Seriously the girl who has the hat on, her mom was the worst. Her arm was broken and she was shaking it and telling her not to make a fuss. Her mom doesn't deserve her.
I think she said step-mom. But that is still straight up abuse.

The more I hear about Sweet Anita’s background, the angrier I get. This woman has faced SO much abuse. I’m so happy she’s in a better situation.
to add to her challenging past, she actually had a banana tick that people literally used on purpose. She actually choked up blood once because she couldn't stop
Oh yeah the banana tic, I remember watching one of her streams once and everyone in chat just spammed the word banana and she chocked up blood and almost cried

"Does Tourette's interefere with relationships?"
As a person with Tourette Syndrome, ABSOLUTELY. I hade a girlfriend who had Tourette's as well and we could never spend any time with each other because we would always set each other off. She was a great partner.
I relate to that me and my boyfriend both have tourettes and we can hardly ever be together
I was diagnosed with tourettes when i was really young. The way they described the feeling of having a tic is spot on. I have a tic where i shake my hand or head. Its like a tingly feeling in my chest that wont stop until i do it. The longer i dont the stronger the feeling gets
I get feelings like that in different parts of my body where its almost painful to not move. I dont think it's tourettes in my case though. Its like the explanation on restless legs, but I get it in different spots sometimes but mainly my legs. I twitch my knee muscles in and have to kinda pull other muscles.
@@sarahdalley2614 I get that in my legs and my hands too

I was hospitalized at a psych ward with a girl with Tourettes and one of her tics was smacking stuff. My favorite memory of the place is probably when I was peacefully eating lunch in the cafeteria and she sat next to me, then smacked me on the arm with a banana. My big sister has tourettes and i seeing the fear when Anita was talking about being near cliffs with friends really hit home because Dea has pushed me down the stairs and punched me and is always so upset, even though we know it isn't her fault. I'm really glad this episode showed a more realistic side to the syndrome, rather than the oddly hyped up version of coprolalia.
I knew a guy who has the "stereotypical" coprolalia, and I also have Tourettes, so when the two of us together is quite the show in public.
You're so understanding! I don't have tourettes and I'm not trying to be rude but The cliff conversation really makes me scared. I know it differs from person to person but Is that happening rare? I know they have no control but it seems really scary to me.
@@prim_manga9885 Not many people have it that bad. The best thing is just to keep the distance, but never bring it up if you're in that scenario. eg, if you're at a cliff don't say "Don't push me" even as a joke, or anything like that in different situations. Or they will. It's an intrusive thought, and they're emotion based. If they get more built up anxiety about it, they are more likely to do it. Just

"I'm not defined by the things I didn't choose about myself. I'm defined by how I choose to handle my challenges." Simple but encouraging quote, especially given the severity of the speaker's condition. At times I have been tempted to reduce everything about how I interact with people based on some of my peculiarities, but this quote has stuck with me and helped me to grow outside the box I I was putting myself in. Thanks.
I feel so bad for anita. Getting your broken arm shook by your parents to check if it's broken. It's absolutely sickening.
Yeah, I feel so bad. It even made a crunch sound and she couldnt show that shes hurt because shes gonna be scolded. They also threatened to take her tea (i think that means food and stuff). Its disgusting how parents like these exists. And so what if shes attention seeking, first of all, you cant assume that. And second, if she is, that means you arent giving her the attention she needs.
@Megan Houghton oh thank you! That makes sense.
And then getting fucking nagged at whilst not being able to be express your pain of a broken arm, expecting to be quiet. What the fuck. That pisses me off.

