Last season, Inter played really well against both finalists. Specially against Liverpool in the first leg. They didn't deserve to lose, Inzaghi bypassed Klopp's gegenpressing consistently. Inzaghi is an excellent tactician, and Inter's players are excellent. City looks superior but at this level there is always a room for surprise
I believe we were good against Madrid those past couple season too but was just unlucky, the same against Bayern, same against Liverpool. I would not be surprised if Skriniar starts in defence over Darmian because he is the best 1v1 defender in Europe, atleast in my book. I don't think Pep would expect that one.😉
@@sluggyranks9592 Skriniar is not fit to play a UCL final, too much inactivity. Plus Darmian is better at build up, which will be needed badly in this particular match.
Not considering the last game because it was played quite entirely with bench players, Inter in these last years had usually played very well against Napoli, which i think has the most similar playing style to City, at least in Italy. An underestimated feature of Inzaghi in my opinion it's how he sligthly adapt it's pressing against every opponent despite using the same principle and tactics for the team, especially in offense. Let's hope for a balanced game against very different teams
I agree. I should have pointed it out but something interesting was how good their results against Napoli and Barca were, two teams who play very similar to City
@@SpreadSheetSoccer good point. One of the best matches of the year actually was Inter - Napoli 1-0 in January. Inter dominated much more than the score says. Fantastic defense, Acerbi and Darmian canceled Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia
not really, napoli had more substitutes on the field by game end and during most of the second half, inter had more starters than napoli on the pitch while napoli was winning and won the game with its subs vs inter starters . your comment is a bit of a half truth border-lining on rationalization
@@gerryc2851 In a game where they were not focused at all due to the cup final and when the starters came in the game changed, in a situation already compromised by the red card in the first half. I'm not saying Inter is a better team than Napoli, but i think they can play a type of football that surely make for a team like Barça/Napoli and maybe City difficult to play
Another variant that Inter is using is the long ball for Dzeko/Lukaku/Dumfries after several passes between Onana and the defenders. They taunt the opposing team to press very high leaving space for what could be a lightning opportunity if Dzeko/Lukaku/Dumfries can direct the ball to Lautaro or one of the midfielders. Forza Inter ⚫🔵
@@SpreadSheetSoccer Chelsea played 5 at the back against Man City in 2021 and it paid off maybe it can work for Inter too but Man City against Madrid did not want a comeback to happen like last year. you could see that in Pep's face. So they wouldn't want to lose another UCL final.
Great analysis ❤ Inter Milan has been practicing already with counterattacks at least in the game against Napoli and Fiorentina, even they are losing they are treating the rivals as Man City. On the other hand given their investments and expectations from audiences, Inter has nothing to lose.
Great analysis! I just want to point out that City in the last three Champion's League games at home was an unbeatable machine (7-0 to RB Leipzig, 3-0 to Bayern Munich and 4-0 to Real Madrid), but in fact they never won against these teams away (1-1 the final scores). On neutral ground in Istanbul what we'll see? Maybe another more little hope for Inter...
True, a lot of people have been thinking Pep wanted to take draws away and unleash his team in the home matches. We might see city go all out in the one game final though
Well, to his defense, he knew what his team can do in the Etihad. So his target was always not to lose the away leg against Leipzig and Real. Bayern was first at Etihad which explains why they went gun blazing. Their away record in the UCL this season even from the group stage has not been so good. Too many draws and I think they only won one
@@samuelakinmade1908 The thing is it isn't just about the Etihad. Interesting stat no only have Man City only won 1 away game in the Champions League this season but this is crazy they have only won 1 away game AGAINST THE TOP 9 this season. City actually struggle against any decent side away from home. Crazy stat that no one seems to be noticing or wierry of in the next two games. It will be interesting for the FA Cup final and the Champions League final 🤔
City pretty much settled for draws to be fair. That's why Pep didn't even make substitutions against Real and Leipzig away. Draw was good enough because Etihad has been fortress in CL.
@@samkelorashuza5949 Brighton and Brentford away were meaningless games. They won the away game that mattered the most in Arsenal. City from March has been totally different team than City from August to February.
Great analysis bro, feel the same way, I think the tactical Inter plays could hold any other teams like Napoli or AC Milan cuz obviously, Inter has better players, especially midfield players, like the brothers said Man City they have such individual quality that may break through pretty easily, but it's one game final, everybody's got a chance.
Great video. I've been watching Inter this season, Man City have not faced anything like Inter. Imo teams in the PL almost give them too much respect, Inter will eat Silva alive, no way he can do what he did against Madrid. Also, Lukaku and Lautaro are in A form, the best Striker Duo in European Football.
