Didn't fix bump steer. Class action now underway at Chamberlains Law firm Sydney. Register now to be involved.
it has a revised front suspension geometry to negate the bump steer. there was a bulletin out to fix current models some were lucky to get tires replaced under warranty
@@wax333 Doesn't fix the problem. You still get excessive tyre ware with the current wheel alignment geometry. The problem is the steering knuckle. Its a poor design and Isuzu know it. Don't see why they won't fix the problem instead of just putting a bandaid on it.
@@mattblomberg2709 probably because it's a facelift and the new model will be out soon. from isuzu's perspective, it wouldn't make economic sense to completely redesign the front suspension. if you are going to change the knuckle, everything leading up to it needs to be changed as well. through, if i were in charge of isuzu - i would have it done.
Nailed the video mate.
The surrounding area where the video was shot, Is great
This is my favorite truck
Out of interest, what would make you choose this over a Toyota HIlux/Tacoma or something?
So Isuzu listened to its customers…..no one asked for rear disc brakes or at least 600Nm of torque??? 🤦♂️
You're asking too much with 600Nm For the same generation car
Go to a diesel tune u’ll have 600nm. The engine is more relaxed compare to those bi’turbo engines.
Where did you receive your information from? Are you one of the makers of Isuzu dmax??
Nothing wrong with rear drums and you can get 600nm with a tune
@@jasonzhang4354 why doesn’t Isuzu offer this from the factory??
Like the look od the Isuzu Dmax. Better looking than a matchbox look on the other utes
Thanks for such a comprehensive review! Do we know if/when the update will flow through to the MU-X?
Asking same question
We now are having a class action about the tyre bump
It looks really good
i wont the usb c port in my current model . do we know if they buyable and installable for the older models? plug and play?
Have they fixed there wheel alignment issue???
Where is 360° camera system and 12V power socket in the loadbin?
The new Isuzu dmax with torque converter?
Needs more go go nm and kw
Won't be available in North America so big bummer. Still nice to know that there are other small trucks being built tho.
Yay, heated seats! Said no one in Australian summers...
When is fortuner updated version is coming ?
Do the front tyres still scrub out ??Has customer service improved.
my question as well, in south africa the non electric steering models shake of the bump steer.. shit to drive because of it.. looks like they have not listened
@@darrellmaartens6425 which bakkie would be a better option in your opinion?
@@RastaAfricanGentleman Toyota Bakkie
70s news reporter out strong again I see.
How about their customer service?
Have they fixed that?
Buy a second hand one with less than 150,000 kilometres.
Traction control much better now. Interior of Mazda BT 50 is better same running gear.
Not 'all' the complaints. One of the biggest complaints (excessive bump steer due steering knuckle design) has not been changed.
Read somewhere this was sorted out with 2024 onwards dmax/bt50
@@Tammy-xf4kz sorted by getting a wheel alignment...
Isuzu ahemmm thinks thats all thats needed.... apparently
@@thepuntersperspective 🤦 you'd expect them to change the knuckle design or something like that
@Tammy-xf4kz yep, wishful thinking I guess. I've been one of the lucky ones and took mine to a specialist in the first 1000km and I haven't had an issue with wear in about 20,000km. The specialist set the toe about half way between the 'old' and 'new' (which didn't exist then) Isuzu settings. Best $60 I spent! Lol
what an absolute joke.. gave mine back because of this (in South Africa we have hydraulic steering) and the steering wheel shakes on even the most even of roads
Manual option.?
I don't think isuzu is doing enough on the looks of the vehicle. THE LOOKS DO MATTER
Need a MU-X with BT-50 front end
@@Gdsamplify 😄
Wym this is the best looking Ute!
Drum brakes on the rear…. 🤔
Why does Isuzu give us ugly rims at first, then make corrections later?
They fixed that stupid predator mouth grill, nice one. On another note, the recent refresh to the Hilux makes the front grill/bumper look better too.
70k seriously , Izusu it's to expensive , thats my feed back . Ssanyong musso 40k save 30k 7 year warranty .