I would enjoy an "I spent a day with people with auditory hallucinations" video. I feel it would be an informative video, since I was recently diagnosed with auditory hallucinations. They suck - hearing disembodied things where you can't find the source makes you paranoid and checking your surroundings.
Interestingly enough, auditory hallucinations don't have to be related to schizophrenia. PTSD, depression, and anxiety (which I also have, mind you) can also play a factor.
I remember they started out of the blue and I was scared - December 17, 2021. Been dealing with them ever since, even with my new medicine.
Hi friend. I also have a hallucinatory disorder (HPPD) and experience visual hallucinations 24/7 with occasional auditory hallucinations. I’ve lived with it for 5 years (it was drug induced back in May 2017) and understand what it feels like. If you need someone to talk to that knows what you’re going through I’m more than happy to share what’s helped me. Cheers :)
I would also like to see a video of that or just hallucinations in general because I've also struggle with hallucinations litterly at least one for every 5 senses
May I ask what drug induced this? I have a couple of guesses but I'm curious to which it actually was..
I don't have auditory hallucinations, but sometimes I hear random humming/ticking/murmuring and it's horrible, it's so disorienting, I can't imagine what its like when they are louder and more consistent.
Very validating. My breathing tics are so bad that I went to the hospital just so they could put me to sleep to give my body a break. I begged for sleep. My daily tics are annoying and I get made fun of by people in school. Just today people were airdropping pictures to me and trying to bother me and I wanted to just sink into the floor at that moment. The physiological effects this part of my life has had in me has been severe, and I also have imposter syndrome so when my tics are less bad I’m thinking, “There’s no way I have it, I’m being dramatic and I’m just a lazy slacker”. When they are bad any doubt in my mind is silenced but it is a constant struggle and the road to even get my own parents to believe me has been rough. I had to fight to go to the doctor to get it checked out bc my parents were really against it but now many situations in my past have been validated and I can live my life better, at least on the social end, the tics are still annoying and painful AF
I am so so sorry. That teasing and bullying sounds terrible on top of the medical things.. I have autism spectrum disorder and I have been plenty bullied for the way I am. It is a terrible feeling, but at least we allies got eachothers backs 🫡
Don't worry butterfly, one day we will come out of European Western made up civilization and we can get back to reality that God created our bodies and minds to be so diverse. We literally have natural electricity that comes from the universe and runs through our bodies just to keep us alive, so sometimes it causes malfunctions within the neurological system and we get gifts like you. 😍🙏🏾
“I wont diagnose you so you don’t get bullied” like sir thats like saying “ I won’t diagnose you with depression because I don’t want you to get sad” 😭😂
My mom refusing to take me seriously when I say I'm depressed and that I should probably go get diagnose so I can get meds: (I got diagnosed thank God) also she blamed my friend for making think I was depressed because she was so it was a difficult.
@@fuav66777j Did you know it's possible to go through life without being an asshole to other people for no reason? You should try it sometime!
Well more like I don't want to diagnose you with depression because you might be disowned (that happens)
So I guess he was just trying to suggest a treatment anonymously
@@gas8257 yep, because you calling me an asshole is so nice! But, I wouldn’t expect someone like you to take your own advice. And that’s mostly because of your “hero” attitude. You think you’re always so great because you tell of the people who you think are “bad”, but the only reason you do that is so you can get attention from the other people who think of you as some “hero”. And that stems from you being a Narcissistic person, because you can’t get your attention. So I would at least try to be a little less hypocritical.

Since we're all sharing here, I also have Tourettes. At one point in my life I was working for a family business under the promise that i would get an apprenticeship for hvac.
I was onsite cutting pipe on one side of a large warehouse, while a coworker was working on the opposite side I don't know how he could hear me but apparently my tics set him off because he stormed all the way across the warehouse while i was running the pipe threader (very loud machine) and he proceeded to yell at me for making the annoying noises and for obsessively clearing my throat and blowing my nose among other things. I didn't feel like going into a huge explanation for why i do the things i do because we were both on the clock my lack of an explanation ended up with me being taken aside by a supervisor who asked me to go somewhere else to do what i was doing so as not to annoy coworker. Anyway i'm used to these types of incidents I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but it ended up being used in a power play by a rival supervisor who was nearby who tried to reframe the incident as me being punished by the other supervisor. So I was hauled into the office with the owner, and supervisor 1 and 2 who argued amongst themselves about how i was treated on the worksite all for the purpose of getting supervisor 1 fired or disciplined or something. The owner knew I had Tourettes previously, so the question ended up being, did supervisor 1 harass you for having this problem, and I said no he was just trying to find a compromise it was "coworker" who was harassing me. I didn't like that I was being played like a political pawn It wasn't long after that I was laid off because of low work, and I was genuinely glad that I was.

