Indeed it would be cool, I noticed that *some* teams are having difficulties to shoot on target... and it is odd because inter is not doing catenaccio at all
Being Italian and an Inter fan sadly I'm not surprised at all that I need to find a RUclips Channel in English to see someone giving Inzaghi the credit he deserves for the amazing work he is doing with Inter.
Finally some important recognition towards Inzaghi, I think he is among the best in the world as of now. He is unmatched in both tactic displays and getting the best of the best out of each individual player he has. He doesn't need much spending or crazy signings to do things well, he prefers a solid group that believe in itself and in his ideas: his ability to make old "aged out" players show the best version of themselves is really unmatched right now. He also revolutionized the back 3 formation and especially the 3-5-2, known as a defensive formation, to be an incredibly offensive and possession-based one. Right now he can be considered the best manager in the world, I really hope he stays at Inter for a long time and eventually become Inter's Wenger/Ferguson: especially after last year's critics, he'd really deserve that.

Please do a full length 15-20 mins deep dive pn Inzaghi's inter? For me Inter is the most complete team in the europe rn.Attacking wise flexible, defensively solid👍
What Inzaghi is doing is like an irresistible puzzle. He presents an extremely flexible 3-5-2, and none of the coaches who applied it before with Inter got the same results. Even more strangely, the 3-5-2 formation, which seems easy to stop, has proven unstoppable under Inzaghi. I believe that if Inzaghi and Serie A witness significant development, especially if he wins the Scudetto and the Champions League, we might see the birth of a new and unique football school. Inzaghi stands out by making Inter players, with a high level precise ball reception, excel in accurate passing. It's noteworthy that Inter is the team with the fewest individual dribbles in Serie A this season. This showcases Inzaghi's level of collective thinking, as he has turned all 22 starting players into a cohesive system, ready to adapt at any time and under any circumstances. This is something I haven't seen with any other coach. Inzaghi's Inter is giving birth to a new school that competes with the schools of Guardiola, Klopp, and Mourinho. It's good to see an English-language video discussing Inter, as there is unfortunately significant neglect of Serie A despite it being one of the top leagues tactically and technically
One thing we must realise about this team and is the most beautiful thing about them is that it is evident they enjoy playing with each other. The brotherhood is evident. Whoever scores the whole team embraces!
I remember thinking Inzaghi's Inter were just a continuation of Conte's, and maybe they were at the start(I won't claim to have watched them much). But they've shown an incredible transformation and now they're one of the most entertaining teams in Europe. Inzaghi's evolution is amazing, as still a relatively young coach.
yes they were, last season was exactly the same as conte style but not executed at the same level as conte, some fans hated inzaghi and wanted him out because they said he doesnt have new ideas and tries to copy conte but this season they are monsters
Inter under Conte did not play this nice, it was organized and pragmatic Inzaghi plays a Total Foot that is very very pleasant on the eyes, as well as winning
I am an inter milan fan and yes i really love this attacking defense strategy because creating numerical advantage is the key to surpass the lined up defense of a passive team. In Serie A we always see Pavard and Darmian always changing position or Dimarco going to the other side of the pitch from left to right. You find pavard in the box while chalanoglu is top tier defender and playmaker. Mkitharian and Barella are the engines for possession and counter attack. Lautaro is a playmaker but also the finisher. Thuram plays almost in every attacking position because of his great speed. Today's football is about complete footballers who can do more complex tasks on the field
If you are able to attack with 10 man and having your goalie out of the penalty box to gave sustain, and then when you are able in matter of seconds to come back to a full 11 men defence when the ball is lost, you just achieved 352 perfection
I mean inzaghi came from lazio where he did amazing things including winning 4 trophies as lazio and bringing them past CL group stage then he came to iinter after conte left after inter sold lakaka hakimi making +200 M spending 0 he lost the scudetto for 2 points by an overpeforming milan but won coppa italia and super cup last year CL final 3rd place and coppa italia + super cup again with spending 0 again thiis year we lost dzeko brozo onana etc etc but we reinvested a good amount finally gave him good players and we are seeing the real "inzaghian " inter and the team could still improve . Injaghi's inter deserves more attention. Not only They have the best GD in top Leagues, but also they're playing beautiful football. Not to mention they've played UCL final last season. Injaghi is cooking something silently.
