I believe the song was so short, because this is Selena’s first real Spanish project, so it was more of a tease. She’s tried to do Spanish songs before with the versions of her older songs, but they weren’t really good to be honest. She is half Mexican but she was not raised speaking fluent Spanish, but she’s always said her roots are super important to her and that she’s wanted to tap into that. So I think she’s trying to create that demand from her international audience, there’s rumors of a full Spanish album from her coming soon. Maybe even next month, type of soon. That’s why I think the song was super short and didn’t really build up like how you thought it was going too! Because if there is an album this is probably going to be the intro to the album. Also coming from a Latina, her Spanish has improved significantly regarding the pronunciation. So this was very exciting to have from her 😭

Being a native Spanish speaker (Mexican) I can say that his Spanish is very good and is understood perfectly. I don't know why there are people who say it is not understood (maybe they are haters). As there is a world where Spanish is spoken in more than 20 countries, there are many accents of the language. So here Selena Gomez what she did was use a neutral Spanish for everyone. My thought. Selena is in her old house where
she spent a lot of time with Justin. According
to what Justin said in an old interview, him
and Selena spent a lot of time living together
at one point that it was like they were a
married couple. In the video 0:19, Selena
wakes up and next to her there's an empty
spot. The pillow looks like someone used
to sleep there (Justin). Then at 0:28, the
pillow fills up because no one sleeps there
anymore. At 1:32, Selena is in a storage room
with representations of old magazines(1:47),
records, and more. Plus, at 1:36, you can see
what might symbolize Justin's guitare. At
1:46, there's a magazine that looks like Selena
and Demi (remember the drama about Demi's
finsta?). At 1:58, she gets rid of those items
and at 2:41 Selena leaves the house and the
house is empty. In real life, Selena sold one
of her houses and bought a new one. There's
a lot more but overall I think it's about Selena
gracefully moving on from her past. PS, I'm not
saying I'm correct. This is just a thought.