Lol, Inter faced something like Man City in Bayern and lost. However you believe City will struggle against Inter? Going to be one sided. Losing but the keeper is Man Of The Match
Yes your analysis is correct Inzaghi plays very smartly. They don't want to have the ball and therefore barely press, only at certain moments. When they see the opportunity the counters have been so fast. Just sit back and let City knock the ball around all they want. City are going to have to be more direct and try and get thier forwards one on one with more space.
I'm an inter fan and not inter but any team put in that final will loose ....anyway inter is that team when you think they have no chance they do the opposite...that's the beauty of football...beside there's a super team in front of us inter may do the miracle
Definitely agree Inter's hybrid pressing style is nothing City have faced before but like stated its 1 leg so to win Inter will also have to score that means they will at some point have to open up and come out & thats going to be fun to watch. It will probably result in end to end chances because noone can defend against City for the whole 90 likewise noone can attack Inter for the whole 90 without consequences. May the best team win🎉
Excellent analysis. Man City loves to focus on center field game, with up to 4 midfielders when Stones is on the midline. Inter may need help from Lautaro to stay close to Stones and take advantage of it when counter attacking.
I appreciate anyone that does these RUclips analysis, it's a lot more work than most realise. Without getting too tactical, the main thing id say is YES on the day in a single match final anyone can win. I know on paper and in betting City are favourites. Inter had a much easier progression to the final. And City are No AC Milan. I'd say every player is comfortable on the ball , most of the passes could be put through the eye of a needle. There used to be a brilliant video " Pat Nevin explains Spain's play style" , but often clubs that play like City like three players surrounding one guy,it sucks more outa position and if you are as good with the ball as KDB ,Silva and others your fine being surrounded and you will still thread that killer pass six inches past a defender. I in No way think it's a written in stone conclusion and your video was interesting 👍 BUT, City have played some similar set ups, Chelsea and generally all Conte teams play like this. Also remember what ever analysis you have done and thought of and considered all the options !? ,Well Pep will of spent at least half his time since the draw going through all the scenarios and possibilities. Again I agree on the day it can be anyone, But if City turn it on as they did against Real Madrid is going to be hard for Inter. I just hope for a good game, in the past Italian teams have often been too defensive and hope to grab a slender win. 👍🤙✌️
I just hope and prayed that as a City Fans Pep won't overthink this time and plays all attacking mid players like last time against Chelsea, Kante was able to run the whole midfield due to the absence of a Def mid. More or else it would be a great game with City maintaining high possesion and Inter Milan would look for those quick transitional plays to break City's defence. I would predict the score to be 2-0 favouring City. But if its any other team that can upset them it would be Inter. Plus it would be worth noting that Inter's forward has to be as clinical as they could to beat this Man City side. Hoping for the best UCL finals. May the best team wins.
Great analysis. Finally someone says that the match will be an unknown territory for man city. It will also be unknown territory for Inter in sense that hasn't faced yet a team with the supposed quality that city has. Guardiola is quite arrogant in the way he supposedly understand Inter Milan s playing style We hopefully will see arrogants receive a lesson Forza Inter
Inter is the underdog in this final, at the restarting of the season they managed to win against Napoli with just one gol but I recall that match and they have resisted very well on the assault of Napoli attack just consider the score that Napoli had with team as Liverpool and Ajax, in my opinion as quality of the game after Napoli there is Inter and the main difference between them is the quality of the attack, scores speak for itself indeed
The thing is I want Inter to win. They need to approach it in a similar way as they did for the second leg against Bayern at the Allianz. If they had played their own game and given Bayern zero respect i believe they would have won as they were dominant the first 35 minutes. But they took the foot of the gas and let Bayern control it. Against City, when it comes to tactical analysis , I do believe that Dumfries and Dimarco/Gosens will hold up just fine against Grealish/Foden/Mahrez. I do not think the game will be decided in that area. The problem is that while all this analysis is true, sitting deep and defending well has proven to not work against Bayern munich as they were eventually pressured into own goals against both Bayern and Barcelona, and in general I suspect it to work even worse against City. You would think that this is the best approach, given how dangerous players