2 years support is major dealbreaker. Even Realme promised 3 major android update with 4 years security support with GT7 Pro. Why Asus is still living in the past?
If it becomes root friendly, that could save it. However, being someone who has purchased "gaming phones" in the past, this type of support is standard. They sacrifice stability and durability in order to pack in the latest tech and flair while making as big a profit as possible
I say it's time to stop listening to these people online when they say these phones overheat.... These people fundamentally have no idea what overheating means or even is. Just because your phone gets 1° warmer than when it was when you weren't playing the game doesn't mean the phone is overheating. This goes for all you pixel haters and now all you haters of this phone, you all are truly sad!
yeah i agree with ya Bruh I've been using Rog 8 pro in a year it's absolutely powerful and fast it's my favourite daily driver over my XIAOMI 14 & iPhone 15 pro max based on my experience, i think those who can't afford it are just making up false information and spreading it they should stop assuming such made up ideas man.
I agree, but the deal-breaker for me is that at £1200, we only get two years of Android updates. That, for me, is anti-consumer; therefore, even if it overheats, I do not care, as no one should support an OEM that cheats on updates.
Good choice for choosing this ROG 9 pro over other SD 8E phones I'm sure you won't regret it Mate, I also use ASUS Rog8 pro previous one but it's been a solid driver for me I'm glad i made the right choice, if anyone don't have sufficient budget go for Redmagic 10 pro but for those who have packed wallet go for ASUS.
But they are both on par, why spend more where you can get it for cheapee price with exact same features. Red Magic have built in fans, without external accessories.
Antutu is not good for comparison across different os. Like how geekbench tests raw cpu power and 3d mark raw GPU power as direct cpu/GPU flops. But unlike those antutu contains ux and browsing related stuff which makes is little unfair when we only want to see cpu/GPU scores.
In reality, I'm surprised that the Rog Phone still manages to sell 🤔 At more than $1000-$1500, for what they offer at the hardware and especially software level (barely 2-3 years of Android version updates) for the same price (if you're as much of a smartphone gamer as that), you can have the Redmagic from the same year, and a really good high-end smartphone dating back 1-2 years for good software / software tracking and good camera 📸 Sincerely, I really, really can't understand how and why people put money into this thing 🤷🏽♂️
It seems strange that you've made an issue about the 2 years of OS updates when only 4 weeks ago you released a very good and informative video with the title "Why you DON'T need the latest version of Android!"
Here's why this phone is a true red flag 🚩: - 2 years of android update in 2024 with a snapdragon elite processor (i let you do your research on that one) - Over heat if no external cooler installed (the cooler is to buy seperately except if you buy the pro edition which is not the pro, the pro edition is basically what they used to call the ultimate) - not true stereo speakers (since rog phone 8) - 1099 euros for 256go for a gaming phone - 1199 euros for 512go - no sd card slot - terrible support from Asus - no unlockable bootloader (asus promised it since the rog phone 6 and lied to all of us) - anti consumer practice - downgraded air triggers (since rog phone 8) - over 120 euros for the cooler with boomer - no quad dac on the headphone jack (rog phone 5 headphone jack was litterally better) - probably upcoming wifi antenna problem/motherboard/dead cameras like the rog phone 5 series to 8 - asus customer center is litterally a joke to remember (if you know, you know) - the next Zenfone will be a clone just without the air triggers and will cost 100 to 150 bucks less - 5800mah lol (before the rog phone 8, the battery used to be 6000 mah, and now even worse because all snapdragon elite flagship will have at least 6000 mah and will go up to 7000 mah) - OVERPRICED
i agree with all of this except with the overheating vapor chambers are meant to get the heat out of the phone you benefit from this when using it with a cooler
Its not ultimate by only 2years of Software update and Tagged price which is really absurd and Asus think they can charged their consumers as much of penny they could possibly can RIP.
At least Gaming Phone has battery very big and feature that flagship phone don't have than iphone 16 pro max But iphone 16 pro max has stability software whenever apps and games than latest version android phone, especially Gaming Phone.
As good as that phone is, I will never buy that phone for that price with 2 year of update, ok camera which should be good camera... what a shame, I will stick wth Samsung and continue with playing game on it
Only Pros No cons ??? FullHD+ is not a con for a gaming phone? Huh 😂😂😂Comparing a budget FullHD+ to Premium iPhone QHD+ is a Sin. I know why your are quoting all the pros ,I can understand it's the part of the game but atleast you may have mentioned it somewhere in the video for atleast a fraction of seconds.
But FHD is a pro in my book!!!! Don't want extra pixels to push around especially for gaming!!! And battery gains too!! Remember Nintendo switch specifically designed for gaming with bigger screen isn't even FHD!!!
