Hallo Lynn
I love, love, love this video. My two favourite RUclipsrs doing what I believe in.
Lynn thank you for everything you do.You have no idea how we in the diaspora appreciate your work.Kuja Canada we will be happy to host you
This was a blast, Lynn. Good job, my girl. Loved it to shreds!
That's good talk and I loved most of it.
But however Lynn, just saying, if we start building malls, real estate in villages, wouldn't that be turning them into cities, of which we are running away from in the first place?! Perhaps we should just keep the authenticity of our villages preserve the original lifestyle. Otherwise, we won't have villages anymore!
Nothing beats Countryside life.... My friends thought I had signed a quick death warrant after I packed my bags and headed to my Hometown but 5-6 years into it,most of them are accusing me of being selfish whenever they pass by! They are angry that I didn't share the visions I had about the transition!! Am not good at farming so I ventured into tourism and so far no regrets.... Am strategically located along the tourism corridor of Bwindi impenetrable forest and the Western side of Queen Elizabeth national park in Western Uganda.... Thank you Lynn Ngugi for picking interest in Jael's interesting life.... Come visit Western Uganda, you will love it
Hi.
Iam Lillian based a Ugandan based in Botswana. I would really love to visit that scenic place
@@lilianoluka7690 Hello,how's Botswana?
Hello Byaruhanga. I love what you do. Kindly share your email and we link up.
Wow this is an inspiration 👏
That's me and my family, we leaving end of this December. To go have a stress less life!
The quality of life Jael is living is unmatched… this is inspiring
I am sooo encouraged. I wish to live a village life but my friend go like........na hizo degree xote?
My house project started in 2017. I am patient. I have just roofed it. So madam take your time. You are building your house, it is not building you. I am also harvesting water. I am now standing at 10 water tanks, each carrying 10,000 litres of water. I am now sabing to do sollar. Meanwhile, I am doing 100 bee hives. Just getting ready to relocate to the village.
She is more comfortable than majority of those throwing shade at her. She has an awesome life...beautiful home and compound, food directly from the garden, fresh air, parks outside her house( doesn't have to pay kanjo),has water and electricity and paying school fees like other folks. She is blessed.
This is the best life ever.
My dear she is in a better place for now and the future the city is unhealthy
Very blessed
My dream and prayer,,,,,I am inspired lynn
Inspiring. The countryside is the place to be. Thank you Lynn for fishing her out.
I'm a Zambian nurse also working in the US. What Lynn in the US told you is true. I have been here for 34 years and in my 60s. You get trapped here and at the same time you get scared of returning home because you don't have anything back home. You entangle yourself of buying a house and paying for mortgage for the rest of your house. Even if you pay off your mortgage your property taxes tremendously go up and so you will never be free until you die. I have made up my mind to go back home now and live in the village. I have bought 11 acres of land about 45 minutes outside Lusaka the capital of Zambia. I have another one in another village also outside Lusaka. Although I come from the northern part of Zambia, one can buy land in any village and become part of that tribe and culture. We live where you want to live. You did well by not coming to US. So many Zambians are relocating back home. One of the friend just left last week. I'm also preparing of transportation back home. There is no life to enjoy here.
Welcome home,and hugs❤
Welcome back home indeed. 🇿🇲 no place like home
You have made the best decision
This is it,my canadian friends retired still struggle to pay property tax-this is one of the reasons I won’t buy property in Canada-Kenya has been calling since 2020 and I am now ready to pack and leave
Good luck 👍
Kenyan women are beautiful no makeup and glowing
I live in Australia, been here 19 years now n can’t wait to go back home😊. This lady is living my dream. ❤
She's turned a village into runda!!! Kudos to her. Makes me inspired to go back to my village.
Colonialism has messed up our minds and perspective on true living. The social conditioning is so deep many of us don't see 🤦♀️
As a Single Mom of 2 I tap into this Blessings🙏🏼❤

Great conversation ladies. Village farming life is the best in life. I retired at 48yrs after COVID-19 redundancy. I am farming and I am fulfilled
Are you in Kenya as well?
I live in the UK. Been here quite a number of years now. Jael’s life is the perfect life l have been dreaming of when I’m done with this UK life. You’ve given me even more motivation about realising my dream.
I'm a city girl at heart, born and bred. My parents moved to the City in the late 50s before we were born so all i knew was city life though they took us home once a year during school holidays. Now I'm married with grown kids and my own "dala", i want to make it a comfy place where we can all retreat occasionally to recover from city pressure. Though I'm not a farmer but my spouse loves farming so we balance 😂
“How do you show off what is your normal life?” Jael love that quote. You, live your life.
You are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Am living in the US and very soon am relocating to Oyugis. I always stay for 6month in the village, every time I visit Kenya.
She’s ahead of her time! Kudos to her 👏🏾👏🏾
I love this lady. She is authentic and honest. This is the type of a woman i compart with. We share the same dreams.
Me too USA retire in the Village in Zim.
Please get her contact from Lynn.
Among the many gifts I received this year was the discovery of Jael's channel. It's so entertaining, therapeutic and educative. Keep it up Mama and I wish you nothing but the best.