City have, but that did not work for Real Madrid. I reckon that using Inter vs. Barca over 2 legs as a comparison, Calhanoglu scored a great goal and then they went deep and compact defending, but the defending honestly isn't that great. A big issue is that the two best centre backs De Vrij and Skriniar are playing sporadically these days, and while i think that Acerbi has been really good and is almost on par, I do not think that Darmian and Acerbi will cut it against city. Honestly they let in a lot of goals in general and Barca were able to score 3 against them in the Camp Nou, even without breaking the defence, by crosses and pressure around the box resulting in a deflection. The difference between Barca and City in this scenario, given that Inter gets the first goal, is that while City has good wingers and a striker at least as good as Lewandowski, additionally has KdB and B.Silva who can make the genious through pass that will break Inter's defense, an area of the game that broke the deal for Barca. Seeing Inter in the most competitive matchups the past 2 years I would put the games against Barca(La Liga winner this year), Liverpool(The finalist that year), Bayern Munich, then the games against Porto,Benfica and serie A matchups with Napoli as a tad below. In the 6 games against Barca, Liverpool and Bayern Munich they were overall deservedly victorious over Barca, against Liverpool they would have been at least 50/50 if Sanchez didn't get sent off, so I view their strength as equal, and against Bayern Munich, they were plain beaten at the San Siro, and at the Allianz they were the better team for the first 35 minutes, and then Bayern took over for the last 55. Then seeing how City disposed of both Bayern and Real, (although the result lied a bit at the Etihad against Bayern), I think that an overall approach that is too defensive will not work for Inter. They have to play their own game and be aggressive and without any respect going on the attack, that means H.Calhanoglu, Barella, Lukaku, Lautaro and Dumfries+Dimarco/Gosens must be at their absolute best, and while they do need to be extremely disciplined and focus on the defense, I don't think that defense as a general mindset/strategy for the game as a whole will work. Brozovic 100% needs to play, and I believe De Vrij must play instead of Darmian, alongside Bastoni, then it's a tossup between Acerbi and Skriniar given that Skriniar has been out for some time. They need to play as they did in the first 35 minutes against Bayern at the Allianz, and they have to keep that intensity for the full 90+ minutes. Then they have a very fair chance of winning- i would say 50/50. Another thing is that the game is not at the Etihad, and City were not that dominant either at the Signal Iduna, the Allianz or at Bernabeu this season. They have also lost to United at Old Trafford among other teams, and City are weakest when Pep and the team are most uncomfortable, that would be in the most intense and unforgiving circumstances, i.e. big teams with quality, away from home, that Pep does not know as well as he does some other teams.
I would make sure to put the best starting 11, that makes a big difference, and then make 2 focal points: 1. Go out guns blazing and play as they did the first 35 minutes against Bayern at the Allianz for the full 90+ minutes, and make sure they have the energy to go through with it. 2. City will try to do the same, with massive intensity. Suffocate J. Stones and Rodri in the buildup, and then if at some point during the game you can't stop KdB and Haaland combining, so be it. No teams can. Focus on outscoring them and go full throttle I believe Barella or Lautaro will score, and keep the same gas through the whole game, like Argentina did France in the world cup. 3. Don't make a stupid substitution or lack of substitution at the 68th minute that makes the final 20 impossible. (Scalonis decision to sub out MOTM Di Maria in the world cup final an example). Do not, for any reason whatsoever, sub out Barella, Brozovic or Martinez, i would say even Lukaku now that he is in good form, unless a bone has been fractured.
Finally, 4. De Vrij ahead of Darmian, and Lukaku needs to play ahead of Dzeko. He wants to prove his worth desperately and plays really well now. Lukaku will go berserk and have the game of his life.
Got to agree on this one; a defensive approach will only hurt Inter because it lets Man C. players space and time enough to make magic, which they are specialized for. So I'd take to attack and intensity.
Acerbi will play either on the left or the middle of the middle three. Seeing Bastoni will start on the left central back means Acerbi or De Vrij plays in the middle. Acerbi cannot play on the right as he is left footed and De Vrij will not play on the right also except Darmian, Skriniar and D'ambrosio are out. De Vrij is better in the middle as he can read and control the defense from there. So it is Bastoni, Acerbi and maybe Darmian
The same was said about bayern with their speed and Real Madrid. What you have failed to highlight is that over the years Pep and City have had experience dealing dealing with low block teams. If Citeh come to the party which they will, Inter will have themselves to blame.