Inzaghi's game involves the constant search for the extra man in possession. To achieve this he demands a lot of off-the-ball movement and asks each player to cover different positions. Last year it happened to see Inter build with Onana on the line of defenders. Obviously it is crucial that the team runs a lot and has the ability to stay focused to always make the preventive coverages. This kind of play is the key to making the best of a team that is very poor at dribbling and running the ball. In Italy many people talk about Inter's great roster, however, at the level of names it is not as if there are who knows what champions. Lots of good players who make the best because they are put in the right conditions. I close on an interesting note. In some matches (e.g., the one with Milan) the right back and center back come out to the midfield to anticipate the opposing midfielders, alternating man-to-man and zone play.
@BIazy with all respect for Brozo, Calha is the right player for Simone, his passing and vision mean a lot to their quick play. Brozo is good for slow build up
The impressive thing about Inter this year is, as you said, the flexibility. When in possession, Chala gets back to the defense line to take the ball, while Bastoni and Pavard push forward and Di Marco goes behind the strikers. We literally attack in 10 and defend in 10. It's something that we haven't seen many times and it's incredibly innovative.
I feel lucky I started watching every Inter game right when Inzaghi arrived. Props to Marotta as well, such a genius. Their duo is the most interesting thing in football right now
How do Inter keep having such great looking kits, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, damn. I remember when Inzaghi was announced at Inter, I thought "They've gone for an Allegri"... Now both Allegri and Inzaghi have exceeded all expectations
World class content as per. Keep the manager analysis coming! Would love to see some more on: Arteta, Postcoglou, De Zerbi, Enrique, Eddie Howe, Iraola, Ancelotti, Tuchel, Mourinho, Zidane.
Well done man, you got the point, in the 3 5 2 the two left and right defense (in italy we call them small arms in the sense that cover right and left central) are two players can be midfielders wings or forward in case so nobody follows them in the box, we have never seen a way o playing like this, in italy they are unplayable
Dimarco running from side during Martinez penalty is a masterclass from inzaghi. Inter is a team, a proper football team with a proper chemistry. They are playing UCL final Again
Cholo has his work cut out for him but Atleti at home on a fiery European night is a tough task for any team. I wonder if Inter can remain flexible when game pace and intensity is ramped up.
I'm more worried about the injuries to Thuram, Calhanoglu, and Frattesi. If they are healthy enough to play, then Inter should come out on top. I am still fuming from Arnautovic's missed chances.
@@t-boneskillet1496Give the man a break, in that same game Lautaro missed lots of easy goals too (I think the same number too, not to shure tho). Marko is playing very well recently so the goals will come, either from him directly or assist, creating chances and spaces for his team mates
@@Pippus4 I agree, but I have same concerns as him. Thuram and Calha are vitals for Inter. Asllani could fill the passing and vision the team need and Calha has, but thuram has no rival. I don't think Marko could fill his boots and explosive Alexis couldn't play 90 mins
Athletic will have to come for us as they are behind … and if we press as we do switching positions I can see us scoring at least three… my only question( which it seems I only see it from the start of season ) is that Cahlanoglu e Mikitarian are weak in Europe for some reason I hope they are on top of their game in Madrid
Bastoni is no normal defender let me tell you this. He's super good both in technique and in defense. He's honestly my favourite player of the team, even more than Lautaro and Barella, but it might be because I tend to have a preference for defenders.
Ottima deduzione complimenti! Noi dell’Inter siamo felicissimi di averlo con noi! Questa è l’Inter migliore che io abbia mai visto. Seguo l’Inter e il calcio dal 1990
I have never really understood why Inzaghi's inter are usually overlooked when talking about potential dark horse in the champions League. They have been relatively consistent over the past three seasons he has been with them. Yet nobody really takes a cursory look at what they do. Their unconventional methods has always fascinated me because their style of play really doesn't match the ethos of their tactical setup: most times we assume because they line up with a back five they are just the archetypal Italian team that seat back to defend and catch the opposition on the break. Yes they do that but in a more subtle and different manner than we are accustomed to (for example the use of bastoni as a ball playing left center half but is also mobile enough to play as a wing back). It's this versatility in their tactics that I think that makes them really dangerous. For example in the champions league final last season there was a point they had man city scrambling. I guess Pep was a bit stunned by their tactics also before Rodri gave them the breakthrough
Yes totally, and I would dare to say that with this team at the moment , we would have won the final last year. But anyway, inter is a real joy to watch this season
Two years ago at anfield they made liverpool tremble with fear. When Inter shows its better face they also put a lot of pressure on you and don't just wait in defense. In attack they always have a man open because the opposing attackers never follow Bastoni and Pavard beyond midfield and so a favorable triangle is always created. Against Atletico it will be a complicated match, but if they pass the round they become very dangerous for all teams. Also because with last night's victory they have closed the serie A.