I am an American and I moved to the country/rural community in 2020. I never looked back! Jael is correct about living this type of life.

Thank you so much, Lynn, for the visit. You are such an amazing soul and it was so wholesome to have you here.

@Jael I just discovered your channel. Love love the content and the consistency ❤
Our girl Jael, you are an inspiration to many,Be blessed always....
Am one of your subscribers and tiz a great joy to watch you on this platform.
I have watched most of Jael's videos. She is living the life of my dreams. I love a peaceful quiet life of the village but it has to be next to a developed town. I love what she does. So inspiring!❤
She has really inspired me even more, after living abroad for so long, village life has been beckoning to me for years now and looking forward to make it come true soon.
I always tell my friends that Runda, Muthaiga or Karen don’t have to be in Nairobi. You can have all these in the village too. Always love your videos. Good job Jaber👏🏾👏🏾
True that ❤
I live in Karen and l feel like it's a mix of village and town life... reason, our place is Soo big so we do farming,we have cows, chicken, eat our own vegetables,corn...name it. I rarely go to town(Nairobi). Village life is beautiful 👍
I have been saying the same.I reside in one of those places. But working add to do a replica of the same, if not better and relocate for good.
@@alicehappiness509But it us becoming very expensive in places like Karen. Not with the immense property taxes being rolled out into the future.
We see the ORPHANAGES IN KENYA AND UGANDA JEEEEEEZ
I've watched Jael and love her life in the village. For the last couple of years I've been considering relocating to the village. You could say, 'I'm a village girl.' My husband is down for this as well. Unfortunately most people don't think village living can be fulfilling.
Having watched Jael on her channel, my resolve was strengthened. Thank you Lynn for this episode.
Village life is bae. Been subscribed and following Jael and the more I watch her the more I long to go back to the village. From London straight to the village 😊. Abba, Your time is perfect.
Watching this from a small village in Kwale county opportunities are hidden deep in the village...truth
Jael is really a vibe enjoying every hunk of life and quality time. this is what gives meaning to clean content...
Most of us grew up happily in the village with plenty of playing space and numerous adventures, then all of a sudden the village becomes a bad place, this has to change.
This is my little sister from another mother, osiepa nyar kabondo. So proud of her and always watch her vloggs.
Very inspiring mamma ❤❤
I am from Jael’s page and I hit the subscribe button so hard when you said we are looking for opportunities overseas when they are right there! So true. I am originally from Nigeria and came to America as a kid with my parents. The truth is they have sold us the western dream and made us think it’s the best thing in the world. I am glad Jael listened to her friend. My family in Nigeria would think you are an enemy of progress if you discouraged from coming to America. The truth is most of them are doing extremely well and coming out here will be a demotion to their lives, but they just want to go overseas. I came here as a kid and by the mercy of God after 30 years I am doing well, but I look forward to finding a peaceful place a the village. Also here in America, some of the wealthiest people live in the countryside AKA villages, but they own the stores and businesses in the cities. I visited my parents in the village when I was a kid and I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for bringing wichtcraft up, I thought it was only in my country. Most of my uncles ran from their mansions in the village because of that. I enjoyed this interview, thank you for promoting your sister. May God bless in all that you do.
Be fearless and courageous..go to land of your ancestors
Believe God and pray against that witchcraft. When you have faith, you'll overcome. Read your bible and pray
Jael I wish people in Africa would stop believing that life in north America is better than what they are leaving behind. Not so. American are leaving on the streets can't keep a roof over there heads. Stay in your country in your village. Find something to do
This is exactly what i have been telling my family and friends, hopefully i will have this in feature.
Urbanisation is just like migration in that they both have many advantages on a national level but it might be really detrimental for individuals. On individual level integration and coping in urban environment most likely leads to stress (environmentally, economically, socially) and in the end mental health issues.
I love the way that she reflected on what is more important in life, at least for her. She is a hard worker though not materialistic and therefore considered what mattered most for her family.
What an open strong woman! A pragmatic leader who makes sound life decisions. Yes, women can live on their own and we dont always need a man to live a fulfilling life. @lynn thank you for not pushing her or questioning her on her choice of living outside a marriage bond. Many of us live a celibate life by choice and our lives are a blast:)
This is amazing 👏... My friend recently retired from teaching at an American university and he wants to come back to Western to farm. This is what his future will look like. You've done an amazing job, thank you for showing us that life in the village can be beautiful 😍
Even before I watch the story let me comment ...I bumped into Jael's Channel 2 weeks ago and have been consistently watching her videos...was looking for how much it can cost me to build a house when I saw her video...she is a calm and a lovely lady ...now I came to my lovely Lyn's channel and I find her here and am like ' wow'....we are watching from Dubai and much love for the good show❤
I am beginning to think twice about leaving kenya for US after listening to that last part of the conversation
This interview has been on my mind, months later. It plainly speaks about the promise of regions & places but it takes a special set of eyes to _really_ catch & internalize that
Pliz stick to that thought and you will never regret it dea.
Please reflect and see the kind of environment your parents have set up before you move to the village. The basics are a proper home and access to enough land for economic activities. In many families you may come against internal strife.
If my dear you have not developed anything in your life , don't have a second thought just go to us
She is living better than some of us in the city 😢,
than most of us!
100% true
I just love staying in the village I am retiring in two years I have build my retirement house in the village
I love Jael, her voice in her videos is so calming. And I envy her life so much, peaceful, fresh food, fresh air, lots of space, chirping birds and the best part, the feeling of grass on bare feet, oh my!! She is living the dream.😊
My parents too, they are both retired from the UK and they relocated back to the village of Muranga. They are happy because really why are they in Nairobi at their retired age? Their lifestyle is very much like Jael, who I actually have been subscribed I love her story telling.
May God bless them