While I agree with your awesome analysis, I believe City have the capability to take advantage of the spaces in the middle and fast at that to press the Inter defense or get them out of shape to try and get goals fast. Supposing City get one or two goals early in the first half, Inter may not have an easy time breaking the City defense. However, I look forward to that final...cmon Citeeehhhh
Inter has a big shot at this I tell you why.. The last time final was in Istanbul in 2005 I actually lived in Turkey.. I remember everyone in the city said AC Milan will win the game, except for me.. And if you just take a look at names in Milan team you wouldn't be surprised that everyone saw them as winners... starting line up: Dida, Cafu, Jaap Spam, Nesta, Maldini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, Shevchenko, Hernan Crespo substitute: Christian Abbiatti, Costacurta, Kaladze, Dhorasoo, Serginho, Rui Costa, Jon Dahl Tomasson manager: Carlo Ancelotti I mean has there ever been a team this heavy? I knew Liverpool would win that game because everyone underestimated their previous opponents while overestimating Milan's opponent. also because Milan had such big names and big manager This year that's happening again -Everyone is taken away with City Squad and Pep at the bench and the fact that they beat Bayern and Madrid on their way to the final.. They only beat a Bayern that had dropped second in Bundesliga few days before that for first time in 21st century and a Madrid that gave La Liga with 4 games remaining to a shadow of Barcelona who has the 34 years old Busquets and Lewandowski and a bunch of green peas.. If anybody argues that Barca are good and so are therefore Madrid then I argue Inter kicked a strong Barca out of the tournament so there is that and talk about Bayern who I'd remind won Bundesliga only on GOAL DIFFERENCE.. -Also Inter beat a matured Porto a team so tough to beat who topped the group and beat Atletico and then a Benfica which sat over PSG on top of group and knocked out Juventus.. -And finally always know that when you pick up a movie and look at the super star names and go wow this movie... keep in mind that when that movie came out those now superstars were a bunch of talents or else the makers of the movie couldn't even afford them, and they became superstars because of the producers and specially the Director of THAT MOVIE.. Football is the same.. SAF's Man U in 1999, Mourinho's 2004 Porto, Di Matteo's Chelsea that he picked up as his first headcoach job a team broken up after many criticism to go on and take that Barca out and beat Bayern to the Trophy in Alian Arena, Klopp's 2013 Dortmund, Simeone's 2014 Atletico with a list of free transfers and couple other small purchases that was seconds away from the crown, and of course again Mourinho's team in 2010 which was none other than Inter who everyone wrote off and they beat that Barca with all the unfairness by the officials and as underdogs beat Bayern in the finals.. This year, "Simone Inzaghi" is THAT DIRECTOR and "Internazionale Milano" my friends is THAT MOVIE...
@@waheboudoumi4145 definitely having a good day makes so much difference.. like last years serie A second leg against AC Inter should of went up 4-0 in first half... I was hoping for a 0-0 first half and a Inter goal between 50-60 minutes which could happen but it didn't... I think tactically Inter are good, but city have those quality players that can absolutely play around this. We have seen it before with bigger teams. This is why man city will probably win
Sadly this seems to be the case and odds are all in their favour. Let’s give everything on the pitch and may Facchetti, Corso, Burgnich, Picchi assist us from above 🖤💙
This is VERY true, the quality of the whole City squad is on another level to what AC Milan have. They are so comfortable on the ball that having 3 on 1 is nothing for them. When you have a team that is great with the ball from Ederson to the forwards who can thread the ball between three defenders its going to be hard. But it's a one off game so end of the day who knows. I'm sure even luck and a few rattling crossbars will play the part !, Just hope they play with the spirit they had against Real Madrid ✌️🤙✌️!

Nice video, video shares a lot of my thoughts with regards to the systems: City losing to Chelsea in the previous CL final, losing to Brentford and Spurs this year playing somewhat similar systems. Coppa Italia final was fascinating in just how many build up schemes Inter had to combat man2man pressing of Fiorentina - which City might do to some extent Defending strikers like Lukaku 1v1 is worth a second thought. When City played Leicester recently (defending with 5 at the back) Walker was used as a winger with 6 across the frontline, as opposed to the usual 5 with Mahrez widest player. Surely Walker would be used more as a defender, given the scenario into account? Definitely lots to think about.
@@SpreadSheetSoccer they were great attacking outlets in the return leg. Nevertheless, I dont believe Inter's game circuit will be as inoperative as Madrid's. Kroos and Modric were both outrun. Madrid played without a defensive midfielder which granted City superiority in midfield, disconnected Madrid's attack from midfield, and allowed the stoppers to go up without hesitation or worry. Maybe Inzaghi will play both Barella and Mkhitaryan to press City's double pivot (Stones, Rodri) and force Gundogan to withdraw and thus slowing down City's maneuver tempo. It would be a risky move but it could pay nonetheless. City are difficult to beat because they can tear you apart with their complex attacking tactics, yet if you are able to defend space, their players are all capable on 1 vs 1 and beat you on skill. Another plan might be Inter playing with 4 midfielders (Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Barella, Mkhitaryan) and go for man-marking in midfield. Otherwise De Bruyne and Gundogan would always be 2 on 1 against Calhanoglu. Then, play Lukaku or Dzeko as lone striker to hold the ball and start counter attacks.
Very good job bro. Feel the same way. Remember. A finale Is a final. And, last but not least, they will play in Turkey, not in the City 's home. MC Is a gol machine, but note Bayern in 2019-20 ... Won final 1-0 and not a great match
In simplified terms, it all depends on how city deals with the extremely attacking wbs and defend in the box against 2 target men. Citys front 5 vs Inters back 5 . Really wanna see how pep adapts .
Yeah like when they dominated possession and made Madrid sit back, Madrid was super uncomfortable and was trying to force their way out of it but inter will be comfortable to just sit back and let the chances come to them
City ave one of the best press breaking attacks, they just grind their opponents down and swing it side to side until they get through and never let up possession. With how high up Inter presses, I think City will easily swing it to the opposite side and get through less defended side like they have against so many other teams.