Samuel and Anita are basically my idols, not because I have tourettes, but I learned alot on how tourettes can mentally and physically affect people, and they are literally my inspiration as they literally define that even if you are made fun of or degraded, humiliated, you can just ignore that and focus more on the brighter side of your life.

i cant believe she hasn't been cancelled for the DID thing
I can genuinely see her doing this as a way to excuse her foul language.
“Everyone gets challenges, and I am not defined by the fact I am facing it, but how I handle it” that is such an incredible and powerful statement. I am going to start repeating this to myself every morning
sweet anita. what an amazing thing to say, this should be a quote in one of those inspirational quote books.. "i see it as my challenge, everybody has their challenges. and im not defined by the fact i facing it, im defined by how i handle it". i was so saddened to hear of how she was treated as a child too. shes a treasure. may the LORD bless you all
SHE SHOOK HER BROKEN ARM MY GOD!!
I was furious when I watched that part. I had no idea actual stepmothers could be THAT terrible wth
I was so angry when I heard that!
I was really angry with that women, I mean, at what point do you decide that it is a good idea to CRUNCH THE BROKEN ARM OF A LITTLE GIRL?!
Fuck, just keep that woman away from childrens and teenagers for the rest of her life.
That broke my heart....
Yea like omg even if you think the kid is faking you don’t just shake their arm first
Kids: *bullies samuel*
Samuel: I have tourette's
Kids: understandable have a nice day
@insomiablaze 1 not really. bullies like to pick on anyone whos different even if ur not doing it for attention
insomiablaze 1 that’s not how it works
@insomiablaze 1 that's bc you're a good person you think like that but in reality bullies are just looking for someone to take their frustrations out on. They don't care about your struggles
Some of y’all really don’t get the meme (pewds) reference and it shows...
@insomiablaze 1 I was bullied for things caused by my scoliosis when I was at school, so that's more common than you would believe :/
im diagnosed with tics, thank you for covering this topic so respectfully and spreading awareness! great job anthony!
I love this girl Anita! Even going through a lot, she has such a positive aspect of life and her situation! automatically a fan of her now!
How the one girl was treated as a kid, how she was yelled at and told off for it and basically abused explains more clearly why she always feels obligated to apologise, even though she doesn't have to.
anita's pretty sweet. check out her twitch highlights channel xD
I’m sure a lot of people will disagree with this, but I don’t really see it as a bad thing that she apologizes for her tics. I understand that she can’t control it, but like she said, she’s just expressing that she isn’t trying to interrupt or be rude.
@@moonshot9056 im american but i do this a lot haha
HONESTLY as a person with Tourette’s I clicked on this video already rolling my eyes expecting to see three people screaming obscenities but was pleasantly surprised to see the average person with Tourette’s. The super aggressive forms of Tourette’s is what I think people mostly think of and these three interviewees were a perfect example of what we’re like. Thanks Anthony!!
yes! when I was a kid, that’s all I’d ever seen of TS. I thought I didn’t properly have it because I didn’t curse all the time
My dad has it and didn’t know what it was far until he was in college bc he just has muscle spasms in his arms and twitches his head, but since it was physical and they had only heard of it being verbal and over the top he had no clue
My sister actually has pretty bad Tourettes (I have minor Tourettes). I actually wanted to see if I could find someone who would be similar to her in which maybe she could gain some inspiration, learn from, or relate to. Because she really struggles to gain an understanding of herself to others, and even I can't help, because mine are so different to hers.
But I do agree, the video was very pleasant and I was happy to find that there were so many normal people just living their best life with Tourettes. I'm sharing the video and hopefully she won't feel so restricted within the world.
It's too bad Ethan from H3H3 doesn't talk about his Tourette's more, his is so mild probably a lot of people wouldn't even clock it
Anthony is great at being thorough and genuine with this series! Shining an optimistic and realistic light on all these topics. It's very lovely.
She's such an inspiration and she gives me hope. She makes me want to get up and try to tackle life again 🌈🦄❤️
Just found out about this channel, i'm glad you are doing your own thing after smosh. Content is terrific.
My dads friend has tourettes and he has a random screaming tick and he was at his mothers funeral and had to leave bc he was so stressed he was screaming the entire funeral it was really sad to see
Poor man. :,(
My son has a tic that sounds like screeching. Everyone we know personally is aware of it though so I'm pretty sure even if it were a funeral it wouldn't get to anyone. They'd all know and understand. I realize this is NOT the case for every family though and definitely not the case for every person with TS. I'm sorry he had to leave. Poor guy.
🥺
I have a licking tick, on my mouth, and a weird vocal buzzing tic
: (
Trisha Paytas:
" *Hippity Hoppity, your disorder is my property* "
min suga I WAS LITERALLY ABOUT TO COMMENT ABOUT THIS. I really fucking hope she doesn't take this one too-
I laughed to fcking hard at this xD and i've been trying to ignore anything to do with that hobbit.
She's watching this and making *mental* notes right now.
@@Lilyium tho she wont actually use that information lmao
Had to like it was at 999 lol
Thank you for educating me more on tourette's. Great interviews, strong people to survive and live with this thing . I have known many in my life but nobody close , this has helped me learn more about this condition .
As a person that tics, I really appreciated this video. Anita for sure needs more love and support because of her past, I feel like getting mad at someone because of involuntary movements (or just something they can't control in general), is harsher than it can even be described. We should definitely try and recognize people like this more often.
"why are you doing that" "I'm like, 'i dunno, I'm dancing' " LOL