This has always been my dream;- moving the city in the village. I know God is gonna fulfil it, thanks Lynn for bringing such a wonderful lady Jael.
With all the social media and Internet you can make it anywhere if you put your heart into. Village life is perfect these days. You can also order things online and get them delivered to your home safely. Be positive. The air is fresh.❤
Jael, your friend Lynn in the States told you the absolute truth in black and white. As a Kenyan living in diaspora, I have come to learn that opportunities and "strong economies" don't equal to good quality of life. When you get to understand how the Western economies run you discern the fact that you are the donor, funding the economy. It never ends, never stops, you work like a slave over and over again, the cycle continues year in year out. Meanwhile, for various reasons, you're scared of returning home.
Kazi kazi nothing else in western world.
well said
€1000 a WEEK IN EUROPE.
I love Jael and watch all her vlogs, they are very therapeutic.
Honestly, alot of people in Kenya are struggling to make ends meet. If that person gets an opportunity outside the country, they can go make some money and come back and build something for themselves; business, home etc otherwise alot of folks will die poorer here
Very informative story of a successful village farmer in Africa. Farmers are the people who are responsible collectively for feeding the world population I'm from the US and career opportunities are good for educated people especially in the technology field. The US is a good place to visit. However, the cost of living is not cheap especially in larger cities!
Many Americans are struggling financially in the current economy of 2023 and homelessness is increasing in several major US cities.
The American dream is becoming a nightmare for some people! I encourage anyone from Africa who are now living in the Diaspora to build homes and businesses back in Africa as soon as they can.
Make sure to hire reputable builders and contractors so that you're not scammed or defrauded. Please make sure that you are also not scammed and taken advantage of by family members when you're building in Africa. I've heard so many stories about Africans in the Diaspora being defrauded by their own family members ehen building homes and businesses back home in Africa.
Well said, I couldn't agree more but the advice is for everybody for everywhere.
Oh wow. Lovely seeing Jael being interviewed by Lynn. Absolutely beautiful.

Hi J! I happened to come across your RUclips channel and couldn’t help but reach out. We were classmates and friends back in primo, and it’s been such a long time! I really appreciate the advice from your friend Lynn in the US-l have been living and working here in the US for nearly 20 years, and it’s true, as a CNA most of your money ends up going toward bills, leaving very little to do what you’re doing currently back in the village.
You are truly blessed to have such amazing parents who have accepted and welcomed you back, embracing you as a girl child despite the pressures of tradition and societal norms. I hope other parents take this as a lesson to love and accept their girl child.
Lots of love, and keep up the great work!
