I think the most incredible thing about this interview is how we got to see through the eyes of Pep. It is quite surreal how objective he is(13th min). When he spoke to how the public defines pragmatism and how he does, it took me back. That at the end of the day it comes down to numbers, not a style of play. For me, he dissociated perceptions, feelings and emotion from the what he is expected to deliver. At the end of the day, its not playing a pleasing type of football, but rather being objective and always delivering results. Secondly, I love how he leads. In the 11th min he talks to how poor delivery of a tactic is the sole responsibility of the manager when players fail to execute them. Its honestly heartwarming how he is quite aware of himself and his team. I am an United fan, however, my heart is moved by this man's passion, understanding and intelligence. Make no mistake Man United spent money and dominated in the transfer market also
Sir Alex Ferguson re-built United from the ground up. They had not won a league title in 26 years. The money he later on spent was thanks to his own hard earned success of using youth academy players and putting in a scouting network in place. Pep inherited a billion dollar City and a smooth situation where City had a nice backroom staff and boardroom and some of the players already had won the league two years before Pep joined lol. Sir Alex dominated across 4 different decades and the quality of the teams he had to face in the 2000s was much stronger than what Pep has had to face nowadays (Sir Alex had to face Arsenal Chelsea Liverpool who would all reach UCL semi-finals and finals each year for 5 years running). Pep's only true challenge has been a tight budget Liverpool and a Europa League quality Arsenal squad. Pep has done 3 PL titles in a row now, which is great. But Sir Alex did 3 PL titles in a row on Two different occasions which is massive.
You can tell Henry is a lil bit nervous.😂😂He's so careful that he doesn't pose a question that will piss Pep.He has so much respect for the genius😂😂.Someone will think it's one of the routine meetings gaffers have with individual players.😂😂

Well done Henry for showing a lot of respect and for been humble to Pep.And Pep is equally a humble manager who believes in his kind of football,he was right Spanish football is the best in Europe that’s the clubs in Spain win more European cup than any other, but the Premier League is the most glamorous in the world and a lot of credit to the British for that too. They made football a top class of a Job!.❤👋👋👋
Whaou Pep is awsome about where is the problem if the players dont understand the message.. for him : it’s the coach problem ! That’s show how much the coach is the tool to bring to maturity the plan to concret on the field. And the players have to catch it by their brain, heart and feet. I think that is also important to Thierry to understand the problem of managing a team with a lot of talents and couldn’t be able to express the plan and the talent of Belgian’team at the World Cup. I think he wants to learn from Pep how he bring a team together under his football to reach the goal ❤
Imagine if PSG has pep as a coach with Messi, mbappe, and Neymar. Cause there current coach has no f ing clue what he’s currently doing with the tactics
Joseph Guardiola is the greatest club manager imo! His Barça side of 2008/2009 won 6 trophies in a calendar year. No team in Europe has ever done that!
A huge part of this City side is winning the second ball and I find it very interesting that Pep says that this was the most surprising thing to him when he came to the Prem.
Whoever is questioning this man doesn't deserve to watch what happened a couple of days ago with Real. Facing Real in a semifinal with Ancelotti on the bench nonetheless and MC showed a dominance that Real supporters probably have never witnessed in their whole life. When you dominate the game like that against a roster of stellar players and you show your supporters such a good game with quality in every box and most importantly courage, you deserve appreciation. It is not the championship, it is the CL and Real and Ancelotti do not play unprepared, that's the reason one is the manager and the other is the team with most trophies in CL's football history.
I witnessed it once when pep was managing Barca.. Even though City were great you have to question Ancelottis tactics though, ridiculous line-up considering he knew how City played
@@Bredemann100 This squad is not even close to what Barca was. Messi-Xavi-Iniesta-Busquets is possibly the strongest quality pack anyone has ever had in the history of football. It was not ''normal'' to always dominate, but it kinda was. Real has the ballon d'or, not the other way around.

