There is so many things wrong with this video. No new parts. The bearings in the 3 phase motor... just replace them.. but then dont hammer on the outside races. You can HEAR how bad those bearings are now when they powered up the motor.
Nothing was replaced, nothing was refurbished. The teflon tape was backwards in half the shots, then there was teflon put onto the clamp nuts for the air lines.. they dont even hold air pressure. This was... terrible. The motor sounds horrific. The sounds it was making are the sounds you hear when you should be replacing the bearings PROPERLY. Yea, this was terrible. They didn't tighten the belts. The preload adjustment on the compressor bearings... which were assembled dry..... no overpressure valve... reciever not tested... the list goes on. I wouldn't have this thing within 100 meters of me.
I love when they paint bolt threads or when they put too much teflon tape and backwards ahhahahaha so beautiful.

ボルトの締め方が素人。部品洗浄不十分。ピストンにシリンダーを入れる時、シリンダー内側に潤滑油を塗布して欲しかった。
最低限の部品交換は必要。
モーターのベアリング洗浄後、回転させガタツキを何故、確認しない⁉️
モーターの電源コード通す穴に保護のゴムブッシュは付けない⁉️
モーターのベアリング駄目じゃん。
Falta muito detalhe, não limpou os pistão, não trocou os anéis, não bruniu as camisas, não limpou( lixou) a ponta do eixo onde coloca a polia( volante), não lubrifica as camisas para montagem, não gostei nota 4
حتی بیرینگهای مخروطی دوسر شافت عوض نشدند،یاتاقانها تعویض نشد،ودرکل همه راشست ومجدداََ مونتاژ کرد وفقط شد کمپرسور رنگارنگ 🤔🤔🤔
I have to disagree here - restoration means to restore back to new, NOT just strip down, paint everything then rebuild as a lot of these "Full restorations" do. This has done absolutely nothing except make it look pretty. I saw the cylinders were still rusty, the crank journal was rusty, same bearings re-used, same piston rings re-used, pistons rusty - in fact nothing was restored except the gaskets and changed the oil. For what good this has done there was no need to strip it down, he could have just painted it assembled.

@@larryclifford8928 He's totally right, this did more harm than good, not only they didnt replace anything, but painted on the races, studs and the bore too! They replaced 1 seal, but then they use that gasket material that is used to make shoe soles and will start to leak in a couple of weeks use.🤣 Was a good vid though.

@@interesting7906 I’ve seen dry engines run before. So much damage is done until the oil reaches each moving part. Assembly lube is very important. I give the guy credit for getting to run.
Looks like one of those shops in India or Pakistan. Painted all the surfaces that should not be painted. Didn't ever rebuild the valves. In the old days we used those compressors in hospitals. We would tear them down every six months. Once you clean them up if the springs are still good you can flip the valve plate over and use them again. We would replace rings and valve assemblies annually. I might use that gasket material on a LP steam line but not on a compressor.
No washer on wheel axle, split pin not properly fitted. Air receiver welded and not pressure tested (or safety valve). But the biggest sin is no gland fitting on the motor or electrical boxes! 3 phase wiring going through a hole with sharp metal edges. A air compressor on wheels will shake a lot and it will not take long to ware through the insulation and kill soneone!!!! bad news

Why not paint it better when all that effort is made?
The motor sounded really bad, or what was that noise when only the motor was spinning?
Would be nice with a pressure test of tank, we don't know how rusty the tank is, or if the safety valve even works.
And last, it's going to overheat because no fan for cooling the cylinders.

What I would call 'asian redneck' -style. Wearing dress shoes while spray painting, the dog getting high on paint fumes, and nothing other than a bad paint job was done to the compressor which will work just as good or bad as it was before. 🤣

Total botch, sealing surfaces painted over, old piston rings left in, electrical connections swapped, screw connections not tightened properly, and above all, cuts on the boiler that were too deep when removing the carrier plate. Useless work and a waste of time.
Why even start it. No pre lube on ANYTHING. No torc wrench on the cylinders or piston rod bolts.
Worse than a "sloppy so called restoration" is the assembly procedures. Who in their right minds pounds on bearing using the outer race over a shaft. That is OK if you are putting them in a recess but totally wrong for installation on a shaft. I never saw the tank being pressure tested. If it was really rusty on the inside it might fail under pressure. Compressed air is much more dangerous when it fails as compared to a hydro test.

