I’m 31 years old. Watching a much younger girl dealing with this with so much courage, positivity and humour inspires me so much. I have epilepsy and a number of other neurological problems, I’ve been told I have a tic disorder I am struggling a fair bit. I had to give up career as a youth drug and alcohol counsellor, which I loved. I feel so stuck now. I wish I could talk to people who get it. wenders As I do myself have a tic disorder (only motor tics no vocal tics at the moment) I can say that GETTING to sleep is very painful, but when your actually asleep you do not tic, that’s why I try and go to sleep when I’m really tired so I go to sleep fast, I also don’t tic when I’m doing sport or am focusing on subjects at school
It can be. I've had issues with sleep since I was a kid, but like Gaming Ender Dragon221 said it's easier to deal with if you're very tired when you go to bed. Contrary to that though, you can definately have tics while you're asleep. My girlfriend would sleep with her head on my arm and she told me at some point that I would wake her up in the middle of the night because I had a shoulder tic that made my arm move a lot.

I recently found out about tourettes because of a vid on youtube where the girl had a severe case of it.. it made me so sad and she went under surgery and im glad it helped her. I guess im glad that they're other people with it that can love that part of themselves and it hasnt progressed to a even worst state.
