JUST PARADISE!! YOU GRANDMOTHER, WAS ALMOST A 100 YEARS OLD!! HOW BLESSED!! YOU ARE ONE FORTUNATE LADY TO HAVE GROWN UP IN THAT BEAUTIFUL ENVIRONMENT 😍 ❤
What a beautiful sanctuary! It's made of all the things that earn its title HOME! Thank you for caring so well for your family's pride and joy. You're amazing! Prayers and Blessings always!💞 Theresa.
Thanks for the lovely tour. may your Grandma continue resting in peace. Would be great if you came up with a way to harvest the termites. All that food running away! lol
Beautiful home. It was so relaxing to watch this video. I am working on setting up something like this back home in Zimbabwe. I cant wait to go back to Africa and live in a village. The peace, the calmness is all I need. I loved your house too! especially your brothers house, wow, beautiful
Such a beautiful home I love it,sorry for the loss of your grandmother may her soul continue resting in peace 🙏………….The Christmas feeling am telling you 😅i wish you guy’s happy festive season 🤗

G morning Jael congrats,we are at 2k. I really enjoyed this video, the compound is really beautiful as I always say... sorry about the loss of grandma, you can always cherish the beautiful memories and it's good you have those memories.
OMG , Sister why is no one catching those Antis , you're wasting the nice sauce it's usually nice with groundnuts. You have nice home stead keep it up. I really envy in a nice way. You did well to quit the crazy life of city. Love everything 🙏🏿❤️✌🏾
Gal, you’re making us Africans people. Your compound is so green yet the animals walk around it. I get made when my mom releases animals in our homestead. The goats destroy the grass and the greeneries. But I have watched carefully on your videos and the animals are on leashes
How do you cook the mitts and my condolences to losing your grandmother I lost mine around the same time to cancer. I took care of her up to her time to go.
Hi I'm new to this channel. The place looks very beautiful and very calm and the soil is very fertile. I pray one day I will own a home like this thanks
It was very sad to see this happen to you. Install a CCTV and catch the culprit, and make sure the law deals with him. Alternatively, get a masai to guard your property for you.
What did your parents do for work please to own such a grand home? In America you would have to be a doctor, accountant or something to own a home like that.
Why is the dog scared of you? Interested Ito know as I have just started watching your channel & I find it interesting! Where are you staying? A nice peaceful life!!
Dog scared of her because she probably says a strong no every time the dog tries to enter the house. In African villages dogs are nice pets but we also use them as watch dogs. We prefer them staying outside. I know it is very different from dogs in posh neighborhoods in Nairobi, USA, Europe or Japan. There is great diversity in cultures. If you keep telling a dog “NO” in a strong inflexible tone, they begin to keep their distance from you. I used to have dogs as pets growing up in Kenya. The best thing you can do is to always rub their back and gently stroke their head or massage their body after saying no. Enforce boundaries bit be careful not to instill fear.
Thank you for your observation. The dogs we have here are watch dogs, not pets. They are aften in the kennel and are released at night. It is true there's less interaction.
@@jaelofthevillage wow! That's good! We have many types of poisonous snakes here in Texas and between Apr- Oct have to really keep a watchful eye out when outside in the grass.
I feel very sad that the animals will be eaten. You have lots of food to eat, no need for animal stock. When you start slaughtering the animals, the others in linefor slaughter must be very anxious, and hormones begin to be secreating, they must panic, without a Saviour no hope.

Thankyou Jane. I will try the sauce with gnuts. Thanks for the tip ❤️
Thanks for comic relief. You are right, they can be delicious. But I think the birds need them more than us.

Hello Jael. New to this channel and a new subbie. So beautiful your place and so serene. Question? How do you catch the termites?
Wet the inside of a woven basket and place over their exit. The wet walls of the basket traps the wings and they stay put.
@@jaelofthevillage thank you for this information
Which part of Kenya is this? It looks radiant, peaceful, lots of open fresh air and the soil looks rich!
This is Homabay county. Western region of Kenya.
@@jaelofthevillage ....very beautiful! The privilege of living in the tropical climate; evident in the bounties in the yield to hardworking planters.

Hey there! Whats the name of the tall trees on your compound, would love to plant those too in my backyard
Podo probably. At what minute do the trees appear in the video?
what is that plant you used for fencing?
Kei apple
Beautiful home. How many acres is it? I love homesteads. I want nothing more than a village home like this.
Thankyou. 3 acres
I agree

I wouldn't say corn. Its maize yaweh nyako
Is there a difference 🤔
We eat those type of flies in Congo.
You guys eat everything. I hope to visit Congo some day and sample all the wild foods. ❤️
So good and encouraging, which part of kenya is this?
Homabay
It think it is southwestern Kenya.

How do you keep the wildlife from eating your vegetables?
The vegetable garden is fenced.
What are you feeding your chicken?
There's a whole video on that. Their feed consists mainly of kitchen scraps.
It was very sad to see this happen to you. Install a CCTV and catch the culprit, and make sure the law deals with him. Alternatively, get a masai to guard your property for you.
Sure. Planning to have a caretaker here. Thanks.
What did your parents do for work please to own such a grand home? In America you would have to be a doctor, accountant or something to own a home like that.
Really? It is not very expensive owning a home here.
How old are the Eucalyptus trees
They were planted at different times. Some are 30 years old others one or two or five.
Such a beautiful property always a joy to view.🤗

I live in Kenya-Africa.I jumped over the fence into the garden. The dogs couldn't pass through.

I wish the animals weren’t slaughtered, that ruins the video for me but I understand.
How do you typically get your meat and chicken. They gotta be slaughtered.
We gotta eat darling
I understand you. In Africa animals are great nutritional source. Please understand.
Makes me wonder why your dog is so afraid of you?? Usually it's because of lack of attention and kind interaction.
Thank you for your observation. The dogs we have here are watch dogs, not pets. They are aften in the kennel and are released at night. It is true there's less interaction.
Ms. Jael, do you have to worry about snakes?
It's been decades since I last saw a snake here.