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING- SHE ALWAYS DOES WHATEVER ANTHONY PUTS OUT IN HIS NEW VIDEOS
wow the line from Anita about not being defined by what you didn't choose but by how you choose to handle your given struggle, that hit hard!
I feel so bad for those poor people having a condition like this but so proud of them for pushing through! Absolutely fantastic people there.
I feel so sorry for Anita, abusive parents, no diagnosis for 26 years, getting beat up to the point of unconsciousness and people trying to cancel her for something she literally can't control. She's a very strong person
I wonder if these are the cause for that she has tics more often. I mean, it looks like a pattern. Poor sweet girl :c
@@alexaczigany9470 You are right people need to understand that mistakes happens and it not even her fault
She’s amazing to be honest
@@alexaczigany9470 I mean in a way as as Anita has stated stress can cause tics to be more aggressive.
Plus stalkers
i feel incredibly bad for the girl with the hat but she’s amazingly strong i love her
she seems like such a sweetie :(
Which one?
I know! She was so severely bullied and people take her tics out of context. It’s not something you can control and she just unfortunately has a lot of tics that cause her to say curse words or “be mean/rude.” She is so so sweet. It has to be very frustrating at times since it clearly makes her life difficult, but she IS so amazingly strong!
She is a streamer and RUclipsr named SweetAnita
EDIT: I’m talking about the one with the Koala hat thing.
She has a twitch @sweetanita
My parents and I believe that I have a mild form of Tourette Syndrome. It was nice to hear people talk about what it feels like and I was able to compare. Great video Anthony!
As a person with Tourette’s, I appreciate this video. It brings a lot more awareness.
Next Trisha Paytas video title
"I have tourettes"
Why? I mean that seems like a pretty Trish thing to do but I'm real behind on the Trish gossip 😂
Hahaha I love this 😂❤️
@@mars7612 - She does that with pretty much every marginalized group or condition that gains a bit of awareness. Recent examples include her coming out as a transgender man, and as someone who suffers from dissociative identity disorder.
She already did this
Hi my name's davy can i have a link to the vid?
Dear, Anthony.
Would you be able to do spending a day with psychopaths? I'm a diagnosed psychopath, but people think I'm going to kill anyone who makes me mad or whatever. Not all of us psychopaths are like that. Actually, the majority of us just want to go on with our day to day lives.
You don't have to do that video, but it would really help people see past the murderous stereotype that we seem to have.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Froggy Chair.
Oh, I have the same PD.
do u mean aspd? u can't be diagnosed as a psychopath.
guertena psychopathy and sociopathy both fall under ASPD
I would really like to learn about that.
Yeah it would be interesting to hear more about what it's really like
I love how respectful he is. Whenever they curse or anything he ignores it so they dont feel disrespectful
One of my siblings have tourettes and its so strange to me so being able to watch these sort of videos really help me know more so thanks :)
It’s so adorable how they had her on a tv but still set her up in a chair
Her channel is a lot of fun
Yeah she was cute!