@@nikolasao The video is all about how Inter loves to press wdym😂 Also City don't lose champions league games, at least not this season. Dominating possession is how they win
@@ryanwilliams364 Inter do not press anyhow. They pick moments to press, and moment to attack vigorously. They are a team that plays with moments. If they will win this final it is them picking the right moment to strike City.
Inter using that system are able to create chances even when defending. All the pressure will be on City especially since Inter know full well their 3-5-2 is reliable so they'll play their style while the team that will have to adjust is Man City
I’m an Interista and I think you’re spot on. The holes will be attacking Dumfries. He’s not a good defender. Darmian and Barella bail him out a lot. If I was city I would overload the right, switch the play and let Grealish go 1 v 1 with Dumfries.
Interesting analysis, I am an inter fan and the match against Milan might be a bit misleading because Leao+Hernandez is probably the strongest left combination of the Serie A, with both able to carry the ball and creating space with their runs. Therefore the Dumfries had to press the men directly. It’s not always the case. But it could be that they will do the same with Grealish… you didn’t analyze the attacking combinations and options of inter. I’ll not do it for you before the final 😂
I think it’ll be similar to how Grealish is on the outside, usually with not much support from the fullbacks. Really good to point out because Hernandez has been super dangerous in the serie A. I think the defensive scheme is going to be the highlight of the inter team, but I should have emphasized how key their wingback combinations and their strikers combinations in the attack are because they are also deadly!
@@SpreadSheetSoccerof course we can beat them we are a world class but with bad recruitment over these last years the heart says inte will win it Alex Ferguson diserves respect unlike these cocky man city fans after real Madrid game
Intersting tactics and anything could happen with a one off final. I think the attcking right back will make some interesting attempts and Inter will score one goal inthe first half. However, this back line will be exploited after a few passages of play by City, whether Bernanrdo does th e exact same or Mahrez slices them up. Inter will score a second goal inthe second half, but it will be beyond true hope of coming back. City 5-2
After seeing this, I still favor city over inter but I still have respect for inter and they definitely are going to make the game extremely competitive, those people saying that city will school Inter know nothing
I think the key is the midfield, if Inter’s 3 midfielders chalanoglu, barella, mhikitarian can hald on city’s midfielders it’s possible to win this match for inter. For this game Mhkitaryan is better than brozovic. With brizovic ínter is more predictable, without him the 3 mid change constantly their positions. For sure City is better team, they’ve bought a lot of players and Inter financially can’t pay +1M in the contract to a player like Perisic. City is favorite, if city wins it’s what they have to do, if Inter win is because the football’s god like black and blue 😂 I think In football, especially in a final, 1 game, could happen everything.
Perisic is an extraordinary athlete, one of the best in the world, but a very "boring" as predictable player, as you said instead for Brozo. Perisic lack any fantasy when he plays.
City has 6 in midfield in the last few months with pep new formation 3-2-4-1. will be so hard to defend when they have that many players attacking. Inter need to park the bus and ready for counter attack
Looking at the 2 styles of games from the 2 teams, as far as inter is concerned a lot of work is going to fall on the shoulders following players: the 2 wingers (dumfries and Di Marco) and the central defender (Acerbi). If anyone of these is not 100% on the 10 of June then it will be pretty much game over for Inter.
@@tradovicka manchester city bench players are better than all inter main players. if inter is missing one of the main players in the final it's game over
@@yannickcolot2319 lol, Inter have been without Skriniar their best defender for a long time now and they have been doing well with an old Darmian filling for him. They lost Brozovic and were better with Calha playing his role. Inter are not reliant on players per say but on their system. The wingbacks have much workload which explains why they will most likely be substituted. Gosen defends better than Di Marco but Di Marco's cross always cause trouble for the opposing defence. The only problem may be Bellanova for Dumfries.
Very good analyzes, although I truly believe that you should've taken another game as a vocal point with City comparison - it could've easily be Napoli, but given that Inter were trashed again by them only this last round,I understand - and that is their two Barca legs in the group stage of CL,how they managed to KO Barca in the two games! I believe it's very important!
last game with Naples was played with bench players. Inter had two finals incoming and there were absolutely no reason to invest energies in a tough and meaningless match.
The Napoli's game lost it credentials when Inzaghi rested too many of his first team in order to keep them refreshed for the two finals that awaits them. Gagliardini's red card in the 40th minutes destroyed any other hope. So, if the match had both first team players available, it could have easily being used.
yeah you right for barca even benfica or porto would be good but the game against napoli would not make sense because inter played with a rotated team where only 3 first team player were aligned coupled with the Lord Gagliardini who did a masterclass before the half time
I find interesting how you never mention how important is the pressing from the 2 strikers . Lautaro especially use most of his energy to disturb the defenser trying to play the ball . When this pressing is missing we suffer tremendously.check the game with Fiorentina . The real reason why Correa is a problem , it is becauee he doesn’t press . He is not defending 1m. Will see . Anyway congratulation for the analysis. Great job .
