation to do intermittent fasting again, that's what worked for me best with my health issues, but the last 1,5 month was pure anxiety with my brother in the ICU for weeks... and so I just simply couldn't fast, I "had to" eat for comfort all day long. But now he is out of the hospital, thank the Lord for that, and so I can focus on my health again and do the fasting thing again. It's just that I became so lazy and comfortable 🤣 But you and your honest talk really is so inspiring! So I will fight on like you do! God bless you and may He give you all the strength and perseverence you need on your journey to maintain a healthy life! You can do this!!!

I'm right there with you girl! I was 331, I've lost over 100lbs. I still need to lose about 50lbs. Maybe more. And I've been struggling. At first the weight was falling off of me, now it's coming off very slowly. But we got this girl! We deserve to be healthy and happy. Keep up the awesome work!!

Oatmeal is good for a fatty liver. Also grapefruit is good for it. I buy the big plastic jar of grapefruit in the produce section. Buy the dark ones. 😊
I am so sorry to hear about your health issues BUT,! Congratulations on losing 10 pounds. Yes you definitely need to prioritize your health. If you need to take a step back do that although I’ll miss your book recommendations. It’s still been difficult for me to find a good Christian fiction book recommendation channel. I feel like I just watch you and oceana mainly. I also just try to find new books on my own. Maybe you could incorporate the recipes you use for your meals, if you feel led to. I struggle with trying to find simple delicious meals. I do not like cooking. Anyway, glad you are feeling better. Have a great day.

Yes, Amanda! I started making dietary changes in February and haven’t felt this good in years! I hear you with making better choices. I was actually able to stop some of the medication I was prescribed because all of my levels normalized after I started eating better and trying to get better sleep. This is also why I decided to do “Slow-vember” because reading should be fun not work and not stressful. Stress causes so many health issues! So, way to go for taking care of yourself!! 🎉❤

i suspect when you lose weight, you won't have sleep apnea anymore. Love the pastel pink weights! I know it's hard to lose weight, though. For me, I found that carbohydrates are SO addictive! I had to just go cold turkey on so many foods so I'd quit craving them (and quit giving in to the cravings!). I pray for wisdom for you and your family's health.
I have had to give up so much, food intolerances/allergies etc. I refuse to give up coffee, but I do a light roast natural coffee, with oat milk and real maple syrup.
In 2016 my best friend passed away from cancer, I was postpartum with my third daughter and developed anxiety. I was terrified of going to the Dr and being diagnosed with something… This has encouraged me to take my health back and get checked out, my mom has sleep apnea and my husband has had sleepless nights because of my snoring. My body is definitely not where I would like it, honestly I feel like a prisoner in my own body so thank you for this! It’s been really eye opening and you look great!! ❤
I need to get healthier too! I had a hysterectomy and had to start antidepressants, both of which have made me gain weight. I have always been underweight but now my doctor says I’m OVERweight. You’re encouraging me too! I have a walking pad and weights under my bed just need to use them. Thank you for this video and congratulations on your progress!! ❤🎉

You should be proud of yourself with every effort you make. What your dealing with didn't happen overnight and will definitely improve because you're doing what needs to be done. Each of us, as believers are the temple of the Holy Spirit, which means we should honor the Lord by taking care of our bodies, and that looks different for everyone. I’m prediabetic and on metroformin, my doctor told me in 6 months if I don’t get my glucose down I’ll have to go on ozempic. I need to lose weight. Thanks for the motivation.
I have severe sleep apnea and you discussing the information about sleep apnea is helping me when I see my new doctor. I developed breathing issues from mild COVID back in 2022 and I found out i have scoliosis....on top of having other health issues like severe sinus/allergies, type 2 diabetes. Being healthy with working out and eating healthy is hard but im on ozempic with my insulin and its helping me. Please make more of these videos along with the book videos. I need all the help with what I can eat and how to budget heslthy food because prices are so high. Thank you for sharing your journey.

When I had little man, they could barley get the spinal tap in for my c-section so that's when I found that out. I know the ozempic helps with insulin for sure and helps people, I hope I didn't sound rude about that --- I was just frustrated more so with the doctor telling me that first thing vs talking about other things you know? Look up D R Ken Berry. He is in TN. He has a RUclips channel. I've been eating low carb, keto and how carnivore. Gradually reducing my carbs over a few months and then onto carnivore (meat and eggs... i did his beef bacon butter and eggs too). It's been life-changing for me. No food noise, no cravings. He had a video about fatty liver disease.