@@DaniDani-nh5wn in addition they are really good at man to man marking while also when there is the need to stay compact they do that very well also. They adapt they approach to what ever situation they find themselves at the moment.
they don't line up a back five. the team plays a 3-5-2 so it is basically 5 midfielders. it is not a 5-3-2 (unless the last 15 meters in yuor area). In italy lots of teams plays with that and the 5 are considerated midfielders, so you are always one man up in the middle of the pitch (even 2 if the other team use 3 midfielders) but you lose 1 in attack (so you must have 2 central strikers) and you must have 3 central backs. But Idon't get why outside italy they see the 3-5-2 always like 5-3-2
@@franzjack on paper it's a 5 back line but the wing backs don't do much of defending. Still there still a deviation from the norm because the center backs still push forward to link up with the midfield
Great video ! It's something not as exciting to watch Inter play as it can be for other successfull teams in Europe, but it's true that they give the impression to be very balanced in their way of creating goal opportunities, and they are above all the best defense in Europe...
i'm a seasoned Inter fan, and I can certify that even Mourinho's Inter, that was an armoured tank, DID NOT play this nice this Inter is very pleasant to watch, it dominates the game, wants to have the ball possession and wants to enjoy the game while winning it defenders go up the pitch, midfilders come back and defend, many time on opposite wings it's just TOTAL FOOTBALL
Inzaghi updates the classic 5-5-5 tactics (better known as bi-zona) designed in the mid '80 by Oronzo Canà, coach and tactician of the italian team Longobarda.
Ive been waiting for this. This Inter is doing things I have never seen before in football, especially with attacking center backs. Also the team recently adopted a style where even the wide attacking full backs switch positions along with the center backs. The whole teams does that actually lol
It’s good to see people finally recognizing Inzaghi’s tactics. Underrated coach. Would like to see an analysis of Ruben Amorim’s philosophy and Spalletti too.
Before watching these tactical analysts videos I found it boring to watch football teams playing except my favorites football teams playing . Now I enjoy every team game.
😂 LOL, you're even asking; of course we need a full deep dive into Inzaghi's tactics; he's been utilizing, tweaking, and evolving this same tactics since Lazio and some of us do like (& embody) tactics that are perceived as negative, dull, dry, & uneventful, tho with a lil kick of course.😊 Imanol & Inzaghi are managers the football community are sleeping on, largely due to the fact that they're from Catenaccio or unconventional forms of football approaches. In your future video, pls do not allude the idea of overlapping (&inverted) CBs to only Inzaghi it's been tried by Italian & German (French too) managers before and Sheffield Utd did utilize it to. All in all, big fan of Inzaghi and your channel.
Reading the comments I suddenly realise that out of pur country everyone recognises the ability and the Genius of Inzaghi, but in Italy noone sees how good he Is and how well he built this team
The crazy thing is even if others try to copy this it won’t work. Never mind Inzaghis brilliance but bastoni is amazing technically and this system wouldn’t work as well without him
Inter are not an attacking nor defensive team but rather flexible team. So at times they can allow opponents to have useless possession as long as it doesn't create any trouble but when they want to attack they do so as a unit in an organised manner with specialists in key positions making defending against them very difficult.
As an Inter fan I actually love that people still think we play low bloc defense and counters because it give us the upper hand to surprise everyone. Stereotypes are hard to kill but we are doing it one match at a time.