Thank you! I think it’s very hard to press this man city team at all (look at Real Madrid last leg) so inter won’t be high pressing as much but it’s still important lautaro and Dzeko/Lukaku can help press effectively when their defending around midfield
easy win for city. it would be better for inter to lose by WO, the score only 0-3. if the match takes place, there is a high possibility that the highest scoreline in the history of UCL final will be broken 😂
L'inter ha giocato con il Napoli in 10 con le riserve e dopo un ciclo impressionante di partite fra cui roma, juve e derby in champions ligue. Oltretutto il Napoli aveva vinto già da 2 settimane il campionato
Come on guys...Over 2 Bilions spent in Signing players just in thr Guardiola era, we(Inter) we did the last transfer Session signing free agents...850 Mil turnover Vs 350...Is there need to say anything else? If City doesn't win the Champions this time better they hang themselves (metaphorically speaking) 😊😊😊
Every time I find Inter Milan written I am confused and it takes me a while to figure out if we are talking about Inter or Milan. I'm Italian and, to refer to the two teams, we say Inter (the team you call Inter Milan) and Milan (the team you call A C Milan).
Analisi interessante.
Inter is gonna be playing defensively. No matter what they do manchester city have answered for it. The only difference is gonna be is it gonna be 1 or 2:0 or is it gonna be 5:1 or something like that, Depending on how they're gonna force them (MC )to play through the middle all from the side.
Inter must start lukaku and dzeko as they can stop citys possession by winning aerial duels with height advantage and physicality...bernardo ,gundogan and de bruyne are the ones that inter has to especially worry about...bernardo cuts suddenly from wings inside in a zig zag way causing panic and forget opponents tactic....if inter can contain these three players then they have done something real couldn't do....
Final is about Luck. Regardless of City being the best but no doubt. 9/10 City will win if they play 10 times. Final Inter can just sit back and damage City 1-0 and hold them 90mins which is the most possible outcome.
Genius. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@@miguelporras8366 he was on the bench vs torino, im told he will be ready?
Fantastic defense, Acerbi and Darmian canceled Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia
not really, napoli had more substitutes on the field by game end and during most of the second half,
inter had more starters than napoli on the pitch while napoli was winning and won the game with its subs vs inter starters . your comment is a bit of a half truth border-lining on rationalization
@@gerryc2851 In a game where they were not focused at all due to the cup final and when the starters came in the game changed, in a situation already compromised by the red card in the first half. Two great teams! I follow both of them. If both play as they have been playing for the past month, it will be an excellent match!
@@hkar4385 Really good thing to consider. Hopefully Pep knows how to deal with that this time
Great analysis ❤
Inter Milan has been practicing already with counterattacks at least in the game against Napoli and Fiorentina, even they are losing they are treating the rivals as Man City. On the other hand given their investments and expectations from audiences, Inter has nothing to lose.
Correctly said
Inter has everything to win and nothing to loose
But
City has everything to loose
Stakes are high
Inzaghi is a tactical genius and Inter players have a strong mentality. To win a final you only have to be consistent in front of the goal
Exactly!
@@fikilesondach62 City is clearly the favorite. Inter could give them a lot of problems. It should be a good match.
Hope inter wins to teach the rich city owners that money doesnt buy you trophies nor history...Forza Inter!!!
The best analysis I had seen for this match. Good luck Inter 🇮🇹🇪🇨🇩🇪

@@SpreadSheetSoccer 😂 delusional at its best 😂..
Excellent analysis. Man City loves to focus on center field game, with up to 4 midfielders when Stones is on the midline. Inter may need help from Lautaro to stay close to Stones and take advantage of it when counter attacking.
You know ball, lautauro needs to be dropping back to midfield to make a 4v 4 against city
Wow - this required amazing coordination and teamwork fitness discipline and focus to pull off!
Great analysis. Finally someone says that the match will be an unknown territory for man city.
It will also be unknown territory for Inter in sense that hasn't faced yet a team with the supposed quality that city has.
Guardiola is quite arrogant in the way he supposedly understand Inter Milan s playing style
We hopefully will see arrogants receive a lesson
Forza Inter
I would make sure to put the best starting 11, that makes a big difference, and then make 2 focal points:
Just DO NOT play Gagliardini 🤣
The same was said about bayern with their speed and Real Madrid. What you have failed to highlight is that over the years Pep and City have had experience dealing dealing with low block teams. If Citeh come to the party which they will, Inter will have themselves to blame.
WELL SPOKEN
While I agree with your awesome analysis, I believe City have the capability to take advantage of the spaces in the middle and fast at that to press the Inter defense or get them out of shape to try and get goals fast. Supposing City get one or two goals early in the first half, Inter may not have an easy time breaking the City defense. However, I look forward to that final...cmon Citeeehhhh
Inter has a big shot at this I tell you why..