OMG.
MUSIC! I'm so glad she mentioned that music helps settle tics down - my son is a drummer now and has to have his drumsticks with him all the time, so he can drum on his knees. He also sometimes sits with his guitar when he's watching tv to help them. It's so miserable when you get anxious/nervous/stressed - he has a pinky toe tic that makes his pinky so sore when it's bad, and a few others like that.. Heartbreaking to watch your child go through that.
Loving your channel! Anita is adorable. I feel so bad at how awful her peers treated her at such a young age.
“I spent a day with people who have schizophrenia” we don’t get much support anywhere and we need to change it so people aren’t so afraid of us
Wasnt there one already?
My teacher has taught our class about schizophrenia. She’s really helped us understand it! ❤️
Completely agree with the stigmatism. I have worked with many schizophrenic and schizoaffective patients. They are genuinely so misunderstood and feared for NO reason.
Your Own Mom no not yet

Sweet Anita is seriously the best, sadly, she's being threatened once more by a stalker who's been at it for months. He even violated her restraining order against him and the uk police are basically blaming her for being a streamer instead of offering her proper protection. He already assaulted her and it looks like they're waiting for a second assault to act on it. Disgusting.
What's up with police not doing their jobs? I get that it can get annoying sometimes but why did they take on that job in the first place if they weren't up to the task.
@@Martin-yh7vi this is actually one of the big reasons behind the American riots right now, A black man was found hanging in a noose in manhattan park so they immediately ruled it a suicide even though there was little evidence for it being suicide and substantial evidence for it being murder, here's an article about it.
nypost.com/2020/06/16/death-of-black-man-found-hanging-in-nyc-park-ruled-a-suicide/
Well what are the police supposed to do? Devote an entire division just for some streamer? You putting yourself on a public spotlight is not helping either.
It's her job though?
@@camposjesus3725 the fact that they are waiting for the second assault and not acting on the first assault is what's disgusting.
This was a great overview of the condition and giving a voice to people who have it. I don't have TS but I have dystonia, which is a neuromuscular disease, so half my body moves on its own, which is kind of similar. And it's the same feeling. You don't understand unless you've felt it.
Hey Anthony, as someone with Tourettes i appreciate the respect you showed our disorder with the questions. Thanks
why is no one talking about how she said "kill the jews" and the n-word. imagine how she must've felt, the amount of guilt
she has other tics that are like video game character's lines, she just mimicks them after being exposed to them and it becomes a tic. so many people instigated her, harassed her to say those things. they exploited someone with a neurological disorder for their own amusement. she was so incredibly distressed that she wasn't even able to call her dad back. he's black and she was terrified that her tic was gonna hurt him, even though she is half-black herself. imagine that plus all of the abuse from her mother figure, people from school. all of it she had to carry on her back for all these years.
i don't understand people that criticize her without looking at the full picture. just give the poor girl a break. she's funny, talented, entertaining, she's so much more than her disorder.
