As soon as the video starts I can always pick out Ben because he moves more gracefully than everyone else on the court
Ben in this match was so Electric! The foray of shots hit was unimaginable
Dude put on a clinic.
Ben doesn't need a partner. He can cover the whole court 😆
Yikes (and wow)! Ben, I love how you never (ever) give in 👍🙂
I got a 16mm CFS Joola a few days ago. Very solid paddle loving it so far.
Love these highlight vids
GOAT 🐐
Reguardless of who won, this is the greatest Pickleball you will ever see.
This is the skill ceiling? lol
@@dawgyv72 It was a year ago.
Great editing
What up fellow Johns
I’m coming for this spot Ben.
Why does this comment have no replies, this is a pro pickleballer who played Ben Johns
@@jacksimeri2890because nobody knows him
4:00-4:24 Bro is a killer
I’ve been playing pickleball for a couple of years, and I have never seen what happened between minute 1:36 through 1:39. Can somebody please help me understand? Does the no valley zone rule not apply at the pro level? Thank you. Looking forward to seeing this clarified.
You can step in NVZ as long as ball bounces in NVZ
@@slo3097 Thank you for the reply. I know that a player can step into the NVZ after the ball bounces in there first. But what I wanted clarification was on what stroke could be used while hitting the ball in the NVZ. I was always told you couldn’t use any other stroke/slam while in the NVZ. Only way one could hit the ball in the NVZ was using an underhand stroke. This is where I am confused.
@@kvnmrn87 sounds like people who don’t want to lose to you. No such rule. Swing away. Only serve has specific rules on how you hit the ball
you can literally be in the Non Volley zone before a bounce, as long as you dont touch the ball in the air (non-Volley Zone). Ben saw the ball going high that was landing in the kitchen and waited for it to bounce first and then hit it. if he would of touched the ball in the air before it hit the kitchen it would of been a fault. :) you can be in the kitchen but its not wise as opponent can literally hit the ball towards you and if you touch it its over.
@@paulhinrichsen10this isn’t a rule. you can be in the NVZ whenever you like. the ball does not have to bounce before you go in. the only rule is that you can’t hit the ball out of the air while in the NVZ
Ben could’ve won it in straight games by himself!
They have to make new levels to properly place Ben Johns. Ana is going to need the next level also.
Wait how is Colin's smash at 2:24 legal? He was in the kitchen and the ball didn't bounce
Colin Johns best defense in pickleball
I thought this was tennis for older people. But I was wrong. I am sorry
It's a different game because the ball design is different. The holes allow air to slow down the ball unlike the tennis ball where you transfer the full energy from the racket to the ball and it can travel more than 100 MPH. It's not the power game like tennis.
we welcome you friend
did he win singles?
McGuffin had to pull out due to a medical issue
what is a pickleball
Can someone explain why it seems to be a common practice to play over your partner?
it’s all about the forehand. a forehand dink is much easier than a backhand. as well as covering the middle of the court.
overrated
How ridiculous is it to show the USA flags next to the names? As if the rest of the world is dumb enough to play this sport.😂
Good one nerd.
@@MajorBrev Thanks idiot.
China is releasing their pickleball debut so keep talking bud
About as boring a sport as you can watch.
once u play it u will realize how exciting this sport is and further realize how out-of-this-world these immensely talented pros are professions
@@guyrestivo looks like an easy version of tennis
@@trippytoxin different skill set tbh, singles is more like tennis but still has more soft-game / volleying than tennis
This is American ingenuity as a fun sport for the mass.
@@guyrestivo I enjoy playing but don't find much interest in watching it very much. Only watched it because I heard BJ hogs the court and wanted to see if it was true (it is). But it's funny how watching tennis is much more interesting and fun to me compared with pickleball. Maybe because I also don't watch doubles tennis.
Colin doesn’t even need to be here