The last time final was in Istanbul in 2005 I actually lived in Turkey.. I remember everyone in the city said AC Milan will win the game, except for me..
And if you just take a look at names in Milan team you wouldn't be surprised that everyone saw them as winners...
starting line up: Dida, Cafu, Jaap Spam, Nesta, Maldini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, Shevchenko, Hernan Crespo
substitute: Christian Abbiatti, Costacurta, Kaladze, Dhorasoo, Serginho, Rui Costa, Jon Dahl Tomasson
manager: Carlo Ancelotti
I mean has there ever been a team this heavy?
I knew Liverpool would win that game because everyone underestimated their previous opponents while overestimating Milan's opponent. also because Milan had such big names and big manager
This year that's happening again
-Everyone is taken away with City Squad and Pep at the bench and the fact that they beat Bayern and Madrid on their way to the final..
You really hit the point👏
My friend I agree with you but don't forget that you need a little bit of luck and let's hope the referee be good. Good luck.
@@waheboudoumi4145 definitely having a good day makes so much difference.. like last years serie A second leg against AC Inter should of went up 4-0 in first half...
I was even aiming higher though because when City is ordered to watch the back they can't play their usual game and stress will build up on them. I was hoping for a 0-0 first half and a Inter goal between 50-60 minutes which could happen but it didn't...
But no matter what Inter made me proud this year dealing with all the financial issues spent in total as much as 1 of City January transfer and with Serie A's oldest squad they had a real shot at the highest prize..

This is VERY true, the quality of the whole City squad is on another level to what AC Milan have.
They are so comfortable on the ball that having 3 on 1 is nothing for them.

Nice video, video shares a lot of my thoughts with regards to the systems: City losing to Chelsea in the previous CL final, losing to Brentford and Spurs this year playing somewhat similar systems.
Coppa Italia final was fascinating in just how many build up schemes Inter had to combat man2man pressing of Fiorentina - which City might do to some extent
Defending strikers like Lukaku 1v1 is worth a second thought.
When City played Leicester recently (defending with 5 at the back) Walker was used as a winger with 6 across the frontline, as opposed to the usual 5 with Mahrez widest player. Surely Walker would be used more as a defender, given the scenario into account?
Definitely lots to think about.
I think he will. Akanji and walker played a big role in that second leg against real and I think they will again in the final
A great video
Your absolutely right!
City has extremely good one touch passes. If they change side Inter has to reorganize and leaves gaps
In simplified terms, it all depends on how city deals with the extremely attacking wbs and defend in the box against 2 target men. Citys front 5 vs Inters back 5 . Really wanna see how pep adapts .
I feel like they have seen it but when they have, Man City normally have trouble breaking teams like Inter down
Yeah like when they dominated possession and made Madrid sit back, Madrid was super uncomfortable and was trying to force their way out of it but inter will be comfortable to just sit back and let the chances come to them
City ave one of the best press breaking attacks, they just grind their opponents down and swing it side to side until they get through and never let up possession. With how high up Inter presses, I think City will easily swing it to the opposite side and get through less defended side like they have against so many other teams.
What's the point of having all the possession and still loose. Inter barely press
@@nikolasao The video is all about how Inter loves to press wdym😂 Also City don't lose champions league games, at least not this season. Dominating possession is how they win

I’m an Interista and I think you’re spot on. The holes will be attacking Dumfries. He’s not a good defender. Darmian and Barella bail him out a lot. If I was city I would overload the right, switch the play and let Grealish go 1 v 1 with Dumfries.
Great to hear it from an Inter fan! Glad we're seeing the same stuff

City 5-2
Thanks this is so ensuring that city will dominate and win so comfortably.

After seeing this, I still favor city over inter but I still have respect for inter and they definitely are going to make the game extremely competitive, those people saying that city will school Inter know nothing
I hope you're right!
City is favorite, if city wins it’s what they have to do, if Inter win is because the football’s god like black and blue 😂
I think In football, especially in a final, 1 game, could happen everything.
IMO, the bad and critical move to win against Man city is to injured K. De bruyne
Exactly just like what rudiger did to him vs chelsea, tough tackles needed midfield rotations to beat the press, restrict possession to around 55-60%
City ain’t dangerous if you restrict them on possession, their strength and ability to implement their tactics is based on them having possession
Looking at the 2 styles of games from the 2 teams, as far as inter is concerned a lot of work is going to fall on the shoulders following players: the 2 wingers (dumfries and Di Marco) and the central defender (Acerbi). If anyone of these is not 100% on the 10 of June then it will be pretty much game over for Inter.
u forgot to add that city has also to be @100%, or is that a given?