Hello, Amanda! Can I ask what state you live in? I have some of the same health issues but Tennessee is really bad for medical care. You can just Google it and see it's one of the worst states to live in for that purpose. My husband also has a heart condition and we've been thinking about moving for a couple years now. I just wondered if your state had better medical care. If you lived outside of Tennessee that is. Thank you and I hope that you get better. I'm with you on the exercise.

I am so sorry to hear about your health issues BUT,! Congratulations on losing 10 pounds. Yes you definitely need to prioritize your health. If you need to take a step back do that although I’ll miss your book recommendations. It’s still been difficult for me to find a good Christian fiction book recommendation channel. I feel like I just watch you and oceana mainly. I also just try to find new books on my own. Maybe you could incorporate the recipes you use for your meals, if you feel led to. I struggle with trying to find simple delicious meals. I do not like cooking. Anyway, glad you are feeling better. Have a great day.

Yes, Amanda! I started making dietary changes in February and haven’t felt this good in years! I hear you with making better choices. I was actually able to stop some of the medication I was prescribed because all of my levels normalized after I started eating better and trying to get better sleep. This is also why I decided to do “Slow-vember” because reading should be fun not work and not stressful. Stress causes so many health issues! So, way to go for taking care of yourself!! 🎉❤

I began a lifestyle change years ago after having my second baby & I’m down 50lbs and kept it off. I could stand to lose another 20lbs or so for comfort lol 😅 but I am healthy where I am now and grateful for that! It’s been tough but once you truly accept that it’s a lifestyle and not a temporary diet it helps a lot! It’s so worth it too when you finally feel good in your health!!

i suspect when you lose weight, you won't have sleep apnea anymore. Love the pastel pink weights! I know it's hard to lose weight, though. For me, I found that carbohydrates are SO addictive! I had to just go cold turkey on so many foods so I'd quit craving them (and quit giving in to the cravings!). I pray for wisdom for you and your family's health.

I have had to give up so much, food intolerances/allergies etc. I refuse to give up coffee, but I do a light roast natural coffee, with oat milk and real maple syrup.

I need to get healthier too! I had a hysterectomy and had to start antidepressants, both of which have made me gain weight. I have always been underweight but now my doctor says I’m OVERweight. Hi Amanda, you are doing so well and kudos to you for taking time to take care of yourself! Consistency is so important with food choices, getting sleep, and moving your body. You should be proud of yourself with every effort you make. What your dealing with didn't happen overnight and will definitely improve because you're doing what needs to be done. Each of us, as believers are the temple of the Holy Spirit, which means we should honor the Lord by taking care of our bodies, and that looks different for everyone. I’m prediabetic and on metroformin, my doctor told me in 6 months if I don’t get my glucose down I’ll have to go on ozempic. I need to lose weight. Thanks for the motivation.

I have severe sleep apnea and you discussing the information about sleep apnea is helping me when I see my new doctor. I developed breathing issues from mild COVID back in 2022 and I found out i have scoliosis....on top of having other health issues like severe sinus/allergies, type 2 diabetes. Being healthy with working out and eating healthy is hard but im on ozempic with my insulin and its helping me. Please make more of these videos along with the book videos. I need all the help with what I can eat and how to budget heslthy food because prices are so high. Thank you for sharing your journey.

When I had little man, they could barley get the spinal tap in for my c-section so that's when I found that out. I know the ozempic helps with insulin for sure and helps people, I hope I didn't sound rude about that --- I was just frustrated more so with the doctor telling me that first thing vs talking about other things you know? I will definitely keep yall updated with my journey!!

Look up D R Ken Berry. He is in TN. He has a RUclips channel. I've been eating low carb, keto and how carnivore. Gradually reducing my carbs over a few months and then onto carnivore (meat and eggs... i did his beef bacon butter and eggs too). It's been life-changing for me. No food noise, no cravings. He had a video about fatty liver disease.

Hello, Amanda! Can I ask what state you live in? I have some of the same health issues but Tennessee is really bad for medical care. You can just Google it and see it's one of the worst states to live in for that purpose. My husband also has a heart condition and we've been thinking about moving for a couple years now. I just wondered if your state had better medical care. If you lived outside of Tennessee that is.
