7:40 Ben Johns' backhand roll. The ball is aimed at the right shoulder of his right-handed opponent to jam him. Watch it in slow-mo to study the paddle motion that Ben uses to create the topspin to keep the ball in the court.
I LOVE playing pickleball, but I really can't understand the drive to have "pickeball franchises" because quite frankly watching the sport is quite boring. Sorry, but the athleticism that's on display in great tennis matches, such as Nadal's and Alcaraz's, just doesn't show up here, especially in doubles.
Lol because doubles is not really about being super athletic buddy. Pickleball is a strategy game where u have to use your brain 🧠 much more than tennis
@@SamReader9 , I don't agree that pickleball requires more brainpower than tennis (ask Arthur Ashe), but nothing you said makes me want to watch it, anyway. Having said all this, I can't wait to play tomorrow while everybody is eating turkey. :)
@@offthefront7537 , if you think that two or three minutes of a 33 minute video qualifies as "watching" then, well, as a newcomer to this game I watched that much in passing curiosity, to see just how advanced some players might be. Still confused?

Johns just had to show them how to play the drive game 😂😅
Can’t wait to check this out!

I prefer to play singles but it’s seems to be pretty unpopular around the courts I go to
Help me to understand why you are watching. You don't like watching but you're watching. I'm confused.
