  • When the sun is down,every village girl knows it's time to fetch water from the river which is usually miles away for domestic use. It is also time for them to mingle with their peers. Hope you enjoy this experience.

    In the Caribbean, the descendants of those people stolen from countries in Africa still, (to this day) use the same pad of rolled cloth on their heads when carrying heavy loads!! Thank you for sharing priceless information sister

    I'd have to invest in some sort of wagon or cart. That's a long walk to get water. I guess it keeps you physically fit.

    Where does the water come from? Where does it come from before it comes out of this pipe... How do you know it is clean? Did you do a chemical test on it to know that it is clean? How do you know that the place this water comes from is not where someone else is using the bathroom? I think this is great that we have social media to be able to be connected as a diaspora. So cute that you had courage to speak to him (a crush). 🥰

    The moment i will be done with the building my house and get at least 2 acres of land for farming to begin with, the city will be a forgotten place for me unless for sourcing important things that are only not available locally in the village and non foods goods but not living. So help me God.

      It's not wasteful. That water is flowing to other areas where it's needed. If it stops flowing from there I imagine other communities and the environment would suffer.

    Distance to the river waah iam dead, uko strong . Now you need a borehole or underground tap to store much rain water, my home I see people use donkeys to transport water they carry like 4-6 containers.

      You could try a rainwater tank. They catch rain off the roof. That's what I have. I live in South Africa❤