I have this belief that the next generation of managers are going to be tactically elite because of how well they’ve been coached and how tactically astute they are like we saw in the griezmann clip and the only challenges I think they will have will be empathy towards players e.g like Klopp, and also getting their tactical message across like guardiola, de zerbi, acelotti
Would you have a look at the goal against Bologna? Assisted by the left center back and scored by the right centre back. Worth a deep dive too into inzaghi's tactics and it's evolution from Lazio's to this year as I think he's having quite an impact on football tactics,😊
This is why total football is amazing.. 😊 because not simple, to ask a players do as you say.. For now most players want to play in what he can.. Not want to learn a new.. Thats why inter always put an eye in players who is halfway.. Not players who is in the top performance.. Its a gambling.. But in hand of inzaghi., its amazing.. 😊 same condition when Arsenal with Wenger as manager.. 😅
I miss the old Serie A back when he was a player, best collection of talent in a league ever. Every week you're watching legends and superstars. It was like todays EPL but on crack 😂
Inter is among the most exciting teams to watch this year if not the most. A deep dive would be great, specially if you can shed some light on their evolution over the past seasons since Inzaghi took over.
as inter fan, I was shocked a few years ago to see Barella and Calhanoglu being the last defender while De Vrij and Bastoni attacking closed to penalty area very often or zero defenders at centre, Onana is the single player playing CB/CDM while others are at wing side to create space for him.
To say that it's a positional structure you shouldn't just look at the 5 spaces being occupied, but show/watch them moving. Even if they're using the 5 spaces, it's not positional, because, the 3 midfielders and one of the strikers go forward the ball zone. You can also check it in the video you posted. Positional isnt just have the 5 spaces occupied, is how you're using the space and the movements.

Yess... Inzaghi is the coach of the moment... This Inter play a beautiful and innovative calcio.
Basting is solid! His long passes are crazy good.
I’m glad someone made a video about Inzaghi.
Would definitely watch a 20-30 minute video on inter. I really love your videos and when they’re about my team I’m definitely going to ask for more
The only team i would not like my team Madrid to face will be this inter milan. They are easily top 2 team in the world right now. Great manager.
Was about to suggest one on Inzaghi. You were way ahead of the curb. Inzaghi is criminally underrated though.
Please do a full deep dive. They are the most exciting team right now
dimarco is basically a winger when attacking, no wonder the numbers
Great video. De Rossi is doing amazing as a manager as well, would like to know more about his tactics
This was so interesting, I remember a while back trying to replicate this on fm 23, with my wide centre backs and it worked real good
Inzaghi and Xabi Alonso, these guys are legends in the making
Him and Xabi are the next DT of real madrid
I feel lucky I started watching every Inter game right when Inzaghi arrived. Props to Marotta as well, such a genius. Their duo is the most interesting thing in football right now
finally someone analyzing inter, we are making an incredible seasone thanks to inzaghi's tactics, and surely a deeper analysis would be great
Yes please! Do a full on tactical analysis of Inzaghi!
How do Inter keep having such great looking kits, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, damn.
I remember when Inzaghi was announced at Inter, I thought "They've gone for an Allegri"... Now both Allegri and Inzaghi have exceeded all expectations
What does Allegri have to do with Inzaghi?
They are playing UCL final
Again
Athletic will have to come for us as they are behind … and if we press as we do switching positions I can see us scoring at least three… my only question( which it seems I only see it from the start of season ) is that Cahlanoglu e Mikitarian are weak in Europe for some reason
I hope they are on top of their game in Madrid
@@t-boneskillet1496Frattesi is fit they confirmed it yesterday I hope Calgary and Miki don’t play like they do in Europe against top teams…
Bastoni is no normal defender let me tell you this. He's super good both in technique and in defense. He's honestly my favourite player of the team, even more than Lautaro and Barella, but it might be because I tend to have a preference for defenders.
Would love more of this Inter/Inzaghi analysis!!
Finally Inzaghi gets some recognition from youtube tactical analysts
Proud of interfans 🎉🎉🎉 beauty, tactical, flexible, efficient
I want full deep dive too. Inter play catenaccio on defensive phase, and total footbal on offensive phase
i'm a seasoned Inter fan, and I can certify that even Mourinho's Inter, that was an armoured tank, DID NOT play this nice
this Inter is very pleasant to watch, it dominates the game, wants to have the ball possession and wants to enjoy the game while winning it
defenders go up the pitch, midfilders come back and defend, many time on opposite wings
it's just TOTAL FOOTBALL
They were better
I would like a full deep dive. Thanks for paying so much attention to Inter🖤💙
Yes please do a deep-dive to either class or interesting managers
Inzaghi updates the classic 5-5-5 tactics (better known as bi-zona) designed in the mid '80 by Oronzo Canà, coach and tactician of the italian team Longobarda.
