  • Knobs. They make a big difference.
And that's something that Isuzu Ute Australia heard loud and clear from its customers and media, with the updated version of the D-Max getting knobs for the infotainment screen across the board, and its a new screen with better menus and quicker smartphone mirroring connections, too.
There's much more to the changes for the MY24 Isuzu D-Max ute than just that, though. The brand has added new technology, better safety gear, off-road assistance, and there have been other interior changes and exterior design adjustments, too.
So would you buy this over one of those other utes, like the Ford Ranger, Toyota HiLux, Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT-50, GWM Ute Cannon, or Volkswagen Amarok?
Watch and you'll be able to see for yourself!

@@mikehunt9993 Here we go again another hater of different models or manufacturers. You have made all these claims of issues so how about you actually back them up with facts not hear say. The actual issue rate of the new ranger is one of the lowest of all cars you can find that on the government web pages such as links from the ACCC.
In the same place you will find all the faults with the Dmax such as a class action for the front-end cracking and other issues including the gear boxes which they share with the Hilux. Most cars these days are pretty darn reliable from all makes, the only fault that is really evident is the ill-informed and too lazy to investigate properly before posting rants. When you are spending some serious cash you need to investigate.

It may be basic tradie spec but it’s still better appointed than my 2008 i30 with the exception of the door trim (which doesn’t worry me). Leather seats etc don’t worry me, I’m happy with cloth.

Thanks Matt - the new Triton is worse than the previous gen - Ford have poor reliability and a woeful service culture which you shouldn’t claim is a good vehicle - the Isuzu legacy of once being tied with Holden means I’ll never choose one - the Amarok has the annoying left side placement of the indicator binnacle which is a major deal breaker for me - I own a Toyota Hilux with conventional handbrake and no likely to fail digital instrument cluster so will never consider other makes.

@@alexaescht OKthamks Alex - another brand to avoid - the con is that manufacturers are depending on the 80 percent or more uninformed or not mechanically savvy to sell of lot of inferior vehicles - for example they’re promoting the Jeep again and Chinese vehicles via polished ads that mislead people into thinking that the car must be good - marketing has a lot of power and so many Ford sponsored journos tell us the Ford Ranger is a good choice when we know it’s not - I think it’s only Toyota and Mazda left to choose from for the broader segments.