@@shahzadirani don't worry bro. If pep stays, he will do better than what fergie did
@@swatik2509 LOL we’ll see😂
You can tell Henry is a lil bit nervous.😂😂He's so careful that he doesn't pose a question that will piss Pep.He has so much respect for the genius😂😂.Someone will think it's one of the routine meetings gaffers have with individual players.😂😂
The best football coach of all time ❤
Like him (Barça, man city, some bayern fans, and pretty much all of spain), or hate him ( all of the premier league man city aside, and real madrid), you can’t deny that he’s the best coach of all time in terms of beautiful and entertaining game, making superstars out of good players, and always being competitive.
lol from Spain You have to exclude capital (they hate him) and all nationalist (because of being catalan independendista)
After M.Arteta I think TiTi should become asst.manager of City under Pep. So that he could develop his managerial skills n later after after Arteta he should be Arsenal’s next Manager.
YES, Pep we are here indeed to win I love everything about you.
Pep brings the magic out of his players....period.
I loved this interview. Thank you Pep and Thierry.🙏
Wonderful conversation. Love to see two barça legends having a deep chat about coaching.
Crazy thing is pep is still underrated by many. people always rate saf or mourinho deservedly of course but pep is up there with them
He is a great, respect to each other.
He create the teams good to watching, not only about number but it entertain also, exciting to watching every single his team playing the game.
Good Sir
Inspiring
I've noticed that it's only the fans of certain clubs that Jose Mourinho has coached that dislike Pep. Most players, ex-players and sports analysts talk about how Pep is the best. Most of them salivate about wanting to play under him. Why because they see someone that will improve them and make them play beautiful football. But how many players have you seen hoping to be coached by Mourinho. Very few. Cos no one wants to play that negative football. Pep is levels above him.
so humble
French and Spanish accent😄😄😄 i love it
Pep is pure class
Well done Henry for showing a lot of respect and for been humble to Pep.And Pep is equally a humble manager who believes in his kind of football,he was right Spanish football is the best in Europe that’s the clubs in Spain win more European cup than any other, but the Premier League is the most glamorous in the world and a lot of credit to the British for that too. They made football a top class of a Job!.❤👋👋👋
Absolutely genius coach. No doubt.
Beautiful conversation
Best manager ever
We need another show with these guys
Ahhh his passion ❤❤❤
ive never seen an interviewer kiss up to an interviewee this much in my entire life.
Bro there friends mutal respect
It seems so silly now but a lot of people in England thought that Peps style wouldn't succeed in PL!
It seems so silly now that a lot ppl say Barcelona was "ready-made" for him.
It didn't in the first season and the cheque book came out.
@@Dub_Northside what like Chelsea,Arsenal and man united
Pep is just a top class coach and their recruitment is insane every player under him improves every young players dream is to play under him
@@imrans2784 No just Chelsea an City.
Pep The Best Thank You
We all grateful to have you in the Football world Mr. PEP.
Your impact and legacy well last forever.
The Best coach of the World
Imagine if PSG has pep as a coach with Messi, mbappe, and Neymar. Cause there current coach has no f ing clue what he’s currently doing with the tactics
He will definitely let Ney go...he has some extinct policies against party lovers..I can't see PEP coaching that odd club
Bruh the start of this interview is literally the "why are you gae?" interview...he's even called Pep! 🤣
This man is a legend a myth what he dose is just super great 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Pep is just a mastermind coach......I like his philosophy
"Should I call you mister"
He's Pep Guardiola not Pep Julian Onziema.
Joseph Guardiola is the greatest club manager imo! His Barça side of 2008/2009 won 6 trophies in a calendar year. No team in Europe has ever done that!
Seeing this after he just won his 6th premier league is INCREDIBLE !!!!!!
2 GOATs
I have to give credit to Johan for creating this way of playing, but what Pep has done for football is the future!
Wouchchchch, goodness, two Masters, the one in communication, the other coaching👏👏👏👍
My favorite coach best in the world 🌎 congratulations 👏👏
Thierry Henry you better go for coaching lesson from Guardiola.. he is the GOAT
Pep seems like a likeable dude
i honestly wish we could get an interview between Pep and Laudrup considering how highly they spoke of one another and moreover I just wna c Laudrup again. I feel like he's just disappeared all of a sudden
"Don't ever lose *our* way." ~ Pep
Took me a while to realise Pep was wearing a jumper
Greatest of all time🙌
