This is a cute kiddie project. I can also see the glow-in-the-dark vinyl templates cut into Christmas trees, snowflakes, ornaments and Santas on Christmas fabric. Also any kid who has any kind of play tent or one who goes camping would like a glow-in-the-dark quilt.
@@seweasybysandy Yes, that was running through my mind when I saw the thread. And so my education continues. It's great learning about new ideas and things and ways to do things. I'm 73 years old and yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks. haha
@@seweasybysandy especially when you young ones give me a push into the 21st Century!!!! My daughters are your age and they are always keeping me up to date. hehe
you need a stabilizer (for machine embroidery) ironed on your fabric. It makes all your machines designs lay flat and no puckering. Keeps all your stitches even.( even if they aren't machine embroidery) Also if you wash the finish off your new fabric, it will act better with all the glow-in-the-dark paint/pens/thread. (fabric finish and add-ons, don't always work well with each other.)
Pin your material to a piece of paper to sew on a single layer without the thread tension from gathering it. The paper can be torn off the material later, useing a sharp needle to break the paper along the stirching line to remove works well to.
This would be a fantastic technique to use on costumes or handmade trick or treating bags. Heck, anything you might wear/use/see at night (picturing decorative garlands on a porch, decals on a bike helmet, small patches on coats, etc)
Very cute table runner. I like that you did something for Halloween even though you don’t celebrate it where you live. I live in Canada so it’s a big deal here. Did you get a new sewing machine? I really like your new sewing table. I watched all your old videos and I noticed that you are using a wool ironing mat now, aren’t they great? I have one too and bring it to my quilting bees for the other ladies to use.
Hi, it's the same sewing machine, I just used to use it without the cover around the arm and I've found that part since so now it's complete hehehe. I like my new sewing table very much! Particularly when I want to cut fabric, so comfortable! Yes, using a wool ironing mat makes such a big difference in how I press, I love it!
It's a classic going through a glow up. Literally! 😂
I used glow in the dark thread for a Harry Potter notebook cover & the little loved it!!
uhhh, I bet that worked so well!😀

That is such a great idea 😊
Very cute! I love that you only used Halloween colors, not prints, as most of us have those in our stash. Thanks!!!
Thank you 😊 I think ot would look too busy with prints so I kept it simple.
Enjoy your excitement and work.
Thank you 🥰
I always am surprised with the things you find. Your quilt turned out great. That glow in the dark thread is interesting.
Hi. Thank you! I'm sure the thread has much more potential than what I ended up using it for, I can't wait to try more things.

You are so cute ,
Amazing 🤩
Thank you 🥰
So cute! Do you fan out those bulky seams?
Thank you. I do, yes.
You should have used stabilizer with the thread and fancy stitches.
You have a beautiful accent. Where do you live?
Thank you, I live in Portugal. Have a great day!
@@seweasybysandyI detected a Portuguese accent mixed with French. I thought you lived in Quebec.
Great idea…I must try the glow in the dark irons.