Classy
Quanto ti amo Internazionale 💙🖤💙
Ive been waiting for this. This Inter is doing things I have never seen before in football, especially with attacking center backs. Also the team recently adopted a style where even the wide attacking full backs switch positions along with the center backs. The whole teams does that actually lol
Yes its the same as teams would do in 433 and inverted wings, but when Inter does it they have 2 strikers to cross to. Thats the beauty of 352
It’s good to see people finally recognizing Inzaghi’s tactics. Underrated coach.
Would like to see an analysis of Ruben Amorim’s philosophy and Spalletti too.
Waiting for a deep dive 😮
Great job! Keep on diving into it. Best team out there currently. Forza Inter
Before watching these tactical analysts videos I found it boring to watch football teams playing except my favorites football teams playing . Now I enjoy every team game.
Inzaghi is my favorite coach he plays really well
That was awesome, would love to see more Inter analysis
Do a deep dive on him also on Ruben Amorin Sporting coach and Sebestian Hoeness of Stuttgart. Thomas Tuchel too
😂 LOL, you're even asking; of course we need a full deep dive into Inzaghi's tactics; he's been utilizing, tweaking, and evolving this same tactics since Lazio and some of us do like (& embody) tactics that are perceived as negative, dull, dry, & uneventful, tho with a lil kick of course.😊
Imanol & Inzaghi are managers the football community are sleeping on, largely due to the fact that they're from Catenaccio or unconventional forms of football approaches.
Never mind Inzaghis brilliance but bastoni is amazing technically and this system wouldn’t work as well without him
Really want to see you do one on erik ten hag he reallly is an underrated manager.
More deep dive into Inter yes, very interesting team. Thanks!
Tidak sia2 menjadi Interisti dari tahun 98, FORZA INTEEEERR !!! 💙🖤 btw its a good video analysis.. Greetings from Indonesia 🙌🇲🇨
2 videos about inter from rabona and purist? FORZA INTER🔵⚫️
Wow your channel has really taken off within a year. Congratulations!
Inzaghi is the best thing that happened to our Inter. We adore him.
We Need a Deep Dive for the Demon of Piacenza
I have this belief that the next generation of managers are going to be tactically elite because of how well they’ve been coached and how tactically astute they are like we saw in the griezmann clip and the only challenges I think they will have will be empathy towards players e.g like Klopp, and also getting their tactical message across like guardiola, de zerbi, acelotti
As an Inter Fan , we are FANTASTIC 💙🖤
Would love the inzaghi deep-dive
I remember watching Inzaghi at Lazio and turn Lazio around. Nice to see him doing well at Inter.
Would you have a look at the goal against Bologna?
Assisted by the left center back and scored by the right centre back.
Worth a deep dive too into inzaghi's tactics and it's evolution from Lazio's to this year as I think he's having quite an impact on football tactics,😊
The first team playing like football like basketball. Everyone does everything.
Yes, please. This team needs more coverage
I would be interested in a deep dive in this year Inter, yes.
I'm letting you know that I'd like a deeper dive into Inzaghi tactics, also something about Allegri new tactics would be nice.
Yes please do a deep dive for inzagi. Really interested in their tactics
please do an in-depth analysis of Mr. Inzaghi's game. You make very clear explanations. 👌
yep, definitely would love a deep dive into Inzaghi's team
Definitely deserve more attention, both Inzaghi and Inter
as inter fan, I was shocked a few years ago to see Barella and Calhanoglu being the last defender while De Vrij and Bastoni attacking closed to penalty area very often or zero defenders at centre, Onana is the single player playing CB/CDM while others are at wing side to create space for him.
Is bad to compare it using frozen imagens, the move logic is different
Deep dive needed especially for calhanoglu and bastoni's roles
We need a full deep dive into inter tactics ❤
Great work. Please do a detailing video of inter. Next RUBEN AMORIM pls
A closer look would be good. CL finalists last year and contenders this season. This video was a great preview