But it doesn’t have the reliability and all the features of the dmax
@@farmingsimulator8166 I bought a short wheel base altimate 5.1 metres in lenght due to city work , easier parking . 360 deg camera , heated and cooled seats , heated steering wheel , auto dim mirror , adjustable head lights from inside cab , tyre pressure monitoring , digital dash , more room inside than a dmax , 4x4 , auto diff lock . 2.2lt turbo , can't hear any road noise or engine sound . smooth as . and you get 7 years unlimited km warranty for 42k on the road . I had an RC colorado that was dmax rebadge before this one . Being a work ute , i don't need a ladder to get my gear out . iron man offer a factory lift kit that doesn't effect warranty . best ute i have ever owned so far so good . 30k cheaper . more featers than a dmax .
@farmingsimulator8166 there are better and cheaper options. Even the Mitsubishi Triton is cheaper and has more features.
From January 2025, it will cost about $85,000.
@@alexanderralph8341 My Ssanyong musso has way more features , ultimate for 42k drive away . 360 deg camera , vented seats cold and hot , heated stearing wheel . tyre pressure monitoring and more. .
This facelift should be done to MUX also
As long as manufacturers are not passing shared development savings on to the customer, I am not interested in any of these "collaborations". If VW is anything to go by, then they are saving up to US$1bn PER YEAR by partnering with Ford on the new Amarok, yet we as customers are not seeing that saving, which feels a bit like a ripoff. I don't like to be ripped off...
The new grille looks a bit like Subaru WRX..
❤❤
Do what I did buy the cheaper no frills version do a $1000 engine remap 600nm torque now engine is fantastic its how they should come from factory they would sell twice as many
We need a ranger raptor rival from isuzu
They did an attempt with the Isuzu AT35 if I am not mistaking
Still no 360 cameras ? How disappointing
Exactly mate but the muX has already. I wonder why they didn't update the dmax.
MU-X does not have 360 degree camera. I have a new 2024 LST, and the camera is pathetic.
Did Isuzu fix the uneven front tyre wear? Same underpowered engine, less than 500NM and no AWD option, no thanks.
Why any 4wd is sold with HT tyres😂🤦🏻 u pay that much for a ute thenu gottà straight away drop 2k for ATs
Need rear Discs
Having purchased an Isuzu in Mazda clothing in 2022, I would never buy another one again. Gutless, transamission is the worse than my old HQ Trimatic. Super intrusive autonomous breaking that has detected the armcove railing, Terrible build quality with plastic joins with sharp edges... The list goes on.
Bt 50?
If you took it for a test drive, then why did you buy it with all those factory faults?
@@outdoors5352 I didn't test drive it for a week
So small and narrow like other Thailand Utes. They need to make it wider and longer wheelbase with longer Ute bed and cab for Australia
Seems overpriced compared to competitors vs what it brings. A decent all rounder
Not worth the upgrade , stick with my 2022👍🍻
Overprized while less specs than the competition.
Repeat after me: eee-soo-zoo
Did they now made one that doesn't break in two 😂😂😂😂
OMG, rear drums! Still!! Flogging a dead horse Isuzu. Giant FAIL. It would of cost you a whole $200 to change I’m guessing. Just imagine what else you’ve skimped on.
Don’t waste your money it’s not a generational jump
😢 e- soo-zu!
More manuals. Hybrid and electric goes in the bin. Thanks.
Tune it u wont say that
No one told them the rear lights are ugly?
Hi mate! it´s not I-zuzu..It´s ISUZU..get it? So sad..bro!!
i still see them as a holden rodeo/colorado basically the same as they were 15 years ago with a few bits of tech thrown at them over time at least they weren't $70k back then
the duratrash colorado had 500nm from 2015 on even the triton is out doing them on torque now i'm stunned people still buy these overrated overpriced thai tractors
It is still ugly and no mention of a fix for the poor tyre life, have they changed the front stub axles?
Angry fish styling😢
Too much plastic..
Isuzu is always behind with technology to their vehicles.
Now they increased the price for the facelift... 😮
For a 3 liter engine still struggling with only 450 Nm torque. Toyota Hilux is already pulling with 550 Nm torgue 2.8 liter with their GR series.
Just get a $1200 tune mate. Simple.
Ffs, please if Isuzu wanted you to pronounce it the way you say it, then they would have spelt it “Izusu”….😂
A 4x4 with 100% on road tyre and zero offroad capability wasting the customers money someone that pays that amount for a ute wants a rugged tyre.
Isuzu are a joke. Massive bump steer issue
Underpowered, old tech and way over priced for a unit at the bottom of the bunch.
