We have spring like this in Jamaica
I realised we have a lot of similarities in our way of life
I am sure I have been on this road before. I have done quite a bit of traveling in this region. I did not know you live quite close to the county borders. Wow! You are so blessed! I live in Homa Bay County, well since I have been back in Kenya.
Wow! Yes,we're at the border. You got that right. Thank you so much, bless you,too
@@jaelofthevillage Thank you, Jael! You are a true inspiration and encouragement to many!
Love it! 🤣🤣👌
😅
Hello Jael, sO MucH respect for you to have to get water that way. How many languages are spoken in Kenya besides English and probably Swahili right? Thank you for making these videos they are a wonderful window into a world I’ll probably never get to go to.💕😊
You're welcome darling. There are about fifty languages spoken here. I speak 3, fluently.
We have such kisima in my village. It has been there for ages. The water is very good to drink.
Awesome.
Life can really be beautiful, honestly 😊See the beauty of the village, the trees, the water flowing, the calmness, its just so……I just feel like relocating to the village right now ❤
It's always so calm and beautiful
And in that beauty people run away to the toxic city that is a concrete jungle ,no fresh air lol.We desire and love what we should not and abandon what’s best for us.
Love watching you. I'm new just today. ❤
Thank you for checking in and I'm glad you love it here. Blessings
Me and my daughter we started watching your videos. My daughter thinks we are good friends because i watch your videos all the time.
😍😍thank you so much. Regards to your daughter. Yes,someone who supports you is your good friend. She's right. ❤️
Does it rain a lot there Jael? Looks like you get a lot of it, which I love. As an uprooted village girl myself, now living far away, in a big city, I live vicariously through your channel ❤
Yes,it does. We rarely go a week without rain.
Is this Gem....the place is green!
In the Caribbean, the descendants of those people stolen from countries in Africa still, (to this day) use the same pad of rolled cloth on their heads when carrying heavy loads!! Thank you for sharing priceless information sister
These old habits never die
Jael am watching you from QATAR
I appreciate it brother. ❤️
I'd have to invest in some sort of wagon or cart. That's a long walk to get water. I guess it keeps you physically fit.
It does
So interesting
Thank you
new here. I enjoyed watching this. but you didn't show us your ex at all.hahaha.thanks for sharing
The guy in a red cap.He is camera shy 🤭. Thanks for watching Rosa.

I am new to your channel and I love it! May I ask, where did you learn to speak English so well?
Thank you Zaidra. Kenya 🇰🇪 was a British colony.

Love the way u reply to some "interesting" questions😂
Questioning anybody's mastery of the Queen's lsnguage in your part of the country...a no no!
Lakini u do speak very soothingly and nicely.
Lotsa people dont realise how well Kenyans are educated.
Love your bloggs!

The story of your ex is just hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
😅😅
we call it kata n Jamaica. When I used to carry water as a little girl, in he country with my grandma. We do not say village. We call it District.
Awesome! We seem to have a lot of similarities with the Jamaican people. Happy new year
Great video,I really enjoyed watching. thought your ex would help you carry the water.hahaha
He couldn't even let me take a video of his face.
Joel this place close to my home. I will visit you soon
Karibu sana
I like the coincidence of meeting your former crush in your most feminine element. He couldn't have lost the bet
🤣🤣🤣
That walk is healthy by the way to burn some calories
Sure. The village girls are very fit.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 very funny strong woman
😅😅
Jael that’s a long distance to fetch just one jerican of water. Hope things have improved by now.
Sure it is. I don't go to the river. I only wanted to show what my village people go through for this precious commodity
Mano iting'o 10ltrs kende to jii ting'o 20ltrs yawa😃.......anyway now I understand why you harvest twice a month, hio udongo ya huko(red soil) huwa iko fertile sana😊