@@tradovicka manchester city bench players are better than all inter main players. if inter is missing one of the main players in the final it's game over
@@yannickcolot2319 generally yes, but football is not math...there's many many many more hidden details inbetween
@@yannickcolot2319 like psg 😂
Inter have also been on a very hot streak lately with their recent performances. I also had the good camera angle for this match only 🤣
last game with Naples was played with bench players.
So, if the match had both first team players available, it could have easily being used.
yeah you right for barca even benfica or porto would be good but the game against napoli would not make sense because inter played with a rotated team where only 3 first team player were aligned coupled with the Lord Gagliardini who did a masterclass before the half time
@@alexwtf80 Bench players?! Are you serious?!
Inter looks fresher and more dangerous accurate strikers . City needs a good day . And indeed very fast
POV: Say you are an Arsenal/Man United/Real Madrid fan without saying it
I find interesting how you never mention how important is the pressing from the 2 strikers .
Great job .
Thank you! I think it’s very hard to press this man city team at all (look at Real Madrid last leg) so inter won’t be high pressing as much but it’s still important lautaro and Dzeko/Lukaku can help press effectively when their defending around midfield
my take from this analysis is inter might actually beat us more than most people think
let's see how this ages
easy win for city. it would be better for inter to lose by WO, the score only 0-3. if the match takes place, there is a high possibility that the highest scoreline in the history of UCL final will be broken 😂
You Will have to delete this commenti After 10th june😂
@@caccatanfo no way, impossibile...
I'm here from the future. Inter did not win
That pressing system is the same one Murinho used against Barca with Inter.
yes, very similar!
Great video. I just wonder what is this tactical cams? And why isn't it banned from CL copyrights
Great video, City 3-0
the problem with inter is they are not able to keep the ball as good as city.. the need to be clinical when they got chances
Fear ciccio acerbi 🖤💙🐍
does this short clips get you in trouble with copyrights ?
Every time I find Inter Milan written I am confused and it takes me a while to figure out if we are talking about Inter or Milan. I'm Italian and, to refer to the two teams, we say Inter (the team you call Inter Milan) and Milan (the team you call A C Milan).
Surely, against Inter Pep gonna face "THE CHALLENGE" of his coaching career.
Lol I feel like we hear that a lot but they’ll probably win
Man city will own inter they will not even get a chance to touch the ball
@@JesusisLord78 Let it be so. I am also a man city supporter.
Like thy did with totenham,brentford,southampton
Man city will win 35-0
@@dorianago9728 I appreciate your love for man city . You are undoubtedly City's best supporter of all time.
Tuchel used this system with little different approach and little more aggressive as Germans would
Analisi interessante.
How can i have this tactical cam pls
I’m sure you thought RM will beat city at the etihad
But we are not called "Inter Milan" we are "inter", at best "Internazionale" 😅
Great video tho!!
Inter is playing 3(or 5) at the back like Chelsea did in UCL in 2021
Respect for Mister Inzaghi ❤
If pep dont change the players and tactics (like real Madrid game) , city will win İ Think
The eggs !!!
They’re not the underdogs. Man city are the underdogs, never won it. That would be the movie. They got demolished in the past etc
I like this spin
Yes but City isn't AC Milan, no disrespect to both Milan teams.
Inter is gonna be playing defensively. No matter what they do manchester city have answered for it. The only difference is gonna be is it gonna be 1 or 2:0 or is it gonna be 5:1 or something like that, Depending on how they're gonna force them (MC )to play through the middle all from the side.
They are three time winners not underdogs
Inter must start lukaku and dzeko as they can stop citys possession by winning aerial duels with height advantage and physicality...bernardo ,gundogan and de bruyne are the ones that inter has to especially worry about...bernardo cuts suddenly from wings inside in a zig zag way causing panic and forget opponents tactic....if inter can contain these three players then they have done something real couldn't do....
bro from where do you get these tactical cam footage
I'm not a Man City fan, but this video won't age well when Man City thrash Inter
All I am seeing who RUclips is how inter can beat city 😂😂😂, okay o no wahala I will come back to all these after the game
Inter have only lost 2 out of the last 17 games…I guess no one is looking at that
Final is about Luck. Regardless of City being the best but no doubt. 9/10 City will win if they play 10 times.
Final Inter can just sit back and damage City 1-0 and hold them 90mins which is the most possible outcome.
Man just shut up. How many finals falls on luck?? We've seen a Pep Barca completely dominate and beat Man united 3-1.
cup final inzaghi will save football
What a team is Iner Milon!
inter
@@yannickcolot2319 I'm just typing it as the way he pronounced the name in the video. I know it's Inter de Milan the spelling;)
It is FC Internazionale
My pronunciation as an American is so scuffed 😅
Acerbi vs Haaland duel is the biggest problem Inzaghi has to solve somehow
My brother, I never heard any one say inter milan like that. Sounded like the name of some north eastern pie