Didn’t replace/restore anything other than a good clean up really. To the inexperienced eye might look nice, to anyone that actually repairs stuff they see right thru this.
And why do a lot of these restoration channels paint stuff to look like kids toys using bright as colors? Put a nice industrial/machine tool grey/silver on it and it’ll present much better IMHO at least.
But seeing as he was able to take it apart correctly and assemble properly, for the most part, I’m sure he knows enough how to actually restore it properly if he wanted to and it wasn’t just for a video. So I’ll give it a B+. Better than the average person would probably do not excellent work though! 🤷🏻♂️
Wasn't even a good cleanup! Very sloppy job all around. Made it look like a toy with all those silly colours! And didn't show in the end that it even filled with air!
This not a restoration, just a clean up and paint job.
The biggest mistake is no inspection or testing of pressure vessel and associated pressure relief valve. If no valve fitted as original a suitable valve should have been installed. Very poor show.

Questa NON È un revisione! È solo un restauro estetico, anche venuto male visto la qualità schifosa della verniciatura, nella cura dei particolari e nell'uso di tecniche per ottenere un risultato decente.
Il compressore è stato rimontato così com'era senza un controllo accurato delle parti soggette ad usura e la pulizzia delle parti interne è stata molto carente. Il motore elettrico è "l'apoteosi della vergogna": i cuscinetti non sono stati controllati, dovevano essere sostituiti; infatti quando hanno provato il motore (ovviamente dopo il cosiddetto "restauto"😩) si è sentito il rumore tipico di cuscinetti ormai con la vita finita☠. Non aggiungo altro. VERY BAD!

No need to bother when you are going to put the bearings back together with paint all over the races and are not going to clean gasket surfaces from paint before assembly. It may work for a while but has been life limited by poor assembly.
that motor sounds not happy, probably the way the bearings were installed. I would of tapped them down on the center race not the ou side of the bearing. it sounds like the bearings are not seated

Sure... just take everything apart, wash it in diesel, then spray it all as colorful as possible and put it back together. It doesn't matter that the rusty cylinders and old rings remain, the more colors, the merrier.... Videos are really made by everyone who has a hole in their ass. :))
That was total waist of work you did, this "short fix" will not last, with this kind of work you loos followers..........

Hmm.. @1:43:30 the sound of chipped bearings, yay.. Maybe @1:31:25 you could have reinstalled them without hammering the outer race around.. use a tube on the inner race and a press.. I'm sure you could make a press with the stuff you find.

You didn't install washer on wheels, the stopper will broken.
Machined surface such as cylinder or threads, shall not be paint to avoid leak failure. and pets should keep clear out of the factory while painting, and welding should keep clean, to be free of dirts,dusts and paint, or weldings to be done before painting, and lubricants as grease should apply during pulley and shaft assembly.
This is a very bad way to mount the ball bearings on the rotor. Il is needed to apply the force on the inner, but NOT on the outer. Now the ball bearings are out of order and noisy as the test shows. It need to be remplace ball bearings for a long service.

Has anyone seen this damage on the tank when they cut off the base and why didn't they sand it and check the pressure? Why weren't new pistons and rings installed, no one retracted the cylinders, and the old corroded valves are a joke!!!

Totally pointless "Re-build" I stopped watching at the so called " cleaning" process. Them gave it a thumbs down, which is probably the first one in two years of avidly watching RUclips for at least four hours a day seven days a week.

So a full restoration is stripping, cleaning, let someone who is color blind choose the color scheme and paint it, then put it back together again with all the same worn out parts and not pressure testing the tank.

Painting over those surfaces was a pretty rookie looking thing to do, as was using a. claw hammer to cut that gasket material.
Using a hammer to cut gaskets is not a novice way to do it. I've watched many mechanics in business for decades use this technique. It's actually a pro move. He should have cut all the way through the gasket with the hammer, and then he would have not needed the scissors for the cylinder bore. A ball pein hammer is more effective, and he should have spread the RTV in the middle of the gasket, not the inside edge.
Welding over paint is not a good practice. The welding should have been done before the painting, then the welds wont rust as quickly.