@@jaelofthevillage
We understand content was more needed than water 😂😂. And we really enjoyed it 😊.
@@mercyodanga3411 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where does the water come from? Where does it come from before it comes out of this pipe... How do you know it is clean? Did you do a chemical test on it to know that it is clean? How do you know that the place this water comes from is not where someone else is using the bathroom? I think this is great that we have social media to be able to be connected as a diaspora. So cute that you had courage to speak to him (a crush). 🥰
The water has gone through lab tests and if fit for consumption. Thanks for your concern. Love and blessings
Nyamira county in Kabondo I don’t understand dear.Explain please .
We are at the boundary of the Homabay-Nyamira-kisii counties
Like OGA cinemas going to the river
😅😅
I like the way you carry that jerican om your head.you r typical luo girl
😊 thanks
How many trips can one make
😁 depends on your needs
😮
Looks like Kissi tribe are everywhere, even in Liberia and Guinea.
We border them here
Wow, it's a small world. This is the same river Kemunto Bear fetches water from. Your village is supper fertile. I need a plot.
😅really?? Let me go check her out she could be my neighbour. Yes, my village is super fertile. Talk 'nicely' 😅 I get you a plot
@@jaelofthevillageI’ve always wanted a plot in Kenya. All the way from Zambia 😂
It's not the same....most spring water in western sides of Kenya are designed in same model look alike
Nyarkabondo ayie kodi
Your ex or old crush is paying lifes heavy dues, ejoyed some homebrew,no longer the village heartthrob, life csn humble you😂

@@anneolal6893 around Ringa
How I waited for the river😮😮
😅😅😅2km away
@@jaelofthevillage great walk though 👌
Hello jael which place is that
Siling. Somewhere between Nyamira and Homabay counties.
Hapo inaka poa sana mimea❤️❤️
Thanks Alice. Nature is beautiful if not disturbed
The moment i will be done with the building my house and get at least 2 acres of land for farming to begin with, the city will be a forgotten place for me unless for sourcing important things that are only not available locally in the village and non foods goods but not living. So help me God.
May your prayers and dreams come true. May God provide resources to enable you to accomplish this dream
Jael, that thing you put on your head is usually made with banana leaves. 🙂
Oh yes.
You need a wagon or a horse to carry the heavy containers of water,
My God, that's a long walk, its beautiful but how often must this task be done????
Everyday
Soo strange, if that's a river .
Btw where does the water come from that never dries 🤔
Nature
WOW this is what I plan to do as soon as I clock 70
😁wishing you the very best of retirement.
Every evening nope too much walking 😂
😅😅😅didn't they say that walking is healthy..
Waàoo clean water
Men bathroom nn women bathroom 😂😂😂😂😂
😅😅
Imagine flowing water throughout like that isn't that a waste,if if it's being stored in big tank's
Been thinking the same but it has never stopped flowing since I was born😅
It's not wasteful. That water is flowing to other areas where it's needed. If it stops flowing from there I imagine other communities and the environment would suffer.
It is a river,,,,
@@loishaldemann6166😂
Your ex😂😂😂❤
😅😅
Are you related to Erick ochanji?
Yes,he's my brother
He's a good man.
Distance to the river waah iam dead, uko strong . Now you need a borehole or underground tap to store much rain water, my home I see people use donkeys to transport water they carry like 4-6 containers.
Sure,working on that.
You could try a rainwater tank. They catch rain off the roof. That's what I have. I live in South Africa❤
I thought you have water at your homestead?
This is an old video. I was just trying to show what the village people go through to get that precious commodity.
@jaelochanji ok thanks for replying
You still like your ex ... vile unacheka 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 zero feelings aki.

Life's made of these! Thanks for the sense of humour interlude. Kumbe u are a jolly person too. 🎉
Your practice of a clean life might set a good example to the villagers.
Logical Fact: When Jesus was growing up in Egypt, He drunk water from this village. 😮
😅😅😅
You made a donut 🍩

I was waiting to see busy: fish boats, fishermen, and many people busy at the river?😳Just to see your unfriendly awful neighbour there! I hope she isn’t just evil, and jealousy…? I liked ur ex…and was about to ask for his number.🤷♀️
😅😅
@@jaelofthevillage 🤣🤣🤣
@@jaelofthevillage Jael I subscribed to day!, and loved your home environment, the farming…It’s amazingly green environment…
The fun of this video begins with the title.
😅😅
Why use bathroom in the clean river water.!!!!!that's unsanitary.
It is our culture 😄
Using the bathroom here means to take a bath not using the restroom
Jael, I am still in the catch-up mode in watching your vlogs. The scenery is beautiful. That’s one of the things I like about Kenya. I also follow Mekenze @ Limiri Farms in Meru. Her vlogs are filled with beautiful scenery. I am so happy you don’t have to walk to the river from your new homestead. Blessings💜🥰🙏🏾🫶🏾🙋🏾♀️
