    Thanks a lot for your work!

    • @OlhaBatchvarov

      If there is a desire, it is better to use a primer... I usually paint the wood and then use bitumen, shellac, osmo and so on on the painted part along with the whole hull...

    Ольга, добрый вечер!) Подскажите пожалуйста, а толщина реечек, которые вы используете в этом видео - 5 * 2 мм, или какая-то другая? Вы упоминаете, что используете не липу из набора, а реечки из хобби-шопа, мне кажется там миллиметра два в толщине есть точно. Я добираюсь до этой отметки в постройке своего Пегаса, и стало интересно, возможно тоже применю не наборные реечки, а из местного модельного магазина в Киеве. Заранее спасибо!)

      Я сейчас не могу померять точно, так как нахожусь в отпуске, но на глаз рейки бьІли 1,5 мм. В магазине корабел вьІ можете найти рейки разной шириьІ от 1 мм толщиной, у них даже есть благороднЬІе породьІ дерева, такие как груша, черньІй граб, орех само собой...

    Hi Olha, just a tip, if you soak your wood in house hold ammonia for a few hours the wood can be bent easily without the use of an iron, if I have a bend that is very sharp I will soak for 24 hours. I have read that Chris Craft used this technique on their boats and the benefit of the mahogany that they used (it looks very light brown before the ammonia) would turn a beautiful red.

      @OlhaBatchvarov  Год назад

      Thank you very much!
      I have to try this, maybe on the next model)))
      I usually just boil the planks, they then dry instantly while hot and can be easily bent (you can literally twist a walnut plank into a knot and it won't break).
      But I prefer a soldering iron, because it also speeds up the curing of the PVA glue. That is, it bends the board and at the same time it is instantly glued and I reduce the clamping time...

      @richb419 Год назад

      @@OlhaBatchvarov hi I just drill a 1/4 inch hole in the gallon bottle cap and just slide the wood into the hole don't normally need to bend more than a few inches.

    Подскажите, какой шпаклевкой вы пользуетесь?

      Ето бЬІла универсальная шпаклевка, в субтитпах предЬІдущего вЬІпуска я писала какая именно. Но подойднет и финишная двукомпонентная для машин... Просто по дереву - она отлущивается вместе со вторЬІм слоем планок.

    Nice work. I would suggest using wooden dowel instead of cocktail sticks as I have building covered bridges as it will be less materials and uniform round sizes and will be closer to scale.

      Thank you very much!
      Yes, I make such dowels for scratch build models with a diameter from 0.5 mm (0,02 inch). But on this model I use the simplest and most accessible materials for beginners.

    Ольга хотел Вас спросить, не слишком ли высоко бархоут у окончания кормы, не вызовет ли это проблем с установкой боковых окон и их декора? Может это различия между Pegasus и Fly , или это Вы так задумали заранеё?

      Ето по чертежу так! Я перенесла верхнюю кромку бархоутов на корпус прежде чем их устанавливать. Будем верить сто у проищводителя чертеж и детали совпадают))) так как инструкция заканчивается на обшивке корпуса)))

    what nails/pins are you using? bigger than standard kit pins

    • @OlhaBatchvarov
      @OlhaBatchvarov  Год назад +1

      It's the same size as the kits, I'm just shooting with a macro lens))) But you can also buy them separately - they're regular 1/2 inch sewing pins...
